  9. Was that Chelsea fans or Spurs fans?
  10. There will be a moment's silence to remember the victims of the Hillsborough tragedy, which occurred at an FA Cup semi-final on this day in 1989. There will also be silence to remember Italian footballer Piermario Morosini, who died yesterday.
  11. Shitting bricks a bit, come on you blues!
  12. Coys320 from TottenhamHotspurs.tv has kindly answered some questions on today's FA Cup Semi Final with Tottenham! - Firstly, thank you very much for taking the time to answer the questions. We will start the interview with an easy question, how long have you supported Spurs for? Spurs fan since I was around 10, so that would be around 30 years (give or take a year). - Tottenham have been a bit up and down as of late, what do you think the reasoning for it has been but more importantly are you happy with the season thus far? Spurs up and down. Well certainly. At the start of the season I would have taken 4th and a semi final clash with Chelsea. In fact I would have bitten your hand off for it. But after being in such a great position it is a shame that we are looking likely to throw it away. Every team has a bad patch and now is ours, but hopefully we'll pull through. The general thoughts of Spurs fans is the uncertainty of Redknapps future, which I agree with to a degree, but I also feel some of our players maybe took a few games for granted and some look a little tired... so all these factors have had a factor.... I still think we'll get 4th, considering the teams around us and their run in (including Chelsea) and as long as we focus. - Chelsea's defense has been a bit up and down as of late, we have let in some very sloppy goals. Do you think you will pressure us into making the same mistakes? Well you are now missing your influential right back.. I think that could really make a difference (considering he pops up with goals as well). If I were Arry, I would say get at Luiz as much as possible and get him rattled, that boy always has a mistake in him. Terry not 100%, so there could be a weakish link there as well. - What are your thoughts on Fernando Torres? He has been playing some great football for Chelsea in recent weeks and in slowly finding form again. Do you think he will start finding the net on a more regular basis? I feel sorry for Torres. It just hasn't worked has it. maybe RDM will get some good games out of him, but I think if in the last few games of the season he doesn't hit the net, RA will shift him out whether RDM wants that or not. - William Gallas was an outstanding contributor to Chelsea's successful run between 2001-06, before leaving Chelsea for Arsenal and then moving on to Spurs. How has he been playing for you? Gallas has been a bit of a revalation to be honest. Dependable and really tries to lead. I wish our team had other characters like him around. Wannabe winners are nothing compared to players to have seen it and done it. Hopefully he'll stay fit for the run in. - If you had to pick one Chelsea player to join Spurs, who would it be and for what reason? One player from Chelsea who would fit Spurs. Not sure really. It depends on what happens to our squad at the end of the season. Will ade stay or go etc.. but I would certainly think that Drogba still has some good time left. So I would say the Drogs.. other than that maybe Sturridge as I think he has huge potential, not sure how the others would fit, with our current squad and formations. No disrespect here, but I wouldn't pay £5 to have Terry or Cole in the squad. can't stand either of them to be honest for varying reasons. - Looking at your current squad, which player has been your stand out player this season? If you had to choose one player that you think would make an impact at Chelsea who would it be and why? For Me Parker is top drawer. Without him the likes of Bale, Modric, Lennon etc would not have the freedom. So he's a real essential cog in our machine. We missed Lennon as well, which is why our recent run has been as it has been. It goes without saying that Modric would fit into virtually any team in the world. I also think VDV could suit Chelsea really well.. though touch wood the boys from the end of North End Road won't come and Poach (I used to live on North End Road by the way!!) - Finally, what do you think the final score will be in our very important FA Cup Semi final encounter? It's a tough call this semi. I fancy Everton against the dippers on Saturday, but our game I really can't be sure. 2 draws this season.. so it could go either way. If Arry plays a straight forward 442, with Lennon on Right and Bale hugging the touchline (which he hasn't recently) I think we;'ll give you blues a real run for your money. If he goes Sandro and Parker in the middle (as long as Parker is fit) then I think that we'll have the possession but just won't score. We'll see. I'll go positive and say 2-1 Spurs. But I certainly wouldn't bet on it. Click here to view the article
  13. SionTHFCRoberts from TottenhamHotspurs.tv has answered some questions on today very important FA Cup Semi Final clash with Tottenham! - Firstly, thank you very much for taking the time to answer the questions. We will start the interview with an easy question, how long have you supported Spurs for? Ever since i discovered the game of football, i dont kow why i picked them tbh Im in Noth Wales and everyone is a United, Liverpool or Everton fans. Also my old man is a Villa fan so i guess i was ment to be with tottenham! - Tottenham have been a bit up and down as of late, what do you think the reasoning for it has been but more importantly are you happy with the season thus far? Firstly i think our season has been great up untill we beat Newcastle 5-0 ever since then it has been downhill and also with Capello leaving England the media have'nt stopped talking about Redknapp and the England job. It has obviously effected the players too. I think the injury of Aaron Lennon didnt help as we had to play players out of possition and it was just a massive disaster. Bale has started to think he is CR7 playing on the right which is annoying because he is shite on that side, hes gotten more selfish shooting from 25-35 yrds out when there was a decent pass on for him. But overall the team have just lost whatever we had at the start of the season we were playing fast free flowing attacking football but now its just gone. - Chelsea's defense has been a bit up and down as of late, we have let in some very sloppy goals. Do you think you will pressure us into making the same mistakes? If we turn up and play like we did against you at the bridge we have a great chance im also guessing some of your "big" players will be rested for Barca so hopefully Luiz and Cahill at the back. That Luiz is a disatster waiting to happen i dont know why he goes on them attacking rung but it leaves you wide open at the back and hopefully we can exploit that. - What are your thoughts on Fernando Torres? He has been playing some great football for Chelsea in recent weeks and in slowly finding form again. Do you think he will start finding the net on a more regular basis? I have always rated Torres and always will and that volley against Wigan last week was world class, unlucky to hit the post. Recently he has been playing well from what i have seen looking like the old Torres we knew from hid days in red. Hopefully he has a shite game against us hahaha - William Gallas was an outstanding contributor to Chelsea's successful run between 2001-06, before leaving Chelsea for Arsenal and then moving on to Spurs. How has he been playing for you? Hes been conistent to be fair he has his moments but i he has been playing well lately coming in for the injured dawson. I expect he will play tomorrow alongside King. Losing Kaboul will be a massive blow to as he is so good in the air and takes no bullshit when he defends. Im hoping he can step up against his old side and score a 90th min winner like that donkey did today - If you had to pick one Chelsea player to join Spurs, who would it be and for what reason? Thats a tough one, i would take an in-form Torres. He is deadly on his day but also Juan Mata has been fantastic this year for you. Also Petr Cech he has been such a good keeper over the years, it would be between them three. - Looking at your current squad, which player has been your stand out player this season and if you had to choose one player that you would think would make an impact at Chelsea who would it be and why? Again Kaboul has improved so much this year and has been a vital part of our back four, Bale has been outstanding this season too but just abit on the selfish side, But i think that Bale would create an impact ot Chelsea simply because he is a world class player. He has got everything in him , Pace, Power, Skill he can cross a ball and also has a magnificent left boot. - Finally, what do you think the final score will be in our very important FA Cup Semi final encounter? It could go either way if we dont turn up it could be a cricket score but if Redknapp talks some sence and the players are up for it maybe we will win 2-0. Wont be suprised if we lose tho. 14. NSSMuckers from TottenhamHotspurs.tv had kindly taken part in a interview for today's FA Cup Semi Final with Spurs! - Firstly, thank you very much for taking the time to answer the questions. We will start the interview with an easy question, how long have you supported Spurs for? 3 years. - Tottenham have been a bit up and down as of late, what do you think the reasoning for it has been but more importantly are you happy with the season thus far? I still refuse to believe it has anything to do with the Harry / England speculation, though I'm sure that's the answer you're going to hear quite a bit. I think it's fatigue, lack of depth, naivete shown by our manager, overconfidence, and plain bad luck. I think if you'd have proposed the situation we're in now at the beginning of the year, most of us would have taken it instantly. From that perspective I think overall it's been a good season so far. But considering where we were in December? It's pretty disappointing. We can still make it right, but I'm not sure you'll find a lot of us willing to bet on it. - Chelsea's defense has been a bit up and down as of late, we have let in some very sloppy goals. Do you think you will pressure us into making the same mistakes? I think we tend to play up or down to our competition (3 thrashings notwithstanding), so we won't make it easy for you. With Ivanovic suspended I can definitely see Bale having some success down the left, even though the unibrow tends to play pretty well against us. I don't know which central defensive pairing we'll see, but I rate both Luiz and Cahill. Having said that, it depends which Luiz shows up. The guy was even making ME nervous against Benfica at Stamford Bridge, but overall I think he's improved a great deal. - What are your thoughts on Fernando Torres? He has been playing some great football for Chelsea in recent weeks and in slowly finding form again. Do you think he will start finding the net on a more regular basis? Torres was pretty awful against Fulham, but you're correct in pointing out he's definitely improving. I really like Torres and have a hard time believing he's just going to be shit for the rest of his career. There's an elite player still in there somewhere, and I think we'll see it eventually--even if it's not in a Chelsea shirt. - William Gallas was an outstanding contributor to Chelsea's successful run between 2001-06, before leaving Chelsea for Arsenal and then moving on to Spurs. How has he been playing for you? Gallas was absolutely immense for us last season and since he's been fit he's been important for us this season as well. With King having a few shockers recently it's been important to have Bill playing again. I'd say Kaboul / Gallas is our best defensive pairing at this point. Plus the dude has been a great pro and I wish we had more people with his attitude. - If you had to pick one Chelsea player to join Spurs, who would it be and for what reason? Courtois, Sturridge, or Lukaku. Can't pick between them. Sturridge is obviously proving himself an excellent Premiership player, and the two young Belgians surely have bright futures ahead of them. - Looking at your current squad, which player has been your stand out player this season and if you had to choose one player that you would think would make an impact at Chelsea who would it be and why? Close one for me but I'd give it to Bale or Adebayor. Bale could have a big impact with Ivanovic missing. Adebayor was very good the last time we met, just couldn't find a goal. - Finally, what do you think the final score will be in our very important FA Cup Semi final encounter? I'm one of the pessimists. I don't have high expectations for this game or even for the rest of the season. So 2-1 Chelsea. Click here to view the article
