  1. Italian clubs usually play with 3 defenders, it has worked for the past 100 years. Juve doesnt really have wingers (as we imagine in EPL), they arent as free. I believe central midfield will be crucial to the game, whoever controls it wins. Vidal and Marchisio are box to box and Pirlo is a maestro. Our double pivot will have to work, but I sincerely think RDM will have the answer.
  2. You are correct, Spain has a 24% tax for whoever earns more than €600k/year. From 2013, it il be atrocius 45%.
  3. FFP has an article saying that an european club can not be suspended if their financial status is improving, even if they fail to record losses lower than €45m (valid until 2015 or 2017, dont remember). So you can expect a lot of clubs spending this and the next year to fit in this particular rule for future seasons... There is always a breach!
  4. They all have their mistakes, egos are a huge Pep problem. However he is a better coach, my opinion though.
  5. 1- We are talking about 6 looong years. 2- I dont even think of Zenit, if so, I would think Ligue 1 would be on top because of PSG. 3- Italy, France and Portugal economies arent in their best days. 4- There are teams spending in talents and Anzhi and Zenit spending big. 5- A great league isnt only made of big clubs, maybe a very leveled league is more enternaining. 6- WC always help with sponsors and TV. 7- They have a lot billionaires, know one? 8- Great location for Asia and Middle East market (time zone). 9- Like Spain, the polititians are very linked with the clubs, so federal and state funding might occur someday (Example, Madrid bought the Bernabeu and donated back to RM, so they in practice got money for free) Thats all I can think of, but that is just a gut, I might be immensely wrong. EDIT: Btw, Russia is ranked 7th.
  6. Scolari teams play bad football, but they win, he is a results manager. He does not like big egos either, when he has the chairman's confidence to back him up, the players go away. Roman likes beutiful football (like me), results come after that. He also has a very close relation with guys like Drogba and Ballack. It was never going to work and he is not of my personal preference also. Felipao (Big Phill) is stil a great coach by the results. He makes everyone in his team to belive they are world class and give their heart. One of the best motivadors in brazilian football. Cant argue with his carrer succes either... 2 Libertadores (SA CL) with 2 different teams, 1 Brazileirao, 2 Copas do Brazil (Brazilian FA CUP, one in this year), 2002 World Cup and a shameful defeat at Euro 2004. In the end, Chelsea is better with the likes of Mourinho, Ancelotti and Pep.
  7. I'm sure the club did the math and decided it was cheaper to pay him at his last year of contract then to release him.
  8. I know this is way out of topic, but I wish to make one last post. Atletico is Corinthians with a super star. Its like Chelsea with Hazard and whitout Hazard...not quite in the same level! Agreed, but do some research on how they improved, innumerous tragedies. Will it take that for us to imrpove? Cant we learn from the best before anything worse occur? Right now, I dont see much progress for the near future, unless people get tired of being rapped and start a revolution, do you? Again, sorry folks for the out of topic conversation....
  9. Yes, they cant get close to bundesliga, la liga and epl, but they can be the 4th force. I can really see that happening.
  10. I was being immensily ironic. I think the teams (as in players that play the league) are getting better, but in every other way is not improving at all. Globo is a f* monopoly, popular clubs ruled by thievs, no proper calendar, empty stadiums, violent fans, horrible field condition, etc, etc, etc. I dont think Corinthians can easily win Chelsea IMO. Anyone can win a football game, but it will definitely be a upset. Sure Russia is doing a great job with its league, it was more of a joke about our country and its treatment on football...
  11. Just like the Brazilian will get better?
  12. If your team is made of oompa loompas, it might be possible
  13. Its so hypocrite of you, football is just like every other profession. People can go to a smaller and lesser known company to have a hgher role and payment, why cant footballers do the same? A lot of us would do the same....
  14. What is the pourpose of a £1b buyout clause, why just not make a buyout clause?
  15. That prooves that you follow him very closely, he does not drink, he doesnt like it. He goes to nightclubs everyweek, thwors private barbecues and all that. no drinking though. He will just shut you up...thats all
  16. Have no arguments but just one example that fits this criteria: Jose Mourinho. Is he a failure? Wait until Neymar is 25 and shut everybody up! Just because he is not in the spotlight, people think he stopped playing well...
  17. Porto and Benfica are the best at spotting future stars and selling big! Porto: Falcao, Hulk, Moutinho (happening next year at most), Deco, Bosingwa, etc. Benfica: Luiz, Ramires, Di Maria, Javi, Witsel, etc
  18. I agree he is not in his best days, but thats no way to treat a legend...
  19. Hope it is true, never wanted him here. Lets spend on something better (aka Falcao, Neymar).
  20. True, he will be a free agent... But I'm skeptical, I think he will renew just to make clubs pay. He swears he wont, he will go free and choose the club that suits him better.
  21. No, you dont understand...R$3m = just behind £1m (550k from wages). Everyone knows its absurd, but he is the closest thing to a God for fans (imagine if he wins the WC)! When the whole blasphemous Neymar saga occured (last year I guess), he had a buyout clause of €45m. RM and Chelsea agreed to pay it and he tryed to sell himself for the higher wages. Then the media came in the story sayingthat if he went to Europe he could loose his form, wouldnt play as much, etc. It would make him unprepared for WC (you guys have no f* idea how this WC is making everyone sick, obssesed, I'm scared) and bla bla bla. Thats when Santos came in and offered him stragering wages and help on sponsors. They topped both Chelsea and RM (actually the are sources that Chelsea's offer was a little better than 550k). After much pressure and unprofessionalism by all parts involved he decided to stay. That is why his novel was so involved with all kinds of rummor. European media does not have acess to Brazillian Clubs, so they rewrite what sports papers put on Brazil (and some of them are worst than Goal and Sun). It was day after day: Neymar to RM, Chelsea accepts fee, Santos top offer, Neymar back in touch with RM/Chelsea, etc. Since this episode, he got much better as a footballer and as a personal. He stil dives and is weak, but an amazingly special talent. A one in a generation... P.S.: Now he has a R$9m 3floor penthhouse, a R$15m yatch, a porsche panamera, audi r8 and a minicooper. Enough?
  22. I can 100% guarantee he makes that much money...He makes R$3m/month in Brazil (Forbes, dont make me dig the internet for the file ), about half from wages and half from sponsors. Clearly we wont do it, I'm comparing to Ronaldo....
  23. Neymar will be easily bought for 50m. The fact is he made clear he will only go after the 2014WC. His wages are £550k/month at the moment. Sure its a lot o money, but you could bring Falcao as well and its stil cheaper.
