  1. Because we have the worst football federation in the universe. Seriously, we will end up with Scolari or Tite. There goes our dream of having our sixth champion...
  2. Alright, he does treat Chelsea like his toy. However, you can treat carefully your toy and have passion to it (just like a kid does). His son has clearly shown it... Besides the atrocious way he sacked Wilkins (Carlo has even mentioned it in his biography), I dont think he has done anything really wrong. All the manager firing has proved to be right, except Mourinho and Carlo. With RDM there were a lot of emotions and you saw how I was reacting but after reading some very interesting articles, he was training the team pretty poorly. Maybe Roman saw what happen last year and there is CWC ahead so he decided to change before it gets worse (I personally think it would get better though). We also dont know what the agreement between them was like. I personally dont think he disrespect us. He just does things his way without asking our opinion in any matter, just like a manager does not attend the fans wishes (remember Di Matteo`s defensive wingers?). Sometimes they get it right and make us happy and sometimes they dont. He is a shit person as far as I am concern, but that is private of him. We are not his friends or anything... He helped Chelsea in many ways, not just by winning trophies. His legacy is way beyond that: stadium renovation, museum, store, marketing, fans (real or plastic), etc. I think some people get mad at him because he control things very personally, but when you invest that kind of money it is understandable. Someother owner can easily come, not invest in the club and still be authoritarian. Sometimes I think our fans are asking participation in aspects that no one in the world has, in any kind of institution. What do you think he should do to gain your trust? Do you feel the Board needs to do meetings with the fans, etc? EDIT: I really cant see people hating him so much. It is pissing me off, it really is bothering me (not the hate, my unability to understand).
  3. @zolayes, I am having a really hard time trying to understand why this Abramovich hate has grown so strong in you lately. Care to explain? PS: It is not a joke of any kind, you know the club way better than I do, I just want you to open my eyes on some issues I might be missing. Thank you!
  4. Kez, I cant tell how fustrating this is. I know your feeling... The man I bought the tickets for Munich from was not a real CFC fan, he just wanted to make good money. I got so depressed to give money to him, but there was no other way. That is not Roman`s fault though, he never asked those fans. They come when the team is doing great just to show off. That is one of the prices of success and it explains some the expensive seats lack of passion and voice.
  5. @Fulham Broadway, OMG I CANT STOP LAFFING!!!
  6. I agree with most parts but I think everyone is acting too emotional lately. We can feel angry or happy but when judging anyone we must use our head, not heart. Wilkins was treated very wrongly. However, we cant claim RDM was treated the same way. We dont know what talks they had before the season, what if Roman said RDM would get the job but would still have to prove himself? Di Matteo would know a bad sequence would cost him the job. That being said, it does not take the fact it was an insane move (specially because he did not get who he wanted), not mistreating though. The Russian Czar is not trying to win your heart or gain the passion of the fans. He wants to spend money and create a fabulous team to call his. As long as it benefits him and Chelsea, everyone is happy. Once it does not benefit one of the sides, we will tear apart. That time hasnt come yet! In a strange way, Roman respect the fans more than many owners. He has some authority problems, but it is worth it. He does respect the fans more than everyone is making. We need more stability and professionalism in the club, but Abramovich will get there. Wait a little bit more...
  7. It struck everyone by surprise, it was way worse than RDM. The media is expeculating Scolari, Muricy or Pep. not looking good for us.
  8. True, I am more realistic though. The big changes and philosophy wont happen so I want the small one at least... There are ways to transform football in a transparent and healthy business. American institutions does it for decades. I am not crazy expecting it can be done anywhere but I am sure it can be done in England. Some leagues (NFL and NBA) have an insurmountable budget for clubs, but I dont like that. I prefer MLB, it has a budget for players and staff wages but it is called a soft budget, if the team wants to spend more than the limit they have to pay the same amount that exceeds in taxes to be divided equaly to the res of the league. For instance, FA decides that no club can spend more than 150mi/season and Chelsea has a 169mi payroll, it has to pay 19mi on taxes or 1mi for each club in the EPL. Since American franchises dont spend money on trasnfers (it just dont exist), they dont have a budget for it. In that case FA would have to create both a transfer limit for the amount of players and money. Lastly, it would have to allow some financial loss (so teams can invest in future growth). The rules on FFP first years would work amazingly well with a budget system. This would still benefit the big clubs, but it would also leave space for the small clubs to get a share of the fun. Since teams wont be able to get 30 high price players, some small team could grasp one of them. West Ham would have money to keep Tevez, Wigan to keep Moses, etc. Also, since the Boards wont have such freedom, the fans end up being more involved (clearly felt in the USA). Again, this is only possible in places like German and England because it already has a very well profit divison system and a decent and powerful federation. It still has the capitalism gene and owners and players making money, but at least it is healthy and more balanced.
  9. @Fulham Broadway, the whole is way deeper than you have described. I wont describe every wrong way of managering a club becasue it would become a book, but the problem is not this new type of quick burning money success (PSG, ManCity, Chelsea), it is that nobody in the world has found a healthy way of running a football club. You could argue that the German`s Clubs do it right and that Barcelona do it too but I would disagree. The Germans got their finances straight but that does not mean it is completely fair, clubs like BVB and Bayern Munich have more than double of the income of half of Bundesliga, creating a huge gap between the teams. Just like FFP, it prevents craziness but also prevents investments. Barcelona is ruled by the fans and it hasnt helped much. La Masia produces some real good talents but it is not a factory and you cant control when it is going to flurish (90s for instance). They are in some serious finance problems as well. Their president had to sell the jersey for the first time in 100 years and they cancelled their plan to cover the Camp Nou, so it is not all flowers. It is not a matter of choosing between money and authoritarism or the fans. The whole football concept is wrong. There are not enough rules and consequences to it... The only way I can see going foward is something very similar to the MLB.
  10. I think they were waiting for some bombastic media story so no one pays attantion to them...
  11. I 100% agree with your post. Everything is just a cycle though, we did some big mistakes and we are getting the consequence of it (unbalanced squad, media bashing, Benitez, etc). Remember when RM was buying all the wrong players at the begining of 2010 and when Mourinho was always losing composure at Barça games? Look at them now: great squad, manager, trophies, CR7, etc. You can make the same case for Bayern in their transition from 2001 to 2009 and with Barcelona from 1995 to 2004. It happens with almost all the teams. We had a excellent period with Mourinho and it only survived the terrible moves because it was a fucking talented team. It had their last hurrah with Carlo and RDM and now it is a rebuild period. We let our squad get old without rejuvenating it and now with are on construction mode. It will take some time but I am sure Roman and the Board have learnt somethings with those mistakes. I think it is ok to criticize Abramovich. Now, I dont agree people are right wanting him out.
  12. Well, if he only gets into the refs` head, that would be enough for me... He made Benitez (and other coaches) busy with him and not with their team. That is geting into their heads and he did it more than a few times. Also, if the media start asking questions about him in the press conference, he already got what he wanted (distraction).
  13. Impolite? Mate, this is not a debate club. It is wrong, it is football, sorry! I hate SAF more than anything, but he does one of he finest job of protecting Manure and getting into the opposition`s head.
  14. NoddytheAdlingtonBlue- Difficult to argue with being top of the league. I think we will improve if Mancini ever decides what his best XI is and plays them together regularly LOL
  15. @Muzchap, only with you believe Sturridge AND Torres will be leaving in January. I honestly dont think so, I think Sturridge will go and Torres will stay (Benitez of all people getting rid of him?). With that in mind, we will buy a ST and someone else in someother position Rafa thinks it is necessary. I agree we are going to see a very busy transfer window though.
  16. LET THE GAMES BEGIN... Alright, I will surely be banned after this but, am I the only one who thinks he is right talking about RDM undeservingly losing his chance to win CWC?
  17. Is he entering somekind of boat? Anyways, congratulations Donni. Thank you so much for the sig! :blue scalf: KTBFFH :blue scalf:
  18. @Muzchap, we all know Roaman is a bit crazy (ok, very crazy). I am pretty sure someone leaked his list and those 3 players are in some order of preference. It is like this with every position we need. We want a RB/RW/CAM/Whatever, when the press gets any information, it is always that we are going to buy the 5 best players out there at the same time. It ends up being one of the options...
  19. @TorontoChelsea, you do realise he wont do it and this is just so we have fun, dont you? It is not easy to transform a historical average team into one of the biggest on Earth in less than one decade. It does not only take a lot of money but a lot of time and learning. Roman is already being more careful with the money he spends and he is keen in finding the most desirable long term manager and helthy finances. This:
  20. I liked it, I just dont believe Rambo and Luiz are worthy of a dream team lineup. Subs though... This is what I dream of:
  21. I DREAM THE DAY I HEAR MY GRANDSON TALKING ABOUT HOW HE WANTS HIS TEAM TO PLAY LIKE CHELSEA ONCE DID! FUCK BARCELONA! I get very angry when people say we need to play like Barça. There are many ways to play great football without imitating the cunts. I dont want us playing with a flase #9, either because we already are and because I am more traditional. Brazil (70/82), Santos (60s), RM (60s), Ajax (70s), Flamengo (80s), Milan (90s), Palmeiras (96) and Chelsea (05-09) all made quite an impact and will be rembered without in any way conecting with Barcelona. I want a quick, compact, lethal and creative team, not some passing bullshit without a proper finisher. I want a team that we can all relate to EPL and Chelsea. Imagine a good manager putting together the likes of Hummels, JT, Cole, Vidal/De Rossi, Oscar, Hazard, Mata and Falcao/Cavani and transforming them into legend. It will stay on forever and we wouldnt have to listen to "Chelsea vs Barcelona" comparisons. Yes, I want us to have the same historical reputation Pep Guardiola`s side have. I only want it to be our identidy, not someone else`s.
  22. Alright, I would be lying saying I didnt go nuts when reading the article. However, we would fucking implode. 5 STRIKERS??? I want a CB (Hummels), DM (Vidal, De Rossi, Busquets), ST (Falcao, Cavani) and an All Around Attacker (Jovetic, James). Nothing more than that because we also need to integrate our youngsters. I also want Luiz and Torres out.
