Azpi costs us games over and over again and he is playing like Ivanovic in his worst days. Reece is better than Azpi in the offensive phase and in this fom, Azpi is not PL level, sorry. Even if James makes mistakes here and there, it does not the end of the world. He will improve, while Azpi is on the downfall of his career. You can´t teach Azpi defending, especially when in his prime he was probably the best 1 vs 1 defender in the world. Now, he just lost it. Even if James is Azpi level at defending, he still is ten times better in the offensive phases of the game. He can cross the ball and Tammy is waiting for good crosses. We have a 1,90 cm striker and our only players that can cross the ball are CHO, Pulisic (as a right winger) and James. Two of them are injured...
-
Tammy and Mount would get loaned out again. I can see that happening
-
So what we need for next season is a world class winger and a world class defender. I don´t mind how much we pay for them. We should have enough money to buy two top class guys. ------------------------Tammy Sancho/Zaha ------------------CHO ------------RLC--------------Mount ---------------------Kante Emerson-Mr.X---Rüdiger---James We need a really good winger because I don´t think that Pulisic will make it as a starting winger when CHO and Pedro are fully fit. Zaha looks very good and Sancho is very good too. I think Sancho will got to City or United next season, but we can try. Otherwise, there is always Zaha and he is PL proven and can left or right winger. Tammy should be a starter because he knows how to score goals. We have bigger issues to solve. We always score goals, we just concede too much. I don´t know who we should buy as a CB. I heard that Skniar from Inter Milan is very good. I would go for him and buy him, even if it costs us 100 mio. If he is that good, buy him.

Rüdiger should be back for Chelsea next game. James probably needs more time.
-
James is injured and probably needs 1 months til he recovers. He still did not start training again with the first team
-
This may be the first time I have to agree with you haha. Last season was the time where he should have been replaced. But he became captain
-
He does his job, Again 2 good goals. But players like Azpi and Zouma are messing things up
-
Cost us the 3 points

I agree with you that midfielder roles can be quite different, but each winger has different assets. For instance, I would never use Messi as a left winger. He probably would play really good there, but he would waste a lot of his potential. Playing him as a right winger or false 9, or maybe the 10 role would be the best for him, but playing him on the left side where he can´t shoot that often with his left foot is not the best idea. Messi likes to cut inside, so does CHO. Ronaldo is the same. Using Ronaldo as a right winger would also be a waste of potential. Pulisic for instance is a winger that can play both sides and play both roles very good. Martial on the other hand can only play striker or left winger. He is really not a good right winger. CHO is a guy that likes to cut inside and shoot with his right foot and that is his biggest strenght. You can clearly see that he often takes too much time on the right side to decide what he wants to do. When he cuts inside as a right winger, he wastes a lot of time by doing that. His cutting inside move as a right winger is nearly not as fluid than his cutting inside move when he plays as a left winger. He dribbles with way more speed when he plays as a left winger compared to when he plays on the right side. The good thing about CHO is that he a lot of tools, so he can cross the ball or he can pass the ball into the box, but still his tempo dribbling and shooting is at its best as a left winger.
-
How good is he as a right winger?
-
CHO was a hit and miss in the PL last season and that has reasons. First of all, he is not a right winger and rarely played there at youth level. He was used as a winger or as a second striker. He can play as a right winger because of his talent, but you take away a lot of his tempo dribbling and scoring abilities when he plays asa right winger. But he has very good crossing abilities, which he can use on the right side. Judging players that play out of their best position is what Chelsea fans did a long time with RLC. When he played as a no. 6 under Mourinho in the CL or when he played no. 10 under Hiddink or as a stiker when he played under Conte. People always criticised him and when Sarri played him as a no. 8, which is his best position for people who have not seen him play at youth level. RLC even was saying that he is a no. 8, but his coaches did not use him there. That is one reason. Second reason is that last season he was playing with a shit Azpi and when you watch the games, CHO often was alone, while Hazard on his left side had Alonso or Emerson to give Hazard more freedom. CHO often times was just alone there and CHO is not Messi and will never be Messi. Azpi does a really bad job to give his right wingers more freedom.

Because Silva was a better player than Pulisic at Monaco when he was 22 or 23 years old with way more potential. At Monaco, he was playing really, really well and was one of their best performers. I always wanted him here back then. Sadly, we did not go for him
-
Pulisic has all season to show his skills and I give him enough time, but he has to show his worth. CHO did not play in his best position and still performed. Also, he is way more physical than Pulisic and CHO will perform if he recovers from his injury. Right now, it seems to me that Pulisic struggles with the physicality of the PL. Bernardo Silva for instance is more or less the same size as Pulisic and Silva showed way more at Monaco than Pulisic did at Dortmund. Silva is way better at dribbling and can pass the ball better. He also seems to know when to pass at the right time and that makes a big difference. Let´s see how Pulisic develops this season. He needs to explode sometime in this season, or Chelsea will buy another player next season
-
The question is how good Pulisic really is. He has potential, but right now, he needs to step up und get better. He was not a starter last season for Dortmund and I would not mind getting a top talent. I don´t see that many good talents from our youth that currently are playing wingers (Castillo for me is a LB). If that guy is cheap, we can´t do anything wrong. Also, does Zaha want to come to us? I would not mind a winger partnership between CHO and Zaha. CHO as a left winger and Zaha as a right winger. But Zaha could cost us 80 to 100 mio.

It is not like Kante does not do any defensive duties any more. He still does a lot and RLC is defensively solid too. He is a good tackler and he uses his body really well to start counter attacks after he wins a ball. I think it will be better having Kante and RLC play along side rather than Jorginho and Kante together. because RLC gives us a physical domination in midfield, which in big games can be a huge factor. Also, Mount is pretty solid at pressing and wins tackles too. I don´t think that we would lack in the defensive point of view having RLC-Mount-Kante. But I agree. We need better defenders. I hope that Rüdiger gets to his best, but I also don´t think that he will be the solution. We need to spend big next transfer window on a world class defender
-
RLC as a no. 10 will not work because he is not that good at it. He always was a no. 8 at youth level and he performed brilliant at Chelsea last season as a no. 8 under Sarri. As a no. 10, you waste his potential. When Lamps wants to play 4-2-3-1, just let Kante and RLC be no. 8 in that position. If RLC does his Yaya Toure runs, Kante can back up, if Kante wants to go forward, RLC can cover his position depending on the whole situation. In the big games, I see Lamps playing a 4-3-3, so RLC and Mount can play together and Lamps already said that all mifielders will have freedom, so RLC, Mount and Kante can use all their strenghts. Lamps is not that position focused
-
Mount and RLC are completely differnet player with different strenghts and weaknesses. Lamps and Stevie were pretty similar in their style
-
Seems like a Thomas Müller strenght or at least that was something that Müller was famous for.
-
Like I said, some Chelseafans are very hypocritical and don´t have fair judgement on players. Let them be haters. RLC was judged very poorly too. One example from Special Juan That quote from Special Juan was under Conte where RLC did not play in his natural position. Most people do not even know that RLC is a no. 8. He was playing no. 8 since his youth. Mou thought that he was a no. 6 in the long run and played him as a no. 6 or sometimes as a no. 10 because he thought that he was not experienced enough to play the no. 6 position. He never was a no. 6 in youth. Mou did not know shit about RLC´s real position, even though it was obvious when you analyze his strenghts. Saying RLC is a no. 6 in the long term is just stupid, but Mou is the worst coach of all time when it somes to youth integration and seeing youth potential. Conte used him as a striker and he never played striker at youth level. Roy at Palace played him as a winger and he was not a winger at youth level. It took fucking Sarri to realise that he was a no. 8 and Sarri played him there because he needed no. 8 players. People back than were always slaughtering RLC for no good reasons too. Judging a no.8 when he plays as a no. 10 or a striker is not the most objective idea, but these Chelsea experts don´t care and say that they are not good enough either way... You can´t change chelsea fans. Most of them are as knowledgeable as Real Madrid fans.... It is what it is.

No, Lamps said that he was selected as the fifth penalty taker due to the fact that Tammy asked him to give him the fifth penalty taker slot.Tammy wanted to shoot the penalty because of his confidence.
-
I somehow knew you would be the one to answer haha. So from those 5 CBs, who would you buy? And how good is Skiriniar? I think we should go and invest in the best CB out there, even if it cost 80+ million. It is key for our future success. Our offensive football looks very good, but our CBs look shaky, especially Zouma. I don´t think that Rüdiger can fix that either because he always has his blackouts
-
What do people think about Milan Skriniar? I have never seen him play, but a good Inter fan of mine said that he is the best 1 vs 1 defender he has seen in a while
-
rubbish but nearly won against us. So we will probably go down this season... At the end of the day, Tammy has everything a top striker needs to have. His second goal was also Costa level. His passing and his hold up play are great and he showed that in every match this season. He played 170 minutes this season and scored two goals. Not bad at all and considering the fact that he only has 2.3 shots at goal per game, this stat is pretty good. Tammy will even perform better when James and CHO come into the team again. Both are very good at crossing and Tammy needs good crosses.
-
What did Giroud do in 20 minutes? Did he score against a championchip side ala Norwich? Worrying performance from Tammy? or from the team? Because Tammy was MOTM.
-
Does anyone have the goal? Happy for the kid. I did not rate him based on his pre season, but I did not watch him in his last youth season to give a fair judgement on him.
