  1. That is true, MAZACAR play a lot more centralized. That is just our style right now though... Like I said with Toronto: Mikel and Oscar + Moses, Mata and Hazard gives us a better balance.
  2. Thanks, since I am on class I wasnt able to see RDM interview. Did he give any hint on what the team is going to be?
  3. Is it only Cole and Mata (as if it wasnt enough) or there is someone else?
  4. ? That is basically what I have argued... Toronto said we cant cross because we dont have wingers, that is bullshit. Our trio of CAM can cross 10 times per game (+ corners and fouls). I just belive they dont do it because they dont trust Torres and once we get a decent striker they will cross more. As I said on my very first phrase, we are a technical and passing team, not a crossing one. EDIT: This is my last post about air balls. Lets get back on topic!
  6. We play as a passing and technical team, this leaves a small percentage of possessions for crosses. 10-15 crosses + corners + fouls = 20-25 air balls total. That is more than enough, since crossing is not our primarily weapon. You can look it up, 30-40 crosses per game is a really unbalanced team. A team without technique, that merely relly on high balls. RM and Bayern are the most balnced teams today, as you said, RM (and Bayern) use a mix of types of plays. Chelsea will to, so 10-15 crosses are more than enough. Also, I dont have any stat to pove it (and I might be wrong), but I bet the teams that crosses the most are the ones in the bottom of the table. Players usually cross a lot at the end of the game when losing and when they cant infiltrate the opposition's defense. EDIT: Lets not spam Cavani's threat anymore.
  7. Henrique, you have some serious problems. I will try to explain in portuguese... I am not saying your argument isnt right, but it has nothing to do with what I said.
  8. WTF? HOW MANY CROSSES DO YOU WANT US TO TAKE? No they dont cross because there aint nobody to cross to. They will go wide once there is a decent header inside the box. We do not need to cross the ball 20-30 times a game. 10-15 crosses are more than enough, look at RM and Bayern air ball stats....
  9. You, Peace and xPetrCechx clearly missunderstood. I said he can turn out to be amzing if he stays for 4-5 years. What does it have to do with what you said?
  10. 1. Agrred. Who will buy Torres though? 2. I would say so, if it were 2 years ago. I think Roman has changed his mentality. 3. I would, because he would learn with Cech, but I am not sure this is the best idea. 4. Cole wont saty for 1 year, I believe RDM will make Chelsea extedn for 2 years. I dont see a future for SF unfortunately. 5. LOL, why me of all people? It is not like I am his biggest fan. I just think he does a great job alongside with Mikel and since we have a passing trio, his problems arent so important...
  11. Oscar, Hazard, Mata, Marin and KDB (maybe) are CAM. Moses is the only winger you mentioned...
  12. Well, I cant see RDM changing formation, so I see a very probable squad for next year... Cech, Courtois Iva, Azi Terry, Cahil, Luiz, Chabollah (Bruma). Milel, Romeu Oscar, Josh, KDB Hazard, Mata, Moses, Marin Falcao (Cavani), Torres I believe Cole will stay, we will integrate our youngsters more (Chabollah, KDB, Josh, etc), Lampard will leave and Sturridge will be sold. If I were to be really picky, we need a ST, CB and Winger. However, I think only a striker will do...
  13. We have already talked about the double pivot role, so I wont go there. I respect you and agree with some of your points... Let me try to understand, do you see our team like this: Cech, Iva, Terry, Cahil (Luiz), Cole - Oscar, Mikel - Moses, Mata, Hazard - Striker ? If it is not, how do you view it and what do you think we need? Thanks
  14. Not true at all... They dont cross because they dont see a reason. Hazard, Mata and Oscar can go deep sometimes (even with their central roles) to cross to a good striker. In football games, players can adapt to different situations even if they are not primarily supposed to do so. They only need to make 10-15 air balls at the most, it is not like we will turn into an only cross team (that would need wongers and full backs).
  15. We do not need a CM. We have Romeu and Mikel as DM. Ramires, Josh and Lampard as CM (Oscar can play there either). We also have KDB and Marin, which I personally dont see space right now... Do you want another one?
  16. I really think Pep is one of the finest coaches out there. It would be huge if we get him. However, I believe RDM can do an amazing job if he stays for 4-5 years. I like everything about him; knowledge, serenity, player management, etc. Di Matteo lacks experience and we never expereinced him under huge pressure, but that will eventually come. I personally agree with what my professor once said: we should never change things if we arent 100% sure it will be better than what we have (I took it completely out of contest, but it works). So, right now, I think RDM is a better option. Though call though...
  17. I personally think he had a good game, has definetly shown more ball control and created some chances. He still gotta improve 110% though...
  18. I`M SO SORRY. I hope he has died in a peaceful way...
  19. @TorontoChelsea, you are seeing the players as unadaptable and you are being one dimensional. I agree with all your complements on Cavani, but I think you are underestimating Falcao`s ability. If you look at his playing style on Porto, it was very similar to what we need and what we had with Drogba (when he was young and had a better mobility). He can pass, create space to our attacking trio and he is a big threat insede the box (a fear that Torres does not provide). In Atletico, he changed his way to fit Diego Simeone`s team (which does suits him better). I am sure he can understtand what RDM wants and do it just right though (he`s got the talent to do so). He wont get as many chances, but we dont need him to score 40 goals. If we have a striker that scores 25-30 goals we are more than fine. Atletico has pretty much only Falcao to rely on, we have got way more than him. Once you buy a 40-50mi players, you are expected to make some adjustments to suit him better. Have said that, it is not like we will change our style completely; but we will cross a bit more, etc. We see our squad as a strikeless tactical team because we dont have one, so we dont use those types of play. With a ddecent striker, MAZACAR will be more than able to fit them in. So as I said, the attacking end of the field does not worry me. However, Cavani`s defensive role impresses me. Falcao on the other hand...Cavani is 3 years younger also... In the end, Cavani has the edge. I said it is a win win situation because we will never be able to prove our point of view. If Cavani comes, it will work. If Falcao comes, I also think it will work. Of course you can make the argument that if it were to be Cavani he could have created 10 more goals and provided more defensive stability than Falcao, but we would be so happy that we would not even care (vice-versa). The final case is, they will both be such an upgrade that we will drastically improve with either one.
  20. Why all the fuss on Cavani all of a sudden? I thought he had the same gentlemen agreement Napoli had with Lavezzi. 2 years ago Lavezzi promissed to stay one more year, last summer Cavani did the same... People keep comparing Cavani with Falcao. For me, it is a win win situation...Whoever we choose.
  21. Voted for Milan.Cech, I love his funny gifs. Toronto a very close second though.
  22. I agree, few points though... 1. Atletico bought Falcao for 40mi EUROS, the buyout clause is 47mi POUNDS. That is the price we would have eventually to pay. 2. Buy-out clause, Atletico cant do anything. Onyl if Falcao promisses to stay. 3. UEFA is pressuring Atletico saying it will block any tournament prizes it receives if they dont sort their finances. 4. Radamel would make lot more money and would play on KO of UCL. 4. Falcao has the final decision. Probably the only option to AM is to convince him to stay. 5. As you can see, Atletico is in a delicade situation, they dont have much bargain since his contrat is low and would have to rely on his word. EDIT: I dont know why I posted in Cavani threat, can someone move it to Falcao?
  23. NO FALCAO IF THIS IS GOING TO BE THE DEAL. I much prefer 47mi. We could adapt Courtois for his future role, Torres would fight for position and we would have to unfortunatelly sell Sturridge.
