  1. Fuck me....the amount of City fans who have left early.
  2. Just to get this right....Erik Lamela cost the same as Willian.
  3. Maybe, or maybe he's been shit all season and he's having a bit of luck today against a team who spent £100 million but have to stick a centre-back at left-back. And they have a manager who seems to struggle to organise a defence properly.
  4. Fucking love Gus for saying that. Riley has set himself a ridiculous precedent by apologising for that penalty and now every manager should be looking for one. Or he should admit he was wrong, the bald, thick cunt.
  5. Surprised at that Mourinho statement because Hazard tracked back his usual amount I thought last night. Was down by his own corner flag when Demel 'ghosted' past him. Either way it's clear Mourinho wants to make him into a new Ronaldo which is why he's stuck with him this season. With Oscar and Rami putting in such massive shifts it frees him up a little, but he still has to do his fair share of pressuring and tracking back.
  6. Rotation has it's place, but to do it for it's own sake after a good performance can be detrimental to a side's chemistry. You want to build some consistency especially after some of the results we had before yesterday, but he could decide to make half a dozen changes. It's hard to look at yesterday's team and say anyone needs dropping to be honest.
  7. Not sure if Jose will make any changes for this game, especially when we're looking to build on yesterday's win. This game is on Tuesday, the Southampton game is on Sunday so I'm not sure rest is going to be an issue. Plus Jose has a habit of wanting to take opportunities to seal qualification at the earliest opportunity, then you can fuck around in the dead rubber so why not let this team gel and make changes after 60 minutes?
  8. Not sure that was Lukaku's man. I have a feeling that Lukaku was assigned Henderson rather that Coutinho.
  9. Won't get much credit and the lack of a striker for West Ham undoubtedly helped, but was solid in defence and brought the ball out of defence well.
  10. Thought I was going mental reading some of the posts on here. It seems as though people can't accept Frank had a good game without it being because he was in the pivot, but having looked at the heat maps (and watched the game) he was still playing in a deep role. The difference was that he was able to get forward a bit more, perhaps because of the opposition, perhaps because of the hard work done by other players (like Oscar) and perhaps because of the inclusion of Mikel.
  11. Yesterday I was thinking the same. 2-0 up and with Rafa you'd be worrying about us conceding two, but with Jose you're looking at a third.
  12. Always funny to go on Twitter and see the people giving him shit when the team is announced, only to begrudgingly have to admit it was a good performance and he got it spot on.
  13. A lot of players have been poor recently, but they all stepped up. Defensively though, Frank was very good yesterday. Second highest number of tackles and at least one of them led to a chance for us, whilst he also led the midfield in clearances. It seems to be the argument that he didn't play in the pivot but he wasn't that much more advanced than he was in the West Brom game. Mikel next to him seems to allow him to get forward more which makes you wonder if Rami might miss out on a few home games in favour of someone like Willian. Still haven't decided on MOTM though. Oscar was again fantastic but two goals against your old team is a fantastic thing.
  14. A match of so many fuck you's. Firstly to West Ham, who never got in the game because we didn't let them. Doesn't help that they had no striker and aren't very good, although I was impressed by Morrison and also by Noble. Oscar handed out a few to those people who suggested he doesn't have vision, or what it takes to be a number 10. The guy was fantastic again and everything went through him. His workrate was absolutely phenomenal and he took his goal well. It also leads on to another fuck you, from Mourinho to everyone who questioned his selection especially that of leaving Mata on the bench. Oscar right now is simply too good to now play in that position and he is increasingly becoming our most important player. He ties everything together from defence to attack, setting the tempo for the passing and also the urgency of our pressing game. Mikel handed out a few fuck you's to those who suggested he was too weak for this game and it was good to see him put in another solid performance....consistency is the key though. Ivanovic got back to his early season form, was solid in defence and whipped in some absolute beauties from the right. But the biggest fuck you has to have come from Frankie Lampard, not just to the pikeys who always love to have a pop at him as they see just what they missed out on but also to those so-called Chelsea fans who have given him shit for the last couple of weeks and suggested that he's been atrocious all season. Apparently he deserved dropping but Mourinho didn't have the balls to, he was past it, he lets us down....well FUCK YOU. Absolutely fantastic performance in a more fluid position, although he was still playing in the pivot but given more freedom to go forward. Great old-fashioned Mourinho win. Felt bad for Joe Cole though.
  15. Um, no. That's bollocks. Sorry. Anyway....great game from Mikel yesterday. Didn't really put a foot wrong and a real change from the performance he put in against West Ham last season. Again, it's about consistency with him so hopefully he keeps it up.
  16. Great match...didn't actually plan on watching it but now I'm fucking late for the Chelsea match. Worth the speeding ticket to see Lukaku score a brace against the scousers though. If he can do the bin dippers then we can do the pikeys. Come on you blues! :woo:
  17. I have him on ignore so didn't see that until you quoted it. RMPR seems to have gone all .
  18. You can join RMPR and ChelseasMessiah on the ignore list. I come here to talk to Chelsea supporters. Enjoy your pint.
  19. Just imagine if we had fans who could put up with a player making the odd mistake but scoring goals as he develops. Boy, that was bad timing wasn't it. (Just to make it clear that statement above doesn't pertain to you ) Yeah but he has a bad touch with his back to goal and he blah blah blah.... He scores goals, he makes things happen by his sheer presence and I think the best people to have around him are world-class coaches like Mourinho and world-class players.
  20. I actually missed that first time around, but just had a look at some of the comments. The disconnect certain members of this forum have with the traditions of this club is quite astounding sometimes.
  21. Um, a few are. Messi, Ronaldo and Suarez have all made more tackles and interceptions per game than Mata has this season. Messi works his bollocks off in matches, as does Suarez funnily enough. In fact I'd definitely call Suarez a 'workhorse' although that would be a long way down the line after cunt, tosser, prick, wanker, fuckface etc. Heynckes was credited with turning both RIbery and Robben into much more rounded players (RIbery averages more tackles and interceptions per match than Mata does too) whlst Gotze averages roughly as many tackles and interceptions per game as Schweinsteiger. And how many interceptions? That's unfair I know, because he doesn't have any. The difference is that this time you actually looked at the stats before saying that he has been making tackles and interceptions. And he makes HALF the number of tackles on average per game that Ozil does. But stats don't tell the whole story. At the end of the day we have to make our own conclusions based on what we see.
  22. Then Mata should most definitely join one of these top clubs who won't ask him to defend. Here at Chelsea there seems to be a desire for players to put a shift in defensively - the same actually happens at clubs like Dortmund, Barca and Bayern who look for their players to work as a unit....so where's that leave Mata? PSG? Notice though I didn't just say it was about 'defensive production' but knitting the team together. I still think Oscar does that better than Mata and it's what I liked about him when we first signed him.
