I would say Sevilla field the stronger team relatively seen but our has overall still more individual quality. But this backbone will be error prone and it has no real dm protecting it, so I guess we will get lots of pressure. At least our wingers are so pacy we can retaliate quickly

I do not really see that. I would like to see heatmaps if there were any. Mount is pretty much playing the same Box to box role lamprd did. Also Ashley Cole and Wayne Bridge pushed up high a lot just as Chilwell. And Lampard played e.g. with young Robben on the wing who had a lot less positional discipline than Werner, who is often enough found at our own corner flag. Additionally, Lampard played double pivot from 2012 onward so basically a dm and still scored a lot more than Mount does now. Mount is just not very effective yet at the Tools a midfielder has for scoring goals which are long shots and late runs. Lampard mastered those. He didn’t need to attack the box all game but made it count when he did. Maybe one day Mount will master them too. Regardless of position.

I would not mind him being banned just so that Utd are at a disadvantage. Obviously racist language should be punished. I know he argued that the term he used was not intended to refer to colour of skin but just as a term of endearment. I do not know if that is true. In the German language there are kinds of nick names that refer to colour (not skin colour) tho. But as a person of public interest you should stay away from language that is only in the vicinity of offending someone. Cavani as a seasoned pro should now that.

Yeah but Mason scored the bulk of his goals in weak eredivisie whilst lamps scored them at top level. admittedly it is a steep bechmark esp as there are not many goalscoring midfielders around apart from Penandes these days. But whats the point of taking shots if you don’t have the Power to score them. We need a player who can threaten from range to have an extra dimension to our play . Right now we don’t have one

Bendebaini is a player I think would struggle in PL. he is more technical and not very quick. While perfect for Gladbach and Bundesliga I think he would not adequately replace Chilwell with his not so expansive style
