@The Skipper, my problem is not people preferring Mata over Oscar or anything similar. My problem is people blaming all our problems in Mata not playing. First that it is an absurd, because our main issues lie on te pivot and wings and not on a Oscar vs Mata thing. Second that the dig Mourinho is getting is atrocious. And third because we are acting like Real Madrid fans... You might have gotten the idea I was implying you were doing it, but I wasnt. Just read some of the things people posted in this thread after the lineup and you will understand what I am coming from! P.S: Sorry if I came out too agressive!

This is one complete bullshit! Hazard had the best time of his carrer without Mata, pleeease. Chelsea is playing horrible, it is embarassing. But just because Juan is on the bench, people start overreacting and thinking Mata would solve our problems. But the truth is he would look as lost as te entire team, if not worse. Oscar is playing very well for someone who has pratically no help, no I dont understand all this fuss about Mata not playing. What we have to improve is in other areas (pivot, wings, etc) and not where Oscar is playing. All of you look like Real fans blaming Lopez for all their issues and bad results! PATHETIC!

I know what your point was, but people are stupid to focus our problems in a Mata x Oscar debate. This is the only position we dont have gaps and all people can do is argue about it. We should just be thankful we have two amazing players to play that role and mourinho can only choose one. If his decision is by Oscar, tan people have to swallow it and move on! If everything else in our team was in order and we were still losing games because Oscar wasnt being able to handle the job, I would completely understand the fuss about Mata not playing. However, the scenario is exactly the opposite. People should be making 'Who are te best wingers', 'Do we need a CM/DM' and/or 'What is our best CB pairing' tread and not 'Who is our best #10'. Because our problems lies elsewhere and not at making Mata FC happy...

That is not true at all. Mata is definitely a better attacking player than Oscar, but it is not night and day, not in the slightest! If you cant think of one attribute Oscar is better, that just proves how clueless you are about him and how much you are overrating the Spaniard. Oscar is a much, much better organizer than Juan, the involves other players way more than Mata (who keeps the ball a lot in his feet) and he has a incredibely better close range shot (Mata lost a fucking huge amount of easy goals the past season). Mata plays well when we have possession, but when we dont, he is a fucking horrible player. AVB and Benitez wanted us to keep the ball for a long time, so he was obviously our best player. However, that is not how Mourinho wants to play, so Mata is not the answer. Jose wants to emulate what he did with Ozil in Madrid and, although Oscar is still far way from the German, he is the closest thing we have. Mata is also very inconsistent, he has long steakes of brilliance and long streaks of bad games. Mourinho doesnt want his CAM to have those ups and downs. Jose prefers Oscar playing at a 7-8 all games than Mata being the wizzard that he is at times but horrible (as in the Confederations Cup and UCL 2012 Semis and Final) at others. There is no doubt Mata is the better overall attacking player, but there is also no doubt Oscar is the best for the team!
