  1. Abramovich transformed us into English football's nouveau riche. Winning five Premier League titles, five FA Cups, three League Cups, two Champions Leagues, two Europa Leagues, two Community Shields, one Super Cup and finally the Club World Cup in February, his investment and oversight helped turn us into a powerhouse of the modern game, shattering the status quo. Clearlake, Egbali and and Boehly - how's the next chapter going ?
  2. We were crap in the late 70s and early eighties the difference being the club was skint, Bates bought the club for a £1. We had a massive away support, all the songs and chants were ironic and had humour attached. Now we spend billions, and are crap again, and Clearlake are so tight that they curtailed the subsidised away support. Reasons to be angry. Reasons to be cheerful ? Things can only get better ...or relegation fight looming
  3. We've played 29 Premier League games in 2023 and we've won.........5 of them. And the five are Luton, Bournemouth, Leicester, Leeds and Palace. Shocking, truly shocking.
  4. Made some amazing stops last couple of games - he's stopped our goals against being embarassing.
  5. Yup thats the managers territory -first to take the hit. As @manpe said though, Fish FC rots from the head down.
  6. So true. They bought a successful brand and arent bothered where the cash comes from. I've never had so many e mails and texts from the club, buy this, buy that enter this competition. What a bag 'o shite.
  7. The other problem now is we move to the next stage. Stage 2: when every club knows they can beat us and has no respect. Might be struggling for the heady heights of last seasons 12th come April. Blame lies with the owners.
  8. Having been sacked from his last two jobs, had been out of work for a year and notoriously hasn't got a history of winning trophies, I was surprised that so many people(especially those in the media) thought Pochettino was a great appointment and that he would do great things at Chelsea.
  9. Under Roman, you could feel the passion from the owner to win and become one of the best clubs in the world....Clearlake gives you the feeling that the club is just a vehicle for profit and that "it's all business"
  10. Berlin holding out well so far. Madrid players are seemingly allowed to foul with impunity
  11. Even Potter said the Physio set up was rubbish getting rid of blokes that had been there for a decade- Private physiotherapy firm 'Remedy' is mainly used now, dont know if their name is ironic or not.
  12. Manchester City's trip to Stamford Bridge will now take place on November 12 at 4:30pm rather than November 11 at 3pm to accomodate TV revenue sources
  13. Those first time nerves can be calmed if you have a supportive crowd. All the more reason to reverse the stupid latest decision to remove the £10 away support subsidy that has been in place since Abramovich introduced it
  14. Welcome. We have a 'Chelsea Gold' section, be great to read your memories.
  15. Walker Bellingham and Kane immense Braveheart, William Wallace was a paedophile apparently
  16. Quite a few Chels and ex Chels involved in the oldest International fixture of all time Scotland v England 'friendly'
  17. People running football dont realise so much. A vocal, capacity away support is probably worth 10 points a season. Fucking idiots
  18. Chelsea owners to erect two EIGHT-FOOT lions outside Stamford Bridge as part of renovation plans - just weeks after club was slammed for scrapping subsidised coach travel Chelsea owners to erect two EIGHT-FOOT lions outside Stamford Bridge as part of renovation plans - just weeks after club was slammed for scrapping subsidised coach travel | Daily Mail Online
  19. City now want to sign him – as he is refusing to sign a new contract. That is according to 90min.
  20. Same, feels like a car crash waiting to happen. Those games when we almost were guaranteed 3 points seem a long way off now
  21. Malang Sarr has been told he’s still free to leave the club this month while transfer windows overseas remain open. That is according to a report from The Athletic.
  22. ''Football clubs buyers dont own the club, they have to nurture it, like i nurture my daughter you dont own the club you are custodians'' ''The club is not a commodity'' Very romantic and naive if he believes that crock of shit.. Clubs are investments, football is a business. Thats the reality sunshine. They have bought a brand name, and its stock will get worth less than it is now - but as long as the TV revenue pours in.... We were lucky with abramovich - a genuine fan
  23. Will say it again , no fucking leaders of note. Will turn into a Graham Pochettino season if not remedied
