I do not really see that. I would like to see heatmaps if there were any. Mount is pretty much playing the same Box to box role lamprd did. Also Ashley Cole and Wayne Bridge pushed up high a lot just as Chilwell. And Lampard played e.g. with young Robben on the wing who had a lot less positional discipline than Werner, who is often enough found at our own corner flag. Additionally, Lampard played double pivot from 2012 onward so basically a dm and still scored a lot more than Mount does now. Mount is just not very effective yet at the Tools a midfielder has for scoring goals which are long shots and late runs. Lampard mastered those. He didn’t need to attack the box all game but made it count when he did. Maybe one day Mount will master them too. Regardless of position.

I would not mind him being banned just so that Utd are at a disadvantage. Obviously racist language should be punished. In the German language there are kinds of nick names that refer to colour (not skin colour) tho. Bendebaini is a player I think would struggle in PL. he is more technical and not very quick. While perfect for Gladbach and Bundesliga I think he would not adequately replace Chilwell with his not so expansive style

I like that he is so combative. An all action player who always gives his all and seldom has a game pass him by. Always wants to be involved whether in attack or defence. Barkley and RLC had their chances. He should be next in line

The thing is as good as he looked today, he really is not scoring enough shots. He takes a lot and very seldom scores. but Imagine 22 yo frank Lampard in these situation he sure scored those back in the day. Mount just lacks the power albeit his technique is good and he usually places it well

He really should have scored today. If he was any less clumsy he could have scored a couple. We really won’t win close games like rhisbone vs big sides with him leading the line. His overall performance was not even bad, he pressed well and his dribbling has improved. But if the ball is not played cleanly into him he lacks the skill, body control and composure to score. He missed two easy headers and for the diagonal he hit the ground with no contact before the ball even arrived. Being a tall guy myself I know it’s difficult for us to control our limps when improvising a volley or sth like that but for a pro athlete who is practising it all day he really should be less clumsy

Not so sure if Mourinho is thatmuch of an advantage for spuds. Lampard knows every page of Mou's book. Clearly was evident everytime they faced each other. the only exception maybe being last30 mins in the league cup but even then we had more than enough chances to put the game to bed. Son+Kane is what i fear about spuds. They are on fire, perfect age, fit, know each other inside out and in great form. we need to control midfield and cut the supply to them. I think our midfield is way better than theirs anyway. Even our defence should be so it will come down to our resilience and ability to finish them off. Chances will be there.
