LMAO, I LOVE YOU TOM!
-
I agree with all you both said! I just think Mou will want to buy a young CB (Mangala, maybe) on top of a ST, RW and DM. I also think he will leave a LB and CM for next season, when Lampard/Cole/Terry will be probably gone.
-
But he failed in Madrid!
-
He is having a big 3-day training group where he is even having sleepovers. Very busy with work!

'The man', an already good start! However, Mourinho didn't want to lose Ibrahimovic, there are interviews of him saying that. It just happens you dont turn down 45mi euros + Eto'o for a player who wants to go out... Another point is that nobody here is defending him wanting another one for Mata's position. For instance, I would bow down to Mourinho coming to the conclusion Oscar is best suited for the starting. I obviously dont know more football than him. Nevertheless, I havent read one single reasonable and intelligent argument on pro of Jose selling Juan. If you analyze the situation, there isnt one single case where selling Mata will be benefical to the club. First of all, it will strength European rivals. Second of all, Mata is a hell of a character, is cheap, is good and loves Chelsea. And lastly, there isnt anyone in the market who would add to the squad more than having Mata as a second option in the team depth...
-
Changing your mind is not necessarily a bad thing, depending on the situation is a great sign of good character. However, changing it over and over again and not being consistent with your previous arguments and opinions is indeed a bad thing. You are lucky I am not like Manpe and James, who search for previous post so everyone can see it, but in three iconic situations you kept changing your mind back and forth. The first was Oscar not being better than Coutinho, but now he has a higher celling than Juan Mata. The second was Mourinho coming or not, you have been certain he would come and then he wouldnt and in the end, he did. Adn the third was Falcao's admiration and quality or whatever, once you had an avatar of him and in the end he wasn't good enough for Chelsea... Anyways, point made, agree or disagree with it. This is not the place to have this pitty argument, so PM me if you want to continue. However, if you want to discuss Jose Mourinho selling Mata (#10) and give arguments to back your opinion, then I will civilized discuss it.

@Amels, is that a picture of your shoes? If so, are they from Quicksilver? One nice pair of shoes, whoever they belong to!

Welcome mate, I hope you enjoy it here! We have our fights (occasionally), but we are a lovely family (or so Stingray tells me)...

Never said Mata isnt manly enough, I said he looked girly in one single picture! Also, you have already reported me in the past, such a baby. I hope the Mods see my side and don't give me warning points, just like last time!

Chelsea are a top team now - but are these the best days?
Rmpr replied to Deanocfc's topic in Matthew Harding Stand
I can't answer as I only started following Chelsea after Roman came... However, I have lived the Palmeiras incredible success in the 90s and early 00s and after that we have been relegated twice from the shit Brazilian League. And I can tell you, the success is much, much, much better!!!! -

Really? -
All you can make of my arguments was that piece of crap? Everytime someone calls you hypocrite or says you contradict yourself, you come with this cheap argument that you can't grow unless you change. I guess that is what that random West Ham fan tells his friends when they prank him about that Harry Redknapp video about Frank Lampard! :lol2: Anyways, you are not intelligent enough to actually defend your view on Mourinho selling Mata, so I wont quote you anymore!
-
I have 8k posts, not even 100 of them are about you! And no, you didn't say that. You said that Coutinho has impressed you more than Oscar and gave two vague stats to try to prove it. Liking a post saying Oscar might be a Balloon D'or and that his celling is higher than Mata, totally contradicts your previous statement. Also, a quick walkthrough on Mata's thread and anyone can see you are the one who most overhype and love him. Then you post 'we' overrate Juan and you would understand Mourinho selling him? All of that because of what? You accept anything and everything Mourinho does? Mata is the best CAM in EPL and won two consecutive Chelsea's Player of the Year awards. There is absolutely no reason to sell him, even if Jose Mourinho decides he is not first team material (which is already stupid in itself), there is no logical reason to sell. If Mourinho sells him and buys Sneijder, he shouldn't get a pass just because he is The Special One. That would be the most idiotic transfer in our history (ok, maybe second). Mata gives us a lot and he is an excellent idol for kids, he enhances our brand and likability. Besides giving extreme quality to our midfield, of course. On top of that, he is not an expensive player to have in our squad and he is still young. You simply don't sell what, in the worst case scenario, will be a very good second option in your Attacking Midfield! Wesley Sneijder's transfer is only good for him, not for Chelsea. He is expensive, relatively old, past his prime and will not be so happy to be Oscar's substitute. Chelsea cant benefit more with him than with our little Spanish Wizard (yes, I do love Mata). On the other hand, Chelsea gives a gigantic media exposure and the possibility of trophies for the Holland international. If Mourinho honestly (which I very much doubt) articulates a deal for Juan to get out and Wesley to get in, this will be one of the most egoistical moves by Jose Mourinho... You have no formulated opinion, you follow the flow and completely change your points of view depending on what is trending. Ridiculous!
-
I agree with all of that, I jut dont see where selling Mata enters in this equation. If Mourinho likes Oscar and thinks he will become the better player, then bench Mata (who has an immense character and isnt even expensive) ffs! Who will he buy to replace Mata (because we would still need a substitute CAM)? Wesley Sneijder? C'MON, GIVE ME A BREAK! Funny that Leif liked your post though, because the last time I checked he said Coutinho is better than Oscar!
-
I wont lie that your posts trigged me to say what I did, but it wasnt really targeted at you or anyone in specific. National and Club football are two different things, if a player is impressive in both, than there is no debate (Pele, Sir Bob, Maradona, Zidane, Ronaldo, etc). But if one is only great in Club football, too bad for his country (and for his own rep as well)... All I am saying is the quality one shows when playing in his NT shoudnt be a factor when trying to buy someone!
-
When will people learn that National success doesnt translate to club success? Many big names havent done much for their countries, but it doesnt mean they arent top players. Example? Drogba, Messi, Ronaldinho, Rooney, Neymar, etc... One of them is Cavani, he just doesnt fit in Uruguay's style or formation or whatever. Nevertheless, that doesnt take away the fact he is a fantastic footballer and we should go after him!

This is why I hate little kids in the transfer window! -
Oh please, you would trade your own kind for a kid who looks like the dude on Glee?
-
Yeah, I get what you are saying, but I was indeed a bit fat tbh... Also, in that photo I wasnt 81kg, I was around 72kg (I guess), lmao! I will take a pic of my great athletic form and post here anytime soon, let me just finish my exams and I will have enough time to do so, lol!
-
Great signings for ManCity, they have fixed two of their most problematic positions and now (with the imminent sale of either Dzeko or Tevez), all they need is a top stiker! I would be really upset if Cavani ends up in Manchester and we dont sign any good target man... One thing that makes me happy is how much the Citizens still have to overpay. Both Navas and Fernandinho will be on ridiculously high wages, bar the few they already are paying.
-
Hahaha, thanks mate, but 81kg for a 173cm guy (5ft-8/9 I think) is fat! For instance, Hazard is 171cm and weigth 66kg. Imagine him with 80kg!
