We have been terrible but pool has been really good. Completely suffocating any of our efforts and that goal was a quality finish. At this point we are just no match for them. Still would have been a different game if the ref was not corrupted
-
The ref is just a joke. How we are 1-0 down after we should have had a pen, that might be handball , ridiculous yellow
-
Ridiculous refereeing until livarpool score. Business as usual
-
True but when you look at the quality of goals esp guirassy has scored that is still ingenious forward play. Great movement, nice crisp finishes and some really clever improvisation. The ability is there. However I do concede that his previous record and history of bad misses is a sign Guirassy is a confidence player and stuttgart indeed have managed to make him feel at home to unleash his full potential . Ideally we would find someone who is just so settled mentally and naturally unshakable-confident that he can shut out all the shit that is going on at our club and still score reliably. Our terrible conversion record at the club is a sure sign that most of our current players Fall well short here.

Complete waste of time. But at least the defence and Petrovic were ok. As good as palmer is, reminds me of how much I hate false 9 systems. Not sure if I hate them more than seeing Broja up front.
-
At least we are consistent. One 100m+ flop per window
-
Which should not be the case as it was a cruise
-
Hot and cold palmer with his alternating of clinical and wasteful business. Still so young tho, so understandable overall this is again the kind of typical Chelsea performance of the first half of our season

timing is perfect He will obviously become Germany national team manager after the euros. That has somehow always been his end game. Tbh I am looking forward to this. We have highly talented players who are mostly half assed dimwits. If Klopp is not the right person to get them excited to play for their country no one is. I know most of you fellow Blues dont like him. He is a sore loser and a bit of a hypocrite. But as a German, knowing him from his time in Mainz and Dortmund two of the more likeable traditional clubs, I can totally understand why he is revered as a God in Liverpool and well respected back home. If you count how many managers we have had during his time at Liverpool it is easy to think we could have won so much more with someone like him. He is in the end a decent manager from the sporting side but also a ppl person so having him in the club instantly improves boosts mood and culture. He also has a clear footballing philosophy that he has never compromised on. With his ability to get players fully on board he has always brought key elements for longtime success or at least stability.

cant be worse than caicedo but lavia did not exactly spend loads of time with pep
-
He is indeed very promising. Already delivering amidst the total chaos and shambles the club is in. Great maturity and mental fortitude at a young age. If he stays injury free he may well become our main man. Almost all our great successes in the past have come with a goal/assist source from midfield with either Lampard or Hazard regularly outshining the designated strikers. also a prime example of how every blind dog has its day in terms of Clownlakes scattergun transfer strategy.

Now we are likely to make it a 6th straight loss in a domestic cup final, 3 rd in a row vs Liverpool (4th counting the super cup , all on penalties) . So hope Fulham do us a solid here
-
Isaiah jones is actually their only right winger. Won’t stop Poch from rolling out Chilly as our left winger again to counter whatever threat may come from certified baller Matt crooks stumbling down that side. Already so excited to see Chilly cutting inside with a centre back playing on the overlap. Let him cook🙈

Smh In fact it is more like we are brightons garbage collection
-
Good summary. As most probably suspected, this batch of youth players does not have the quality to make it here or even at lower top tier level. Our scouting dep now is a far cry from the guys that got us kdb, Salah, courtois etc. this is why I am quite apprehensive of shedding out huge sums for uncertain prospects like messinho
-
Tbf we got him for free and squeezed 2.5m out of Lyon as loan fee so we might make a profit on him overall if we just sell him. he always looked like a nothing player like most of the teens Boehly signed
-
I don’t think it’s allowed to own two teams in the same league.
-
Precisely. We are doing the exact opposite of what bvb do. They buy little known players cheap or promote from their youth and sell them after they increased their market value by integrating them in a functioning unit with experienced mentors and a clear football identity that allows them to shine on the other hand, we buy flavour of the month hype boys at the all-time peak of their career valuation and tank their market value by aimlessly cramming them in a dysfunctional pool of other such nine-day wonders within a club in disarray and no existing identity whatsoever
-
Good move for him. His ego needs a place where he is revered and it is not as much of a downgrade as ferencvaros or some headchoppers toy
-
Statistically passing for a goalie does not matter if inaccurate passes are leading straight to goals as has been the case with Sanchez but not Petrovic. both seem to be good reflex shot stoppers, have good reach and decent record on pens but Petrovic just makes fewer errors . He is not perfect but solid enough for me. Definitely should keep his place on merit even when big Rob is fit again
-
As Boehly & co have the football competence of a 10 yo in his first season of fifa career mode, it is very much plausible they are tempted to hire him now
-
They are likely both perma wrecked. Nkunku has always been injury prone but our incompetent medical staff likely aggravated things. Lavia seems like they ruined him. If a players get injured by a little knock on his debut he was not adequately conditioned
-
I don't see any other option. Todd is not someone to buy an experienced player as stop gap and Nkunku if fit is our only genuine experienced option who can playas CF provided he is not perma wrecked with his injuries now. Surely that has to be sartire. Not even Boehly is stupid enough to buy Evan ferguson for 120m. Then again, we think would think that our 100m+ guys like Enzo and Caicedo are obvious flops and we massively overpaid but I doubt Boehly sees it this way. His knowledge of football is far too limited to really ascertain what a good performance is. He just looks at the numbers - Enzo and Caicedo start almost every game - and thinks "tick, great transfer". Rinse and repeat till the whole squad is loaded with overpriced 22 y.o. trash. Tbf Bayern are smart enough to not grant him every wish so they only loaned Dier. Actually for managers like TT it might be smart in general to not ever buy any players they request and try to get loans like this one. Just buy Mbappe then while we are at it. We all know it's rather hell freezing over.

First half of the season City looked saturier and void of ideas . Kdb makes a huge difference. Have to change my mind. The treble is definitely in reach for them again.
-
The game was a bit of an odd one. I and bought we defended well overall both individually and collectively. So did Fulham. In attack we are obviously still clueless with the last pass but at least forced a pen. You could say it papered over the cracks but you could also say we finally seem to learn how to grind out results. the last few minutes obv were a shot show again thanks to Cntony Taylor. We just can’t give the guy excuses to hand the opposition chances but look at how pissed he was thieve saw it out. Priceless .
