  1. The role of managers is way, way overrated. Still, counting the days, counting the days......I want us to do well, but I'm ignoring him and counting down to when the esteemed waiter leaves
  2. Reid was a one off.... fergie and Connolly would do well to read again Reids ' Rat Race' speech
  3. Champions of the World We know what we are Would be nice to sing if we get the chance :blue scalf:
  4. Some one also chucked a drug testing kit at Ferdinand.... but it missed completely
  5. Today the granny shagger did a winning slide on his knees when the third went in, right in front of the Citeh fans and then him and Evra did the chest thumping thing, again right in front of the Citeh fans -thats when it kicked off. Ferguson probably wont mention that
  6. Is the fat cunt in Japan already, or is the earthquake down to something else ?
  7. Nice moves and goals last night. Interesting to see how it pans out against Sunderland, and in Japan. - games against Everton, Stoke, gooners, Man City, Leeds etc are the real litmus test rather than a brace against a pub team. I will reserve judgement on the Rafalution (if hes still here) until the New Year
  8. http://www.booking.com/hotel/nl/citizenm-amsterdam-city.en-gb.html?aid=303948;label=amsterdam-XQz2ljH7vAp8458OrgHWJQS12581565501%3Apl%3Ata%3Ap1750%3Ap2%3Aac%3Aap1t1%3Aneg;sid=e9e61d9e04b493b7edc3074d6db4b1e3;dcid=1 Deposit paid for May.
  9. We know What We Are But We Aint Anymore Champions Of Europe ...On ITV 4
  10. Unbeleivably spoilt some people. The 'low ' of Europa isnt that big a deal. Winning the 2nd Div at Grimsby was sublime, and if someone had said we'd be Champions of Europe 20 years later I'd have thought they'd necked acid or were just a cunt.
  11. Ray Wilkins - "Will the fans start warming to him now?" "The fans aren't stupid Jeff"
  12. Mmmm... Amsterdam :eyebrows: Win this and the World Club Cup next week and we've won the lot...
  13. Not going tonight, but feel I might miss a blinder with Torres defending corners
  14. Source - http://www.redandwhi...?topic=249365.0 I might be wrong but its probably a source that is a little biased. Quite a few Dipper fans acknowledge hes probably the most notorious for squandering money on rubbish. The mediocre squad he inherited from Houllier was arguably no stronger when he left. Still fair play for your dogged defence of FSW, you must have some lively debate in the MHL Lower with the people around you !
  15. Yes I am sure every manager makes pony signings, but Benitez made on average two for every one that was average or above. Not sure why you put them in bold, but for every Agger or Alonso there is a Kronkamp or Nunes. Or Morientes, or Dossena, Voronin, Josemi, or Keane,or Itanje ...it goes on and on. Ok you ''know a few players and staff from just around''. and they may have told you something -but the players are contracted and will perform regardless of who is at the helm. I dont know how intimate you are with them, but I doubt they would confide in you or anyone else that they think Rafas a cunt. Most employees would never slag of their manager in public-it usually results in the sack, Anyway the point is the vast majority of Chelsea fans will not accept him, regardless, which is more a reflection on the shambolic board than on Tubby himself
  16. His track record is mediocre at best, He said he would never manage Chelsea, and took the piss out of plastic flags. He spent over £230m on signings the majority of which were rubbish, He has had the worst start of any Chelsea manager. The 'prejudices' are justified in my opinion. The club is nothing without us.We all know the real reason he has been brought in is to save face with the owner as an expensive last resort to get Fernando the Wonderhorse scoring. A result tonight would lift the pressure, and a Shaktar win would even win some fans round. Many, however will still be looking forward to the day he gets the call to leave. Intrigued -who are your sources at the club ? My guess is some players are undoubtably ambivalent to his arrival -the longer stalwarts will also shrug their shoulders at the revolving door -but they would also be disgusted at the way RDM was unceremoniously thrown out.
  17. Agree about the transitional phase -but that has been foisted upon the club via shabolic decisions. The leadership skills, grit and determination on the pitch will be hard to replace when Captain, Leader, Legend hangs up his boots. Cant quite see Oscar or Mata in the same vein somehow. The continuity that is lacking in terms of managers, has been patched over by JTs stewardship on the pitch. With 11 managers, assistants and backroom staff, spinning through the revolving door he has been the bedrock that has inspired, geed up, and kept CFC on its feet. Something that shouldnt be over looked or underestimated.
  18. Well reading between the lines of last nights doc -it seems hes being readied as Fergusons replacement. Cant blame him who'd want to come here ? Guardiola will go to Man City at the end of the season , and we will have ...er Rednapp followed by Christian Gross, then Kean, then people from this forum
  19. Death threats ? There just preparing him for when he returns
  20. First loss to West Ham since 2002 and not winning a league game in. 7 games since 1995. Fucking hell we should get Hoddle in to advise......
  21. Haha thats begging for someone to photoshop Torres and Rafa
  22. Well he did out wit him. They won 3-1. You listen to the managers at the end Allardyce made sense whilst FSW waffled on like Grant
