  1. Just minutes after announcing their interest, Burnley have apparently pulled out of their pursuit for Ross Barkley.
  2. I think his decline in form is greatly exaggerated. He did not turn out the player he was promised to be 5 years ago and pretty much stagnated. I guess his attacking instics were curbed by playing too long under simeone. Yet he remains a technically accomplished player, very versatile with tactical nous and discipline. And i don't think ppl will be triggered to much if this is not a success, after all it is just a loan so far.
  3. More good news, Burnley going in for Barkley. But just a loan. Dudes, he was twiddling his thumbs all summer waiting for you but i guess leaving it this late is just part of the circus. All for the entertainment deadline days deals and shit like that.
  4. Can see this going so well. There is never a guarantee, but if he accepts this challenge his quality should shine through. He knows how to grind in a defensive system yet he is a technical maestro. has no signficant weaknesses, can defend and attack. Not exactly SFL but can bang in a few long rangers and time his late runs. His only really oustanding strength is probably his ball control and dribbling but his completeness alone makes him stand out from our midfielders. My absolute favourite goal of his, completely fell from the sofa when it went in
  5. Your preference for slow ass scrawny guys is hilarious. You really think Marcos Alonso is the best LWB for a 3-4-3? Really cracked me up
  6. We don’t need Kounde Saul was 100 times more important great deal with cheap loan fee and buy option. Well done Marina The number of twists in these deals shows that even guys like Romano are not always 100% reliable
  7. So? At least Chilwell is in the squad. alonso is not even in the worst spain squad in ages. Alonso was terrible vs Liverpool, his short patch of form is clearly over.
  8. Have to strongly disagree. Chilwell is miles better than Alonso at wingback and as a player overall. alonso just looks competent for this short purple patch of his and will return to being an absolutely shitty useless sloth sooner rather than later. Chilwell is our most complete wingback. Defensively aware and offensively more of constant threat than RJ without the amoung of defensive errors. I am pretty sure it is just fitness concerns that make him sit out not that he has been displaced by alonso. Also if Alonso was not the problem, he would not need an upgrade in the first place so your assessment is off a bit.
  9. On a serious note he showed lack of awareness for the goal. Without his stupid jump into Mendy it would not have happened. Chilwell was not called up for NT and I hope he uses the time in extra training to catch up on fitness and displace Alonso. His form has gradually decreased since the palace game and probably will be back to normal in the next few games .
  10. The yanks are now on it as well. NBC reporting we are close to agreement with Atlético
  11. If we still desperately need a CB after deadline day, we can always sign the slightly less stupid Boateng brother on a free.
  12. Barkley has not even received a squad number so will surely leave and i doubt we are still planning with RLC
  13. Sky Sports Germany reiterated what the Athletic wrote. There was an agreement over 50m which Sevilla bailed on. Really bade style. Should not do business with these jokers. Honestly would be the dream. Kounde move falling apart and Saul still signing. Can't see it happening but it's crazy season so who knows.
  14. Where did you read that ? Surely just a portion
  15. He could have done a good job here. Really disappointed it did not materialise. He has no such glaring weaknesses and probably would have taken to the team like a fish tk water given the similarities of the styles
  16. No last minute buy out clause deals with spanish clubs for players who are unusually short for their position. We have made such bad experiences with this that we should refrain from this business altogether, even if the similarities between the deals end there.
  17. No we would be held to ransom by a club that does not pay fair. if they think they can change the goalposts, we walk away. Never wanted the midget in the first place
  18. Maybe we should let one of the dregs stay to make up the numbers if we really want another cb for cover. Esp if we let CHO leave on loan, we might be forced ot use RJ as RWB only and Azpi there more as well. In general I am not too worried about quality due to the versatility of our players but it is a long ass season so we do need the numbers.
  19. Not really....we are Chelsea, we don't give a fuck how much we pay for some inferior player. I understand you can't tell the difference between that and celebrating an actual title. But other than your club, we have recently won a couple and trust me those celebrations were quite different. Also why should reliable outlets make up that verbal agreement? Let's take your position for a moment and not believe anything we read in the media and there is no deal on the cards for the midget. What business you have here then?
  20. I strongly doubt Bayern will sell Süle this late in the window plus they hate doing business with us.
  21. Just get Lacroix for half the dough. Far better player, instrumental for the current Bundesliga leaders who unlike Sevilla have not drawn against some joke team that literally translates to "moose" in German.
  22. I don’t think it would have changed much. His technical deficiencies are down to his talent not his injury. He would have played more during his time here but he never would have been the right player for the current system. He just was born too late. In the Good old 2000s he would have been one of the best old fashioned cbs. Monster in the air strong tackler always fighting. A guy to rival Vidic or JT. Ball playing cbs are all the rage nowadays at top clubs so players like him have to ply their trade elsewhere. He still is a premier league and champions league winner so he will have no regrets
  23. Isn’t the window for loans longer? I guess most will just leave on loan
  24. Strangely confident we will sign Kounde as well and for under 60m. Maybe kante injury has given new lease of life to midfielder efforts
  25. He's got played enough at DM tho to fill in there.
