The Summer, next season and Beyond
Fulham Broadway replied to EskWeston's topic in Matthew Harding Stand
Rebuilding will be done in the Summer, Hiddink will make the best of what he has, and if he gets some kind of silverware, then that will have a marked effect. The economic situation will have some bearing as well -if there are greenshoots of recovery, Abramovich will obviously feel like putting his hand in his pocket, and the current policy will be changed Regardless of that, I cant see five or six being here for the start of 2009-10. Youngsters need to be given chances and told in the Summer what's expected, and arnesen needs to start justifying his existence along with 250+scouts to unearth some new players with real potential. -
Good Luck Ray. Lets not forget he was a Chelsea 'Great' our youngest ever captain, scored some fantastic goals for England as well..... Come on Chels

Harry Harris on BBC Radio 5 Live this morning. Pikeys ringing in saying they're not renewing their season tickets in protest

Expensive Fuck Ups

Were interviewed by Abramovich last week according to Harry Harris on BBC R5. They are the managers 2009/10 season, nailed on.
-
Well he should have got better results then shouldnt he ? Source please.

Real Madrid are heavily subsidised by the Spanish government. Man Utd owners owe more than they are worth -the list is essentially meaningless. Even when a club is 'rich' it just means it usually charges the fans more.

Win at Watford. Lose to Villa. Boooooooos ring round the Bridge as Juventus win , along with ''You dont know what you're doing'' when its 0-0 half time against Wigan. Club sacks him, gives him £5 million in compensation, and in their usual panic get in Sam Allardyce ''till the end of the season''. Probably.

Was definitely one for the future. -as far as slowing his development, hopefully it's just put on temporary hold. There is a danger that 40-50% of players are never the same after a leg break, but to his advantage he has age on his side.

Well said DV. That, and no 'inside ' Chelsea man with Clarke gone. I like Ray Wilkins, hes Chelsea but hes more of a Chelsea TV, media man. I watched him play countless times, and he was the Lampard of his day -but even his style was laid back as well.
-
Agree. Terry didnt mask the revolt by saying he supported Scolari ''along with two or three other players''. Older players who now manage, or have written their autobiographies, always seem to regret the dressing room revolutions against their managers, saying they were counter productive. Scolari may have been able to develop the team, but time is of the essence, and he seemed too laid back for any respect or belief to be formed by the squad.

So now hes gone -who do we want ?

Was thinking the same, but Hiddink isnt as laissez faire as Scolari, and its only temporary. Think we'll see a different mentality against Watford, and am optimistic for the Villa game as well.... -
Read about that -sounded fucking horrific -hopefully he'll return, but those injuries can sometimes be career changing and occasionally career ending.

Might be alright from Chelseas perspective, but keeping an eye on potential Russian squad members will be tricky. Doubtless Abramovich is laying on a personal jet to fly here, there, and fucking everywhere. Russia have two games whilst hes with us - Azerbaijan in March and Liechtenstein in April.... -

Woman eh ? Like the cut of your jib JBD. Definitely a younger manager is required long term, Hiddink is 60 + and is in his own words 'doing Abramovich a favour'. The other thing is, with a track record of managers coming and going, doing a few months work, knowing full well that their 2,3, or 5 year contact will be paid in full -wheres the incentive for them to do well if they're old ? -

He would command discipline in the squad, doesnt suffer fools or slackers. I would be pleased about this. He also likes his wide players. -

Well that would be good, if it's a reliable source. Abramovich has probably said he can go back to preparing Russia for the World cup in May. Abramovich will not be popular in russia if he takes away their World Cup hopes -unless he finds a replacement for the national team -

There were 3 or 4 threads on this forum with post running into hundreds. Try the archives. If he returns to SW 6 there will be protests, and only a matter of time before he is lynched, and if he had any self respect at all, which he doesnt he'll stay well away. -

Grant = Charlatan, fraudster, ingratiates himself to the wealthy -we've been over this countless times. Absolutely no talent whatsoever. Cone man. Fat twat. -

Deschamps has had a few negative things to say about CFC over the years, and I dont think the squad would respect him, but if its true the club just want a temp, could be anyone. -

Grant got us to the CL final ? Would dispute that. The players got too the CL final despite Grant in my book, and Grant over Mancini ? having a laugh ? Actually quite fancy the two Robertos, Mancini and Di Matteo would be fantastic. Both played at Lazio, and Di Matteo is probably better than Clarke as an ex Chelsea man -
Wilkins should go for a 4-4-2 and give the youngsters a start, whether he will or not though....

Too right, its not just Scolari who should be on the way out. Not too bothered about Wilkins, all hes been doing is translating and a bit of PR. Cant blame him that much. Short sighted people who were afraid to tell Emperor Roman that he was in the all together about Mourinho, or that Grant was a useless cunt should go. In short Yes men . We definitely do not want another Abramovich Yes man.
