Yes a striker and a midfielder. Coincididentially we are also a world-class DM and ST away from competing with barca, real and city.

Chelsea lodge complaint about Clattenberg
Magic Lamps replied to bababoom's topic in Matthew Harding Stand
How childish can adult men behave? Those are "referees" whose job it is to make right judgements. How can they now dare to prejudge a case before it is resolved. They are no team playing against us (even so it feels like that more often than not) but professional individuals. How can they feel attacked after we accused Clattenburg? It is our right to do so in case he has abused our players and they are forestelling the verdict. How dumb u can be, they are directly undermining the FA's authority? As if it would be our problem if they opt against doing their fuckin job and rather indulge in self-pity derived from their lack of reasoning. They pretend it is our fault that their colleague could not shut up. -
I never thought they'd play attractive football. Nasri, Fabregas or van persie used to produce sth extraordinary every once in a while but that was it. They play boring, pedestrian, weakss style football with no pressing or fast passing. They might have decent techicians but they have no one who stands out and could make a difference.

Arsenal are lucky to be still in this. they were shite the whole game not had a single chance. In German we use the term "Schützenhilfe", which would losely translate to "shooter's help" when another team helps you by taking points off your rival. In this case you again can not expect that from a team with a forward line consisting of "shooters" such as Cazorla, Poldi and Giroud
-
every time i watch ManU play against a team that is not chelsea they miss a pen.
-
U can't expect anything from a team with podolski and grioud as strikers. All poldi has to his name is that he is German, and in England people use to make much of that and Giroud only strength is that he looks like James Roday (Shawn in Psych)

simply has to be Lamps. Not even a debate

Whereas I as you know really respect and rate your opinion I have to strongly disagree in that point as it is far too early to say. As great as they sometimes are, their success is a product of their immense collective effort as the result of which numerous bvb players have been starkly overrated. Hummels is a more than decent defender but you can't compare a guy who's played exactly 9 CL games (of which only 3 were won) and might be one of the better defenders in a mediocre league where his opponents are guys like Schahin, Schlaudraff, Harnik or other players with players who have played in the very best league with the very best offenses in the world and won a fuckin CL-title as a defender-duo. There are some aspects he might be more talented at as he is super calm (other than Luiz) and has great positional play (other than cahill) but overall as a player and as a defender he is not at that level. Neither does he possess the technical and offensive abilites of the two which are regularly reflected by spectacular goals nor the tactical flexiblity. The latter he impressively demonstrated by emerging as major culprit in bvbs loss against the dumping ground of world football, hamburger sv. p.s. I used to play for Racing Union but I do not see my future in professional football as I could not imagine me having any long term success due to my very limited abilites. U have to picture it this way: I usually kick the ball past the defender and outsprint him when i got space and I bulldoze my defender drogba-style when i got no space. That works until the opposition coach figueres that out and advises another defender to cover (sometimes i still can als skip past the two defenders as i run the 40 yards/35m in 4.2-4.3 seconds).

If it has to be Bundesliga, Papadopolus is indeed a great prospect, his game is already very mature for a 20 year old and that is reflected by his stats. But I like defenders tall and he's only 6'. Atm the Bundesliga is not exactly an El Dorado of good young and cheap CBs. Jan Kirchhof, Joel Matip and Matthias Ginter are decent, too. At least they are all pretty tall. The latter I know well from my own footballing days. He was my marker in a summer torunament match against Freiburg II and in an international friendly on u18 level (even though I am german I used to live in and play for Luxembourg). Due to his fine technique and vision he can play in any position in the centre of the pitch (yes also goalie and no.10). But I think i gave him a hard time, as i am stronger and faster than him. Never been a great footballer and we lost both games, but in the club game I scored.

This is not about racism. It is simply wrong to say a player is a better or worse defender only because of his origin or all defenders from a certain country are trustworthy in general. There is no necessary link between defence abilities and ethnicity/origin/nationality.

saturday 15:00 in England, no idea what's your timezone. Confident we will win this with whatever team, but can't imagine this being a walk in the park considering the lack of rotation in the last games.
-
LOLZ. Yeah and Höwedes is special case because he is lightweight and Hummels is special case because he is internationally inexperienced all shit defenders are special cases because they are shit. On U18 international level I have ripped defenders of pure german ascendancy to shreds. No the ethical origin makes the defender but his individual attributes and education. Hence, every footballwise successful country produces great defenders.

I have watched Bundesliga and BPL a lot and the BuLi is no match for the Prem. In England football is played much faster, more straightforward and in general with more quality. the physical is much higher in terms of strength and endurance. In the Bundesliga there are games that are mere slapstick shows between teams that might not even get in the championship. Additionally the Bundesliga does not really have the financial power to attract worldclass players if they are not cast-outs of a bigger club and even then only Bayern who become wealthy through alot of corruption within the federal state of Bavaria and Edmund Stoiber's extreme fondness for the club. In the BuLI there might be 2 or 3 clubs with a plan how to develop themselves the others only look at their balances and don't give a fuck about strategic investions. Teams like Stuttgart, Hamburg, Wolfsburg with solid financial background always achieve to manoeuvre themselves into situations like just avoiding relegations, because they buy loads of medicore players from shit leagues without an idea of fitting them into their squad. the Bundesliga is such "competition" because every team including bayern fucks it up regularly. Only in a shit league like bundesliga those teams eventually become champion. German football has not won a single international trophy since more than ten years. They might have a decent youth development but that's it, Every time they produca a half decent player outside of bayern and moemntarily Dortmund (whose rise was only possible because everyone else fucked it up once again) they immediately have to sell it. To conclude the BuLi is only a slightly better version of shit leagues like France or Brazil no way near Spain or even England. I would rate the league of Italy way higher if they would reealise their full potential and would not be stuck in scandals.

*cough*Mertesacker*cough*Boateng*cough*. Bundesliga defenders only look good against Bundesliga oppositions. If u take the strong ones from there like Kompany, they might be able to handle physical EPL-opponents and succeed, but I am not so sure about guys like Höwedes.

Each team should have 2 challenges per game applyable on any decisions they want. i would go for goals, penalties and red cards here. They can only be used them when the game is interrupted. Any events happened as a result of the challenged decisions while play was not interrupted yet are annulled if the decision is proven wrong.
