If we draw against Utd and win against Villa and Spuds, we wont even have to bother with Everton!

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Last_Ringbearer I will tell you once I finish, so many spoilers I am tempted to tell you, but I will only judge the final product.

Here is something I never thought about. Great observation mate! Our pitchs are indeed huge. Maracanã was 113m x 75m and so was many other pitchs. With the WC 2014, it is all being reduced to 105m x 68m, which is what FIFA recomends. This does change the style of play, position and first touch more than one can imagine!

To be fair, Webb did a good job the last time we played Manure...
-
I hope we dont win the Supercup without winning the Europa League though!

I would love to live in a city of 500k or so. I am a bit tired of all the cars, tall buildings, noise, crowd, lines everywhere, etc...I do enjoy the big city, specially the nightlife. It is amazing what you can find, nothing ever sleeps and there are all sorts of things to all sorts of taste. I just think I have had enough. I am past the time I would go out on Friday and go back home on Sunday after doing all sorts of crazy things. I currently want a more quiet life and a smaller city would provide me that! I would still miss the big events though. Like, music festivals or sports tournaments. But that isnt a big deal. Also, my family has a house in a small beach city close by, which is our little place to party and have fun. But overall I guess I am ready to move on! It is not like I wont return, it is just that I dont want to live it full time in this gigantic city that is Sao Paulo... EDIT: But you are totally right, the level of perspective is absurdly different. My friends that decided to move to small cities to study tell me how different it all is!

8-9 points, being 3 from Spurs is enough to secure top4!Beat Aston Villa and Tottenham and draw both or win at least one from Manure and Everton, that we finish in third place!
-
You dont like the city or the country?
-
You guys live in Villages, there are more people living in my street!
-
What? That is unthinkable for me! I live in Sao Paulo, which has 11.8 million people. Only my high school had 3 thousand students, half your whole town population... USP has about 127k students, which is almost all Pr22's entire city... I cant grasp both of your realities!
-
Shit, I didnt know that. FUCK IT! Thanks for the info...
-
They are a total joke of a Newspaper, but I am ready to jump at any bandwagon when it comes to Moutinho!
-
Modric and Varane... Xabi Alonso is old, Di Maria can be replaced with Sanchez or Schurrle and Higuain/Benzema are worse than Falcao!
-
In what University do you go to in Canada? Niiice, I always wanted to know how it feels to be in a small student town, must be great to party! :eyebrows:
-
Yeah, I guess you could say that!

They are alright, shit if compared to American or European Universities (even top Asian ones). Also, those are the cool ones. If I showed you the humanities building (Philosophy, History, Geography, Psychology, etc), you would cringe. As it was to be expected, Engineering, Law and Medical Schools all receive an enormous amount of money from both the government and donations. The rest has to live with a very tight budget. For instance, the Mechanical and Naval Engineering building is worth 5x times more than all the other buildings in the humanities department. One of the labs was donated by Bill Gates! EDIT: The Architecture building is by far the best one, but it is being redone, so all the photos I tried to find are computer simulations, arrgggh. EDIT 2: USP is a public university, so students dont have to pay tuitions. All the money comes from the taxes and donations...

Cool, would you still have classes there if you move to Architecture?
-
Awesome, do you study in that dark glass building? P.S: I will post mine (well, not exactly anymore) on Thursday!

Well, if we indeed finish 5th (which seems unlikely now), UEL will be less important than League Cup. Meaning most of the times we will play a mixed lineup. You cant really compare the level of focus we would be giving to UEL in comparison with UCL. The players would be thinking 100% of the time about the league... The fact we have to improve 20+ points is the exact reason I am against the notion we don't need to be active on the transfer window. I don't believe our loaned players will all of a sudden lift us up to the point we would be making 85-90 points/season. However, like I said, with Mourinho and a couple of more players, we can very well get there. This season is a bellow average one, our current team is capable of more than 65 points. If Chelsea didnt have such a troubled and full season, we would not be that far apart from the Manchester teams. Things will take its natural course next season, the gap wont be so big. Anyways, all I am saying is that with UCL or not, we can push for next year's title. Also, we need to be active on the transfer window, no more dreaming that some 18 yo players will save our asses... I dont think it is such an utopic scenario to picture us buying a few important players, signing Mourinho and chanting "We Are The Champions" in May 2014. EDIT: I reeeeaaaallly like debating with you!

Welcome! :blue scalf:

I see where you are coming from, but when you say that Thursday nights are meaningless (specially if we win UEL this year already), dont you think that you are exactly making my point? (that we will be super focused in EPL and that might be threatening to SAF?) For instance...Suppose that we can't get the players you are suggesting, we would still be able to recall some loanees (Chalobah, KDB and Lukaku) and buy lesser known names (Benat, Garay, Schurrle, etc). This would already be a very good improvement from what we currently have and I am not even touching the fact Ba, Hazard and Oscar will be much better next year. Add to all of this a top manager as Mourinho, with no UCL to worry about, and we might just be able to win the title again. The Only Place To Be wants us to only buy Schurrle and rely on unexperienced promisses such as Chalobah and Lukaku to go onto a full season, which I personally disagree (I dont think we can reach 80+ points with this). However, if we add to that some other players (a big time transfer would be amazing, but even if that doesnt happen, there are enough low cost players that can help), we could very well fight head-to-head with the Manchester teams.Dont get me wrong, I am against the notion that no UCL football will be benefical (I have discussed this over and over already), but I am also against the notion we wont be able to attract big players and we wouldnt be able to fight for nexts year's title because of it. Also, I dont even have to touch the fucking Liverpool and Arsenal comparisons, just like you said! P.S: Relax, I have them sometimes!

Again, not saying he should not be criticized nor that he had a decent first 30 min (just read the locked game thread and see me complaining). This was a message for the absurd overreactions we had during the game, like people saying he was the new Kalou!
-
Will we need to finish third to qualify for the UCL?
Rmpr replied to oxfordblues's topic in Matthew Harding Stand
Wow, we are almost 18k points ahead of Serie A. Tell me about an overreaction! -
I want Lampard to score so he can equalize the record in Stamford Bridge!
