  1. either bring back him or Essien, cos we clearly need some depth in midfield + he can also play AM. considering the current situation I would also bring back Lukaku, provided Rafa, or whoever manager we will have then does play him. But there is a reason he mainly is used as a sub for west Brom, his lack of skills are not as apparent in a period all other players begin to tire, so he still is no one to lead attack but surely could be an impact sub, as he is at WBA.
  2. I remember the experts saying he was lucky the puddle was there, but IMO this is actually a well taken goal, even though you are probably right, Torres funny habit of always going right in front of the keeper when on goal usually result in the goalie saving his effort, cos of the improved angle, except of course, you are Shay Given. But I think this Darren Campbell is right in all aspects, except that "sprinting is relaxation" stuff. He probably means sprinting in the game is effortless, cos u a focused on the ball not sprinting itself, but if u want to get faster u have to train running as fast as u can maintaining concentration and giving it your all, which is about the most straining thing you can do for a few secs. If he is right, there are no individual training concepts this is a huge problem of our training systems in general but nothing he is to solve. Sprint training is no rocket science, some squats with about 1.5 to 2 times your bodyweight and a series of short sprints with 5 rests in between have always done for me. I think Torres problem is mental as well, as he does not dare to do things he has done for liverpool, cos he fears injuries, he is inhibited in everything he does hence can not follow his instinct which have made him so great.
  3. But he is right. All three of them have wasted shitloads of golden opportunities to get us back on on track with the certainty of a sleepwalker. They fuckin have to work on their finishing.
  4. Taison is rather like Mata or Hazard just not as good, great technique and dribbling skills but neither real pace nor proficient in finishing. Why pumping more money in the corpse's ass, what do have these players provided us with yet? We need power, pace and vigour back no just the same useless player again.
  5. We are Chelsea no way we are getting treated fairly by the refs.
  6. Lol we closed an incredible 15 points gap to ManU after him coming back. He contributed 10 goals and 7 assists in 21 games after returning, including the winner against Man Utd at the bridge which incented our comeback and our goal at Old Trafford after Luiz ended it with two stupid errors. We lost the league when he was absent -same as this season- and nearly won it back after he returned.
  7. That probably means no gaols once again. It has been 6 weeks since Lamps injury which was supposed to take 2-3 weeks to recover... please not another pandemic season for him. He was out for the majority of the 2007/8 and 2010/11 season. We finished them with no titles respectively. No coincidence.
  8. How to relegate a European Champion to a mid-table club by Bruce Buck and Ron Gourlay.
  9. yeah we are third again 0-0. Our offense is just crap atm. Ony positive, Marin offered a little bit but not enough. Why did Rafa not throw in Moses?
  10. Cesar gets better every game no matter who is the opponent. Though struggled a bit competing physically, really should put some brawn on.
  11. It was definitely a strange decision to appoint Rafa as manager considering our common history but he now has the chance to at least neutralize his reputation: it will not be the same as with Robbie, but i think Rafa has never been the guy who gets that familiar with players. But for the club we should at least let him do his job until he actually puts a foot wrong.
  12. Yeah City were just like us, decen tin defense, sloppy in attack. In general there were all sorts of blunders today, which would be funny if the situation wasn't so serious. City caught us on the break twice. the first time Yaya toure placed his pass just in the hands of cech, the second time he managed to play a flat diagonal ball that rolled over the pitch about 20s but somehow evaded everyone tamely bobbling out for goal kick. Chris foys reluctance to award us a corner after an ashley cole shot that would have hit the cross bar was palmed high into the matthew harding upper by Hart is just another refereeing classic made in England.
  13. Your are right. Luiz was a rock of a defender today. I mean he was up against Agüero, Dzeko, Tevez and Balotelli but never got beaten. Particularly liked when he came from behind to disposess Dzeko, the ball fell to agüero onyl for luiz to tackle him and defend the ball within one m² of space with 3 city players around him. he just dribbled past and drew the foul. This guy has all the tools to be any kind of footballer he wishes.
  14. Could have gone either way, so it is a fair result. The ball just didn't want to cross any line whatsoever. Intense Match, great technical niveau but also many errors on both sides. Zabaleta shoudl have been sent off, cos he made three cynical fouls from behind but only got booked once. Rafa got his tactics right, but u can't deny a classy side like City all chances, esp with that amount of ricochets and deflections we saw today. Mazacar did not really set the world on fire today, which is quite sad. Since that stolen victory against Utd all has gone downhill, esp with Mazacar. The thing that worries me is that MAZACAR is still without a goal against a top defence such as City and Juventus. Its not really their fault, but today they did not really create many clear cut chances. one problem is, they make it complicated, which does lead to a great team goal at times but it would probably yield more success, if they would play it more direct. Remember Mata and Oscar finding themselves within acres of space just at the edge of the box, both tryed to play the through ball but fucked it up. Yeah Torres could have made a run, but my first idea would always be to go for the shot. any old school attacking mid like Ballack, Lampard, Gerrard would have scored from there every other time. Fact is, City could deny us easily most times, before we even had a chance of creating, cos our attack lacks pace and strength, whcih allowed City to tackle early. No idea if it is really necessary to have the same player three times. Barcelona and Real got the creativity in the middle and pace&trickery on the wings + some guys who can score, we only got a bit of all of these three fuckin times, but nothing to complement that. I would gladly trade one of our maestros for bale or sanchez who simply get past the defender every fuckin time without being bullied off the ball cos they are too fast, even though they are overrated twats, but they can run and shoot. When Lamps returns, we will be fine.
  15. Chris Foy got about any small decision wrong, which hugely affected the game but was right on all significant ones. City were too strong for us physically. 0-0 about right result even though we were the better side. Luiz was superb at the back today.
  16. no danger at all, our attacking movement is crap
  17. lee marvin should have booked zabaleta there. where's te point hitting a freekick from 40+ yards direct? only one who can score from there is not on the pitch.
  18. yep. they beat us in the 1-on-1s cos they are stronger and they always get into the 1-on-1s cos they are faster.
  19. i mean lee marvin blows everytiem s.o. goes to ground when it changes nothing to the run of play, but when it gets serious he blows nothing.
  20. ha, the ref looks like Lee Marvin, but he should find his line.
  21. ha. you can tell dzeko is former bundesliga player. he has done all his homework but incapable of improvising at speed. We own City technically but they own us physically. A pity cos I still don't buy that tiqi-taqa stuff. I'd rather have a side with strengthin the middle, pace on the flanks around some outstanding allrounders.
  22. that is the problem with mikel. your cms have 1. to distribute 2. to get the ball back 3. to cover the ground to limit spaces. Mikel does 2. , Ramires 3. but neither is a decent distributor. so we either need s.o. who can distribute and either defend or run OR we need to play a mid three with lamps who can do 1. Imagine what a counter attack machine we would be with a player who could play precise passes from build-up play
  23. our passing in build up is always so unprecise, provoking all sorts of danger. esp ramires, iva nd luiz should pay attention here
  24. We clearly are the better side, technically but we lack the steel jt and lamps provide and i think that will continue to haunt us
  25. ???? You miss the point. This is an other problem now. First you argued he does not fit in a 4-2-3-1. There you got a point, cos his position does not exist in that system. now you say he is not better than mata or oscar for a 4-3-3. That is an entirely different question. Fact is his natural position is one of the two rather advanced midfielders in a mid 3. ------Mikel---- Rami--Lamps Is our best midfield imo. Of course lamps should not play every game and then you can put Oscar in his position, but there always has to be some rotation. You could also play both of them against smaller teams, resting Ramires etc. Anyway Mata should be nowhere near the middle of park. Yes he does get back sometimes to collect the ball but only when we are on the front foot and he has space. Mata is midget weakling with no acceleration at all. Against physically superior players he get bullied of the ball as we have seen too often already. The mid 3 listed above would play our 3 best CMs in the roles they are best at. Mikel in behind, relieved of offensive duties, only calming our play, playing simple passes, Lamps helping our attack with his vision and outstanding playmaking abilities + improving our conversion rates drastically, Ramires being all over the place with his tireless legs hence providing either double cover for lamps or making runs himself. This has to be a fuckin joke, bro. How can the greatest player in Chelsea history be overrated?
