That's what I'm hoping for Oscar that Mata exit free his mind as on some matches he was rushing too much in attack, trying to do too much.
-
Imagine if we would have a Negredo, all those passes in front of goal, he would have scored some.
-
Otherwise I liked how Matic was intercepting the ball after the first control of Stoke players. And he made a great interception on the edge of the box; he's so much better than Mikel (much more dynamism in his game).
-
The old Eto'o would have scored three goals.

Mata and De Bruyne are players who need others to make space for them. Hazard William are players that create space for others.

That's why Swansea in the first match of the cup after 25 minutes changed their right midfield for a more defensive one to help their right back. Last year Hazard and Oscar had to do a lot of work defensively under Benitez but still Hazard was contributing in stats in the end of the year. And Hazard on the left was often isolated, Lampard is not Ramires that can offert a lot of support for right back in right midfield. Azpi was also more prominent in the build-up than Cole and Mata himself was often drifting to the right. In the Europa league, Mata was not playing that much. It was Hazard Oscar Moses than often played, against Basle, Hazard was destroying the shape of their team. Against Tottenham when he was substituted by Moses, in the last 15-20 minutes, we were not keeping the ball while Hazard before that would receive the ball in our 30 meters and by carrying the ball and keeping it, would push up our block and relieve pressure on the defense. Hazard Oscar Ramires Torres by their movement were giving extra space to Mata. Before Hazard and Oscar came, Mata was not that impressive, I remember watching some matches in the end of the year and while Mata would keep the ball and pass it, it was often sterile as he was incapable of beating his man, drive with the ball to draw defenders out of position (it's what create space). Mata can be marked out of a game with a player, with Hazard you must do a double cover. Looked at the super cup match against Bayern, Bayer was pressing high but when Hazard was beating his man and driving with the ball, it was very dangerous for Bayern. Against Schalke it was the same. Pardew said one thing that you must understand, By his ability to carry a ball, hold a ball, Hazard can give time to other players to time their run.

Don't understand why some compare him to Hazard. On the video he looks more like like Bale with the way he pushes the ball and beats his opponent with pace, a bit like Bale against Maicon.
-
But many of those are there as cash flow maker when we will sell them. Many agents don't care if their players will play at Chelsea or not, the agent has his fee, we loan them, they play and gain value on the transfer market. Of the young players, I only see Traore making it at Chelsea.
-
I hope we are after Shaw or Rodriguez and not Ross Barclay. Wonder if we could see a three man midfield with Matic Oscar Willian Salah on the right, Eden on the left. I hope so as Oscar would be better if he had less pressing high the pitch to do and would do what he does best before he came to Chelsea, linking the play with fullbacks, wingers and forward. It would ease the pressure on him to produce in the final third.
-
I hope so, the name we are being linked to today doesn't excite me.
-
Great it will not put pressure on Oscar, he's already overplaying trying to do too much while he would be better if he would calm down.
-
Quite stupid from Laudrup. With Michu injured, they have no one to make actions in the final third.
-
I understand why many don't want him to go to Man Utd but it's the only club who would pay this much for him. PSG could but seems not that interested. Man City Real Barcelona Bayern doesn't have a need for a player like him.
-
More like Aussie football.
-
I blame styles and David Luiz watching a NBA game this week for this block move but even in basket it would have been a foul
-
Again a player like Januzaj, Azpi would have been better as he's very good against dribbling player.
-
I think he tries too much in attack. Maybe it has to do with the fact that the club expects that players like him, Hazard to be decisive every game. I would like to see him in a three man midfield, playing a bit deeper, and do late runs when we have more control of the ball. Like he did with the olympic team.
-
Not a great game from him and Oscar. We didn't keep the ball well and he lacked confidence to really push forward knowing that if we lose the ball he has to run back.
-
Ugly match but three points. It was like watching an italian game and not the best one.
-
The Brazil's touch in midfield. Hazard is belgian but he's more like a brazilian footballer
-
It won't last. A bit like us in the beginning of the season with Di Matteo. They are conceding way too many shots.
-
Oscar to score the first goal on a hazard pass, either over the defense or in a lay-off.
-
You've said it yourself, counterattacking CF. Otherwise, except his headers, in open play he's very average. Average first touch, poor running with the ball, and bad awareness to spot and pass to teammates
-
His problem I think was that he wasn't interested in improving his defensive game, adding more things to his game. In the Bundesliga with a team like Werder, he had much more space and even said that he didn't like the tactical training of his coach and he said that he would prefer if the attacking players would do like they want lol. Even with Belgium, he would press high on the pitch but not really play a positional play to cut passing option deeper. I think that's why he likes the bundesliga, except two three teams, it's a bit end to end football with a lot of space.
-
And that playing well below par the first two months of this season. His dribbles completed have skyrocketed since he's been on form.
