  1. Exactly, you're at the game, we score, and inside you hold back, and its all muted with the fans round you -
  2. Cant trust the media as usual -Standard says Chelsea are hoping to have Cole Palmer and Reece James back available for Saturday’s Premier League derby against Brentford. The duo have missed both of new head coach Liam Rosenior’s first two matches in charge so far, against Charlton and Arsenal in the cups. Palmer was initially expected to return to Chelsea training on Friday ahead of potentially facing the Bees, but he and captain James were both involved in Thursday’s session at Cobham in a boost to their chances of being involved at the weekend.
  3. Although we're still without 9 players...🤨 Cole Palmer, Reece James and Malo Gusto are all doubts for this weekend after missing the midweek EFL Cup defeat to Arsenal with injuries, while Liam Delap and Jamie Gittens have both been struck down by illness. All told, Chelsea could be forced to make do without as many as nine first-team players against Brentford. Reuters Medical team are US Evangelist Faith healers ?
  4. Garnacho had animal instincts in knowing where the ball would appear for his brace, and clinical finishing Very Lampardesque
  5. Any team would be fucking stupid not to
  6. Still we've won this cup four times since the North London mongs last won it.
  7. Hasselbaink showing Pedro was to blame for their first. Stood there with hands on his hips, walks towards Ben White, doesnt jump
  8. Its the whole back area though - Cudicini, Cech would be looking average without top defenders. Sort that out with Enzo and Caecedo in front of them, stick a WC No 9 up top and we're challenging again
  9. Yes with James, Caecedo and Palmer definitely
  10. Its ok, we're just a small part of the franchise
  11. RIP one of my first Chels heroes. Mainstay on the teamsheet. Former Chelsea player and manager Eddie McCreadie has passed away, aged 85. The Glaswegian full-back first joined Chelsea in 1962, signing from East Stirlingshire for just £5,000, and went on to spend 11 years at Stamford Bridge. The then 22-year-old was the first signing of Tommy Docherty’s managerial tenure, and won promotion to the First Division in his debut campaign. Eddie McCreadie served as both a player and a manager for Chelsea (Getty Images) He played a crucial role in delivering Chelsea’s first major cup title, too, scoring what ultimately proved the winner as the Blues beat Leicester in a two-legged League Cup final in 1965, joining Bobby Tambling and Terry Venables on the scoresheet. He later played every minute of Chelsea’s legendary 1970 FA Cup final defeat of Leeds, settled by a replay at Old Trafford as the Blues clinched the title for the first time. An athletic, hard-working full-back, McCreadie caught the eye with his tenacious, no-nonsense approach and became a fast fan favourite. He was forced to retire from football in 1973 after an Achilles injury, and did so with some 410 Chelsea appearances to his name - on top of 23 international caps. Eddie McCreadie will be remembered for his athleticism and aggression (Getty Images) A move into the club's coaching staff followed, and McCreadie helped steer them through a period of financial crisis. He turned the club’s fortunes around, though, calling up some talented academy prospects and delivering them back to the top flight. He left the club after falling out with the board over a pay dispute and briefly revived his playing days in the United States, making a single appearance for the Memphis Rogues of the North American Soccer League. He later managed them, too. Reconciliation eventually came some 40 years later, though, as McCreadie made his long-awaited return to Stamford Bridge. McCreadie is a member of a rather exclusive group of people to have both played for and managed Chelsea, joining the likes of Frank Lampard, Glenn Hoddle and Ruud Gullit. Fan tributes to McCreadie are coming thick and fast as the Chelsea faithful pay their respects to a club legend.
  12. It won't be an easy task. Arsenal allegedly have the best squad in the league, they have form and confidence and momentum, Arteta will prepare for every detail to get the win, and players who aren't afraid of doing whatever it takes to ensure they come away with a result. We have to match them in every way - and do it all without Caicedo. Rosenior's response to tactical questions so far has been to brush them off and point out that his focus has been working on his players' mindset and attitude rather than anything too technical. Given his limited time on the training pitch, that's probably a sensible idea. We can do this
  13. Ex-Chelsea youngster Lamisha Musonda has revealed he only has days left to live despite only being 33 years of age. The Belgian joined the west Londoners from Anderlecht in 2012, as did his brothers Tika and Charly, and spent two years in the Blues' youth sides “As I realise I only have a few days left, I also realise I had a lot of people by my side and I’ll always cherish the memories. Life is hard, but the view is great”
  14. Feel sorry for Strasbourg fans. They must feel like Blueco is like Tesco, and an area manager has just been posted to another branch. Franchisetastic
  15. Not sure tbh. Thats not to say they dont affiliate with other clubs as well, but Chelsea back in the day were the club of choice. Chelsea hotel ? Early 80s we ran an unofficial Chelsea away supporters club, (threatened with legal action by the club, long story), my point being people came from Cornwall, Devon etc, and two guys used to fly over from New York every two weeks to join us. Proper commitment !
  16. There was always a subtantial Chelsea following in New York, even pre Abramovich, several bars used to show our games. But yes, there will be more of this seeing as so many Americans have invested in PL, pays good dividends apparently We'll probably see a ramping up of all things Saaaacer now in US media seeing as theyre hosting the 'World Series Trump Cup sponsored by Venezuela Oil and Greenland minerals'
