  1. Werner hasn't been that great at Spurs either, even Leipzig didn't want to keep him as a squad rotation player... As for Mudryk, the problem for him will be the price tag. If he was another 35 million signing like most other wingers/players from Shaktar, the pressure would be less.
  2. Mudryk will end up being a bang average winger with that typical burst of pace. I just don't see him becoming a player who is going to score/assist 15 goals a season in the Premier League. That 70 million price tag (along with Fofana's transfer fee....considering the injuries he had at Leicester) will go down as two of the worst transfers in PL history.
  3. He'll fit right in with Reece! injury record
  4. That just sounds like someone from Villa's side trying to jack up the transfer fee for a player who would be nothing more than an impact sub right now. I'm not seeing any links for Duran from the other PL sides chasing European football next season...
  5. That would make sense as to why Tuchel pulled out of the race, he was talking up a return to English football for months. Who were the other candidates? De Zerbi/Poch/Southgate?
  6. If true, might be the best news of the transfer window....to get out of Sterling's contract! The most interesting thing would be how the club views Santos' development. Feel like another solid season on loan would be beneficial for him after wasting months at Forest.
  7. @Mário César @Vesper do you think Costa would be an upgrade on our current goalkeepers at Chelsea?
  8. If we're starting both Duran and Jackson next season, we'll be mid-table once again!
  9. Which makes no sense as Fofana was loaned to a PL club to prove himself and he was one of the bright spots for that Burnley team.
  10. If we're really looking for a striker, we should just get Solanke back. At least he's capable of getting 15+ goals in the PL. Unless Maresca has asked for another young striker....I just don't see how Duran helps us stay in the mix for European football next season.
  11. Super talented? The kid has potential for sure but he played like 10 times for Santos first team before we decided to spend 15 million on him. That's what I don't understand about signing and hoarding all these 18-19 year old players when they haven't even played a full season of first team football for their clubs in South America. Compare that to Angelo Gabriel, there's at least a decent sample size as he played 100 games for Santos before signing for us and then he was able to develop this season in Ligue 1.
  12. The only significant sale would be Gallagher (significant as in more than 40 million). Broja and Chalobah will be low ball offers and even Dortmund is trying to pay less for Maatsen.
  13. Exactly...and he's already got a history of knee problems, muscle problems, was recovering from a Cruciate injury last season. Imagine him trying to survive in the premier league. He'd do well with Conte at Napoli, seems like the right manager to get the best out of him.
  14. That's like the green light for our scouting department! Just waiting for the Romano updates to start 😆
  15. I thought Olise mentioned last season that his preference would be a move to United...
  16. Why would Ederson move here? The only links for him were from Saudi league, which was to get a nice retirement fund (even KDB said the same thing recently, he would consider going there for a year or two).
  17. They also have the funds to satisfy City's requirements. Aren't we already on the FFP/PSR Radar due to massive transfer fees in the past few seasons? I doubt spending another 80+ million on an attacker is going to help that situation. I feel like Alvarez would be best suited to La Liga, he could really make a name for himself like other South American forwards. Ligue 1 is like a training ground for talent, good players shouldn't be spending their prime years over there.
  18. If we're looking for more of an attacking mid/winger type, surely the guy to go after is Eze at Palace. Alvarez is a good overall player but spending that much is crazy, he would end up like Havertz here...
  19. Maybe James, Fofana and Lavia were getting bored and they want a new buddy in the treatment room.
  20. "accounting gymnastics" 😆 Essentially, if we don't sell our academy products for decent money, we're screwed (that's why I see Gallagher being sold as I don't think Chalobah or Broja will get that much in transfer fees).
  21. I'm sort of surprised that we're not linked to any experienced strikers (in that Giroud/Demba Ba mould) who could come in and put in a decent shift and take the pressure off Jackson/Palmer/Nkunku (as he gets fully fit).
  22. They also had injuries to their starting GK, CB and many other squad level players... To be taking on UCL + PL (solid top 4 run), you need some proper depth in your first team squad. Depends on if Emery can keep the core group together and then add some depth. I feel like they did have a decent run this season with PL and the European league competition (getting to the latter stages, not having enough to get past the eventual champions). I'd still expect them to be around the top 6... City/Arsenal will be the top 2, if Slot figures it out quickly Liverpool shouldn't be dropping from top 4....that leaves us, Spurs, Villa, Newcastle and United battling for the 4th spot.
  23. Still led Roma to the Conference League title in 22 and then backed it up with getting them to the Europa League final the following year. He might be stubborn and stuck to his ways but that's how Mourinho operates and in most places it gets results (other than Spurs who are just cursed).
  24. Number one for winning trophies, absolutely. Number one without debate? Feel like Mourinho should be in that debate...he was winning like a mad man in his younger days.
