Sure he would, 3 probably. he usually scores in clusters vs shit teams. Has always been his thing but we would have looked a lot less fluent and more frustrating with the chance creation. He makes us way more predictable

Kai and RLC need to score still on o make this a perfect day
-
Exactly. Saul has not warranted any trust
-
Tbf that red was deserved he hit em way over the top
-
TT does not even trust Saul when 5-0 up
-
It is a different story playing with him or 3 technically proficient fleet footed AMs
-
Chilwell so becoming Alonso. Suspect at the back but regularly banging them in with that sweet left foot.
-
Nvm lol
-
True but I fear TT is gonna let his buddy farke off the hook and spare him a humiliation
-
Mendy is just such a beast
-
Auch a comfortable game loving it all goals made in Chelsea academy😍

Interesting lineup. AC gets a rest, good to have Thiago and Toni back. Surprised not to see RLC in there after his good performance vs Brent Ford but I guess we are playing it safe here. Front 3 picks itself. hoping for some good chemistry

Newcastle is never an easy game. Hate playing there

More intl games with nations league and shit results in more int. breaks. This next one is the last for a few months but it is the normal schedule now. The impact of nations league has been mitigated a bit by the delayed euros so we had half a year without qualifiers but now fans really feel the impact of uefa/fifa greed.

I could imagine PSG or Real don't even care about how Rüdiger looks outside this system. Their transfer policy basically is just throwing money at big names. If they can avoid another counterparty in the deal even better. Everybody with half a football brain could have said that e.g. Hazard never really fitted their playing style under Zidane but Real sign players first and ask questions later. They do it more for their brand than for thier

We can't swap him, he is out of contract in summer. We have absolutely 0 leverage in this situation. No idea how reliable DiMarzio is these days but it seems his head has been turned, there is nothing we can do about it. We will lose a big character in the dressing room but I do not think it will be a problem to replace him as a player. There are tons of quality options available on the transfer market.

Weird game, did not expect us to start with basically our strongest team bar one or two. Obviously palyed Timo and Rom to pad their stats and it massively backfired in our faces. On the other hand we are now relieved of getting our two misfiring strikers' confidence up for some time so maybe can concentrate on improving our attacking play as a team. Noticed Jorginho improved his pen technique with a more truncated hop that allows him to build more power. Other than that not such a noteworthy game given how poor our opponents were. Were clinical enough to see us through without breaking a sweat. Onwards and upwards.
-
Watch us look like a proper team again now. However we will struggle to break down stubborn defences without him again. Defenders will feel a lot more comofrtable facing CHO or Kai instead of big Rom.
-
I thought it would be worth to just keep him around as some kind of mascot. Just let him make marketing tours through Murica for the rest of his contract. He would probably pay his wages in revenues we generate from the yank market. And as long as he is injured the us fanboys at least don't make a fuss about why he is not playing.

But wasn't he the most advanced mdifielder in a midfield 3 vs Brentford as well? we played 3-5-2 so this is as close as it gets for a midfield 3 in a 3atb system Anyway, we had a lot of defending to do this game so naturally he had to stay back a lot but his main strength is driving through midfield whic makes a box-to-box role the most suited.

Ideal game for Lukaku and Werner to pad their stats. It is also a must win, so probably no second string. Hope to see more attacking fullbacks maybe even CHO. Not sure about Rüdigers, silva's fitness so maybe give Sarr and Trev another go. Jorginho should surely come back in.
-
Looks like he is back to his best. Already outscored Alonso with a goal per game since his comeback. He also took up some Alonso-esque positions during the match, including for his goal. Maybe there is a quality wing back in him after all
-
On the line and in the air he probably is the best. Also a very brave man. In a game where some Brentford players spend ages on the floor after having been touched by RLC's should, Mendy being hit by a venomous shot in the face just needs a bit of a breather and gets up like a boss to make another world class save. Gives me Edwin van der Sar vibes. Comes to a big club at an advanced footy age but does not kick a fuss about it and just delivers week in week out. Let's hope can carry on just as long.

He is still pointless, no real improvement in terms of output after sporadic purple patches in the last few seasons. It really is a shame. If this guy could finish he would be absolute world class. The only reason to sign him would be bc he is so damn entertaining to watch but if you have to support him his mazy runs ending in a shot to Row Z will be frustrating rather. Wolves counter-attacking system gets the best out of him, I do not see him flourish in our conservatively defensive, posession-based system. We fail to make use of our quick players so he really would be wasted here.
-
He is head and shoulders above the rest of their defence and probably most other defenders in Bundesliga. He has the ability to patch up defensive errors of others with his pace and last-ditch defending, making Wolfsburg look better defensively than they are but he is also beginning to show that he can be the organisational leader of the defence. We really should be all over him, even if Rüdiger stays. IMO he has the ability to play any position in a back 3 or in a cb pairing. Will be among top10 cbs globally by 2024 latest. shit is, Wolfsburg made him sign another contract last month till 2025 so now he is a lot more expensive than he would have been last summer. Today has shown that TT can make even average defenders work in his system but put skillful, combative freak-athlete like Lacroix in there he will look an absolute beast.
