  1. In all honesty, I wouldn't like to be that tall. I think past 6'1'' is a bit too much, unless you're planning to become a basketball or volleyball pro that is. If I could choose, I'd probably be 6'1''. But about 5'10'' is already good enough - look at these legends rocking their 5'10-11'':
  2. What are you talking about, 5'10'' is the perfect height Who wants to be one of those tall abnormal freaks at 6'1''+ anyway...
  3. I fail to see how killing 300.000 people was the better choice between 5.000.000, 300.000 and a conditional surrender in which the conditions were regarding their emperor's safety. Even if I disregard the strong possibility that those numbers are inflated because they were brought up as part of a lobby in attempt to justify the use of the atomic bomb, even if I disregard that the war was already lost and the Japanese knew it, ergo the surrender was inevitable, I still fail to see how bombing them was the logical choice. It only becomes the logical choice if one takes in consideration the US was already foreseeing the Cold War and wanted both to show its power to the Soviet Union and also restrain their influence on east Asia. But I don't think those are legitimate reasons to commit a crime against humanity killing thousands of Japanese civilians. But that's just me.
  4. I don't like Ramires very much because he has a tendency to misplace passes every now and then - and I like good passers - but I don't think it was his fault that we failed to produce. Actually I blame it more on Fabregas for the second game, I think he was the one who should be advancing and orchestrating the attack there, but for the most part of those 45 minutes he didn't (unless Mourinho gave Ramires the job of being that man, which I don't think makes sense unless we're counter attacking - in that situation Fabregas should initiate with a pass while Ramires would be the one to join the attack with his speed). Other possibility would be akin to what you suggested, either Hazard or Willian roaming to the middle behind Costa while either Ramires, Cesc or one of the fullbacks took their place wide, but I reckon this isn't something that just happens, it has to be trained and instructed. That's why I said it all felt like it had not be trained before, everything was just too predictable - everyone in their fixed positions, no overlapping, no element of surprise, nothing. And our midfield looked like as if there were 3 holding midfielders, because none of them wanted to take risks going forward. As some have said, it was somewhat reminiscent of our problems from last season, but I still thought the amount of control we've shown against Besiktas surpassed many of the matches when we failed to create last season, that's a positive we can take.
  5. Don't you mean unorthodox? Orthodox is conventional, usual - unorthodox is the opposite - unconventional, uncommon, original, avant-garde
  6. I feel we're just a few tweaks away of being good to go. We rarely ever looked in danger of conceding. That last corner was unfortunate, Cech failed and JT also missed the timing to clear it.
  7. The game vs. Fenerbahce is exactly how I'd like to see us play - the pressing and the movement/overlapping was sharp, Hazard drifting to the middle, Oscar and Cesc interchanging positions, Costa and Oscar pressing high, Schurrle and Hazard being very direct and impactful, everything seemed fluid. On the other hand, the 4-3-3 vs. Besiktas seemed like it had never been trained before and despite keeping possession we rarely ever looked dangerous. I'm not discarding it yet, but it seems Mourinho hasn't trained that before - the midfield looked a bit confused about who should do what attacking wise.
  8. I think we can now safely say the formation in the first half is the way to go.

  10. That was a great set-piece from Oscar. Better than Willian for sure.
  11. They were playing like 4-3-2-1 or 4-3-0-3. There was this huge hole between Willian and Hazard and behind Costa most of the time and it was affecting our build-up in the final third due to lack of passing options.
  12. We're controlling the game well but there's some directness lacking. Either Ramires or Cesc must advance further up the pitch and join Costa. There's this huge gap in the middle.
  13. Look at that, Costa links up so well, what the fuck.
  14. Costa doesn't lose possession even when he has several defenders around him. I had forgotten what that was like.
  15. What?! They have just taken down the stream I was watching! Anyone willing to share theirs?
  16. Our FK which resulted in the second goal came when he was fouled doing his own thing too. Had it been Torres there, maybe it would have ended in 0-0.
  17. I noticed it in the second time I watched that gif too. He was all like "get out of the way ref, I'm trying to teach him a lesson"
  18. Costa continues to prove he's so much more than I expected. I'm glad I was wrong about him.
  19. Nah, Hazard played really well. Was looking terrific in the first minutes, specially whenever he drifted to the middle. Should have had an assist to Oscar which was incorrectly disallowed. Everyone played really good.
  20. Our first team looks so strong. Holy shit. And they just started playing together.
  21. Look how Cesc went further up the pitch to help the attack and Oscar dropped deep to cover for him... I told you guys they can do it.
  22. That's the pressing I wanna see just now from Oscar and Costa.
  23. I'm watching it here: http://firstrows.biz/soccer/fenerbahce-besiktas-frsf67cd I don't understand much of what's being said but it isn't stuttering at least.
