  1. well that goal was unexpected but wont change anything i fear.
  2. i dont get the false 9. it was conte's downfall and never ever worked. Especially against superior teams a player liek grioud who can collect high balls and keep them is paramount. no idea what sarris is playing at. counter attack vs a team way faster in body and mind than us?
  3. absolute disgrace. cant keep a ball to save our lives. why bother pressing when they cut through us like a hot knife. i know they are better than us but with the midfielders we got we should not get overrun like that. horrible team selection. adn the players are no better panicking all the time when one in a million times they win a tackle. set up to fail and the players executing that perfectly
  4. What has fifa to do with it anway? I think we need to abandon fifa and uefa asap and Organize things on a club to club or associazion to association basis. And i think it will happen sooner or later
  5. but every goalscoring wi ger will at some point become an inverted one. Dont think it will be different with pulisic. The way modern football is set up with overlapping fullbacks makes traditional wingers redundant
  6. while you are spot on with point 2 and 3, I do not quite like the comparison to Alonso. Alonso is just a below-average defender who likes to hang around the opposition's box and thus happens to score or assist goals every once in a while. Then he gets his Motm and everyone is talking what a great leftback he is. And that is because he is ok at scoring goals for a defender but moreso because every pundit out there is too lazy to assess a what a left-back actually has to do in a game when most oppositions we play are too shit to actually exploit his torrid tactical game. Bakayoko on the other hand actually gets those MOTM awards for the player he acutally is supposed to be. A combative DM. So as Baka, opposite to Alonso, actually has the necessary skills to be good at his job but has a different problem - he is a confidence player. Remember those 10m passes he put out for a throw in under no pressure or those extremely late tackles? Cant tell me is not capable of doing these things right. He just was too afraid. ACtually he is more like Morata. Both more or less have the physical and techncial qualities for their positions but blow hot and cold because of their mental consitution. And with both being in their mid 20ies i think it is too late to expect a quick fix to that. Football is a business where young men have to be able to withstand a certain kind of pressure. Make a decision in no time and execute it perfectly with millions watching. Few people are cut out for this and it is only natural many guys never really adapt to it. Moreover, I think the problem with both of them also is that even if there was some magic trick to fix their confidence issues forever and Baka and Morata were always on top form, IMO they still would be just about good enough. When we recall Morata's and Bakas best matches against oppositions who actually put on a fight not sth like that game were we waltzed Stoke from minute 1, were they really brilliant? IMO they weren't. Say Morata vs ManU when he scored the winner or Baka vs Atletico away. Thsoe were good performances but if that is the best you can get out of them on top form IMO that is not enough.
  7. ugghh you are right. so if we sign him that has to mean Hazard is gone... well thats not so good then.
  8. I can actually see this happening. Dortmund are dissatisfied with his progress and have enough players in that position. Also he is the biggest star in US soccer which is ou rmain foreign market so I can definitely see this making sense froma n ecnomic point of view even for 70m. I think he is decent enough but IMO not more talented than e.g. Kenedy or Bertrand Traore (both similar playing style and equally strongly left-footed) who we are/were happy to sell. But we need a RW, a left-footed one would be great too and I can still see him becoming a very good player if given the chance.
  9. No data is such a petulant little sissy it hurts just watching. That's probably why people prefer giroud. He is just as average a striker but at least a proper lad.
  10. We have like 6 players with 5 or more goals in all comps now. Really sharing them around.
  11. Luiz is harsh cos he had some legendary games and wondergoals at his first time around and his first season under Conte was immense too.
  12. Lolol that looked like he did it on purpose
  13. NOw Alonso's bad positioning has almost cost us a goal. what has to happen that he gets dropped?
  14. Barkleys injured. I would bring on RLC and Emerson.
  15. Kovacic, Giroud, Alonso have been shit for sure tho. Azpi's offensive impact very decent this time tho
  16. Two sitters? Those were difficult chances. And we know for our is a shot finisher but that is not why he is in the team. Alonso right now is shit at everything
  17. Look at his position just before the end of the half. Instead of creating space with a run down the left Alonso takes up Hazards position driving even more Fulham player back
  18. Does not surprise me. Always loved Giroud as a players always plays for the team. The Goals he scores now are just a nice bonus. Hazard surely will eat his words i remember him stating that he was not happy about signing a siege tower striker initially.
  19. Depends i guess. Lots of places here are very chill. Also Austrians are really relaxed and level headed very different to Swiss and Germans. But in the Germany you earn decent money, life costs are low and have a pampered welfare state too. Surely I would trade that for the sun of Andalusia or Algarve if i needn't the work here. How about Slovenia btw? From the outside it sounds perfect. Sea, Alps, free educazion, decent healthcare, people speak English or even German, not overpopulated, not poor but also not expensive.
  20. tbf that ricocheted into his feet from 2 yards with some power and a wicked spin. But ofc a natural striker would instinctively set himself up to give him a better chance of scoring. I remember Lampard scoring that exact same chance at least 3 times from the top of my head, including a winner at Everton. Morata really should not have become a striker, just not cut out for it. If he had received the correct education he could have become a good winger with his pace and off-the ball movement which tbf is not too bad.
  21. Having been in Munich a lot for work I can say that the charm wears off after some time. It is super expensive compared to the rest of Germany and locals are often rather conceited. Shops close at 8 pm and the with everything being so polished, voiceless minorities who disturb the illusion of idylle like Beggars, Sinti&Roma, drug-addicts are pushed around by the police instead of being properly supported. But if you are rich and narrow-minded it is probably one of the best places on earth. So perfect for most Bayern players. The rest of Bavaria on the other hand is really beautiful landscape-wise and the farer away from the tourist hotspots the more grounded and friendly people are. Would not want to live in the middle of nowhere there either tho. Best places to live are probably somewhere in the middle like Augsburg, Würzburg or Nürnberg.
  22. Köln resigned Modeste for free. Immediately able to feature. Could have been a more than solid stopgap until a good striker comed available
