I agree with your criticism towards Pellegrini, but to say Mancini would have done a better job is untrue...The Chilean is playing at a high risk with the approach he is taking at ManCity, but that goes both ways, it can be a hit or a miss. But when they do hit the sweetspot, they look incredible. The thing is Pellegrini is trying to implement a very offensive team in a new league, so that obviously takes a lot of adjustment time. The Italian might not have been trashed by Bayern or any other team, but he wouldnt have steamrolled United also (talking about last year). He was doing a great job until he decided to change the system and focus on defence abd midfield, acting somewhat like a coward. Being more caution, Mancini avoided both ends, but that doesnt mean he was doing a good job (not in the slightest). Roberto in 2012 is a much worse manager than Manuel is right now. They have very different mentalities, but Mancini was completely losing it last year. City were drawing and looking very bad, but now they have looked very good (although they seem to play until 1-0 and then stop).

1) No one is arguying Mata isnt a better offensive player, but that Oscar is a better option for the team. You keep missing the point!2) Stop posting manipulated and meaningless stats. Oscar was in his first season in Europe and playing as a winger, while Mata was the main man of Rafael Benitez. 3) It is quite clear that Schurrle-Oscar-Mata are the best trio we cab play right now, so I dont think this thread is useful anymore.

It is not the main reason though, it is just something that is very flagarant...Mata is a better player overall, but Oscar centrally is able to make the team play better! Oscar allows players like Lampard and Rambo to go foward and the wingers to have more freedom, all due to his amazing defensive skills and stamina. However, he also involves our attacking players way more than Mata does because he plays without the ball on his feet. And that is not counting the fact Oscar's passes are up there with Mata's and so are his long range shots. The only major downgrade we would have with Oscar as a #10 is the flair and dribbling. But Jose doesnt really need his CAM to be someone who attacks the defenders because he will have his wingers doing it for him. So this wouldnt be too much of an issue. For me (and even Mourinho), its not even a question who must play behind te striker. Oscar gives a balance to the midfield Mata simply doesnt (both on attack and defence)... EDIT: That doesnt mean I dont think Mata shouldnt play. He should, just not as a CAM.

Yes, he would totally be able to be our main man in the pivot and still allow Chalobah to develop! We dont even have to think twice if he really is thinking of transfering himself...

We are capable of winning both Schalke fixtures and the other Steaua game we have at home. Also, I believe Steaua can at least draw one against Basel. So I wouldnt be too worried...

A four, really? He was ok in the first half, not good and not bad. (which that alone would be worth a 5 or 6) But in the second half he was very, very good. He assisted for Ramires, had quite an amazing back-heel for Mata to score (but he unfortunatelly hit the post), opened up a lot of plays with intelligent passes and inversions and he also defended really well to allow other players some freedom in the attack. The problem people have with Oscar is that he isnt flashy, so you all decide to overlook the great things he does. Not that he had an amazing performance, but to take away his credits and give him a 4/10 is absolutely insulting!!!
