  1. I feel it would be a complete disaster for the club to build a completely new stadium. Stamford Bridge is our home and will always be our home. It would never feel the same and also as Kez says to have it called something like the Samsung Arena would be totally wrong. Extension on the current site is our only real option.
  2. Or that they don't catch it from members of the Bolton squad. Apparently 4 players from the Bolton squad have had it. Bolton manager Gary Megson has revealed that members of his own squad have suffered with swine flu Source http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/football/news-and-comment/bolton-confirm-swine-flu-cases-1810188.html
  3. Absolutely agree, although I'm not sure about moving to a completely new stadium, our home is Stamford Bridge and that's how it should stay. We'd have to extend the current site somehow. One thing i'd say is that we need more leg room as it can feel a little cramped.
  4. I think it all depends on where you are sitting in Matthew Harding Lower and also the opposition. I was in Row E, Gate 14 for the Liverpool game and it was excellent and I felt really at ease and was able to sing my heart out. I found Row P (gate 14 again) a little quieter for the Blackburn game, although it did seem to improve as the game went on. I've got Row S gate 15 for the Wolves Game and will see how that goes.
  5. It was still an exciting game though. He was only responding to someones request, not everyone can get to the game and some people do have to work at the weekends. If I hadn't have seen the match and had heard the result I would have been intrgiued to know what went on. It's not everyday that we score 5-0 :champions:
  6. Welcome to TalkChelsea :blue scalf: For official Supporters Clubs, take a look on the official site - Chelseafc.com under Club. There is one for Mid-Wales listed. Other than that it is a case of searching google and you might find an un official club listed near to you.
  7. I don't, but it's still frustrating. It's 8 weeks to Christmas thereabouts, so an announcement must be imminent I would have thought. Who knows...
  8. Yes it is only a matter of time, but I just wish he'd just do it and sign the new contract and stop all the media speculation.
  9. Bloody hell, that's the last thing we need.
  10. I was going to post a separate thread on this, but I might as well ask here. What in you opinion is the best station to listen to for sports action? I just want to be able to listen to sports news on the way to work.
  11. Yes I thought i'd never see it happen, then when we (MH lower) tried to get the Shed doing it nothing happened. Disappointed there.
  12. Why bother to give this so called fan the airtime, what absolute rubbish. Drogba is definitely on form at the moment and is unstoppable imo.
  13. I am completely buzzing after that performance, atmosphere was superb and even got to do the Bouncy Bouncy, loved the rapport between the stands trying to get each one to do it. We looked very strong through out, we should be proud. Good to see Lamps scoring again, and nice to Bruma making an appearance. I can see a pattern here, 4-0 against Athletico Madrid, 5-0 against Blackburn, so would be nice to keep it going and make it 6-0 against Bolton on Wednesday?
  14. Think the latest is that Ray Wilkins is confident that he will be there. Nothing on the official website, or not that i've seen.
  15. Absolutely, we've won every game so far at home and I think we'll do it again today. I think our last 3 meetings with Blackburn in the Premiere League we've won against them.
  16. At least he scored vs Athletico and hopefully that will mean he'll be on a roll and that he's found his form. He's now overtaken Jimmy Greaves's number of goals which was 132 and is now 133.

  18. Even though I've only recently become a supporter, I do recognize the significance of what he brought to the club and agree he should never be forgotton. It was an absolute waste of a life. I feel we should remember the people that died with him too.
  19. Sorry this is so late, some of us have to work. Anyway, what a dazzling display I saw yesterday and another home win for us. The atmosphere I thought was a little sombre at the start and I found it took time for us to get going (fans and players), it didn't stop me enjoying myself. Good to see Lamps finally scoring, let's hope he keeps it up for future matches. I think we have every chance of winning the league with what I saw last night. I know we will have tougher opponents, but I think we can cope. I know we'll have players missing in January (i.e. Drogba, Essien, Kalou for the Africans Cup, but we've still got Anelka and Sturridge as strikers. My only worry would be if either of these players were to become injured.
  20. Why? . I think he'll come up trumps on Wednesday. All good things come to those who wait...
  21. I can already see the men in white coats coming to take Benitez away
  22. Ferguson charged over ref remarks Ferguson criticised Wiley's fitness Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has been charged with improper conduct by the Football Association for his comments on Alan Wiley's fitness. Ferguson questioned referee Wiley's fitness after the 2-2 draw with Sunderland on 3 October. More to follow. Source : bbc.co.uk/sport
  23. Yeah I was wondering what happened to Sturridge and Zhirkov.
  24. Absolute classic, this shows him at his best imo
