  1. 1st off, we're doing just fine with RDM, 2nd, i dont think he's that good, with all due respect. He managed a world class team that before he took charge, has always been serious candidate for the CL glory. Looking from the midfield forward, they've almost got the best players in every position, nevermind Puyol, Alves and Pique.. Oh and he cant handle players with big personalities, look at what happended to Ronaldinho, Deco, Eto'o, Ibrahimovic... Were they playing poorly before or after he came? Not really. Reports said thatbHad he stayed another year at Barcelona, Pique would surely be on his way out of the club, because of his "lifestyle", that dont fit the schoolboy environment he had created @ barca
  2. yea, he's lost that pace, and lost the confidence...it's sad but it's just a matter of time before he's replaced with another in-form world class striker
  3. we will get Falcao, eventually..I just hope that it's January
  4. He Should be banned from the bridge! Stuffs like this is damaging the club, and its getting tougher to deal with
  5. I celebrated all of Chelsea's goals v Barca like mad, punching furnitures, facebook everyone i know, ESPECIALLY Barca fans lol
  6. Bring on united! Should be a cracking game! N Torres will score a few againts utd.. Again
  7. AVB still preferring Freidle to Lloris? Incredible..
  8. lol saw this one a while ago...hilarious still!
  9. We probably said sth similar before Torres came to Stamford Bridge. what if we bought Falcao and he stopped scoring for the whole year? then we buy hulk? and then messi?..
  10. Easy to say.. Look at this: Messi with service = 2004– Barcelona 218 apps (175 goals) Messi without service (the likes of Xavi, Iniesta &co.) = Argentina form 2005– Argentina 73apps (28goals) Don't forget Torres provided several key assists in last year's Champions League (notably Kalou's away goal vs Benfica)
  11. Agree with Alex. The 2 goals we conceded weren't stupid goals. Well, depends on what you mean by it, stupid as in lucky/unlucky goals then no. Stupid as in we-could-have-dealt-with-it-but-we-didnt then yes. Vidal would always try to shoot whenever he can and we didnt close him down quick enough, or because our defense thought he was injured & wouldnt take a proper shot. Terry's decision on the 2nd goal,..well, bad bad decision from Terry. We were brilliant in the 1st half, but dropped back and allowed them to play their game in the 2nd, and they scored. (Remember the score could have been 3-2 to Juve had the shot from Quagliarella not bounce off the bar but gone in instead). All in all I thought it was a fair result.
  12. Really? he was 1v3 most of the time, and for those who said Hazard was the bright spot of the match, yes I totally agree...in the first half. He got completely marked out in the second half by Chiellini alone when switching to the right flank. Not trying to criticise Hazard or anything cause he was really hard working and dangerous when given space last night. But I think we've gotta give Torres a break, I thought he played pretty well last night, fighting for most balls, held up well. Chances just didnt come his way and he didnt get much room with his back to goal and 3 defenders around.
  13. The game changed when Ramires was subbed. I always looked at Pirlo whenever Juve had the ball, and i think it was usually Rami and (suprisingly) Oscar who pressed him most of the time, forcing him to quick passes and little time to pick out Juve's front men. Since Pirlo operates quite deep it was not Mikel and Lampard's position to harass him. Juve got somewhat frustrated in the first half and started skipping Pirlo, playing long balls to Giovinco and Vucinic, making it easier for us. When ramires was subbed however, the level intensity also dropped and we started sitting deep, which allowed Pirlo more space and time (like England match vs Italy in the Euro), and they started playing Conte's style of high possession, pressing football. Once our midfield won the ball back (Mikel and Lampard), we were pressed by Marchisio and Vidal, and we all know what happens when Mikel is under pressure... Another thing I got from the game was that Chiellini, again, is world class. He completely marked Hazard out of the game in the second half when Hazard switched to the right wing.
  14. besides the Juve game beside the Juve game then I completely agree. He's good at the national team, but not yet reach that level to be able to decide the big games. The teams Brazil played against in the Olympics were average or poor, just look at the final. At least that's what I think.
  15. lol didnt see the photo the first time. Honestly though it can go either way if bendtner plays (I highly doubt it though). Shiet @ Arsenal where he gets quite a lot of service, but pretty good @ national team =.=
  16. But anyhow i predict a close match, decided by either Pirlo, Hazard, and Torres, if it's one of their days. Hopefully we can come out on top. I've watched Pirlo played a hundred times (I'm also a Milan fan *sigh*) and he does get bullied at times when the opposition midfielders can harass and isolate him. Then he'll start drifting wide and that's when he's ineffective. Easier said than done when he's protected by Vidal & Marchisio though.. Oh and another point is that their strikers are all average
  17. Not really depending on your wingers, if they work hard n track back like italy in euro then it'd be basically like 5-3-2 when defending n back to 3-5-2 in attack. Either way the midfield is always going to be congested. But honestly don't think the team we'll be fielding on Wednesday will be like didierforever said. There's no point playing the same formation as Juve just to beef up our midfield, when some of those players haven't played a match for us this season
  18. Can't blame the guy he's trying to set his bar. Although we probably have to accept that he's not got the speed like the times at Liverpool, I believe when hit form he's gonna get us +20 goals a season (that's if he doesnt get injured..*fingers crossed* we only have torres & sturridge and please don't make us rely on sturridge)
  19. Lampard's still gonna play at the highest level for another 3-4 years, just like giggs @ MU. Lampard still got great vision @ although he doesn't make those runs in the box anymore, he's still great at distributing passes, connecting defence and attack. Could probably still make WC in Brazil while the likes of Gerrard will sit at home. Gerrard's game is more heavily reliant on his fitness, just watched the last game they lost to Arsenal, when he couldn't run --> passing was sheit, 1st one led to a goal.
  20. We've already spent so much on transfers this season so I think as much as any of us would like to see Torres + Falcao, it's not gonna be possible...
