Right now, i feel relaxed about that my grade in this one class, and arguably a very important part of my future is exactly in my hands and no body else's. If i fail it will be on me, and that's the best thing i can hear.

You'd have to elaborate on what you define as "weakness in the air", if you mean weakness in terms of high profile saves where you fly, or coming out for long balls and punching them out, then even at that, i can't believe he has a weakness in that area, because i cant really see him repeatedly fail, in any area. Maybe there are aspects in which some are better than him, but weakness for me is defined as an actual LIABILITY.I can say though that i am not of the clan that consider casillas to be better than guys like buffon or kahn @ prime. Simply put ( i can elaborate more if you want) technically casillas just isnt as agressive or imposing as the two buffon or kahn, casillas kinda waits in expectation, while you can feel the other two are like rabid dogs or warriors, just different. Casillas once said that he is more of a kind of a goalkeeper that waits in expectation, i'll look for the quote incase you cant visualize what i try to say. @ caprisccioso, i will read that in a bit when i have time for such a long thing i have read articles from there before. @ TorontoChelsea, ill keep things short.. My big love in football is real madrid. It has been for years, it is because of them that i got into football, and zidane was a big part as to why i got into real madrid, and hence the huge cycle. Nothing will replace madrid, so after saying that, why have i started to engage in support for chelsea? Their might be many reasons, and there are, but simply put it is because i am interested in seeing their football, their players, their culture, i have an affinity for them, i want to learn more about english football, italian football ( hence why i support juventus), i dont just pick a team and support it, i have my reasons, expansive ones such as affinity, yearning of education, and just for the plain entertainment. Real Madrid is my love, but Chelsea and Juventus are my little affinities...its like real madrid is the heart in my body, and the other two are my lungs, in a body made to live football. ( I plan to engage in sports management, to some day lead a team as a manager or be in another management position , i have the tools to do so ). I'm kinda open minded -
There are basic facts in the torres deal here. The truth of the matter is that chelsea don't lose anything by letting torres go. The club and the fans want to see torres shine because they dont want to see the operation as a failure, but the price tag and his history made it so before he stepped foot in chelsea football club. No body will ever be all too satisfied with him. I think that the argument that ( chelsea are rich enough) chelsea should buy a guy like falcao or cavani, is a pretty sound one. They are in great form, and can probably bring in results, while torres brings nothing more than instability, doubt, and etc. If i had a certain type of control where i could control things, i would let torres go, and bring in someone who i find capable enough of doing a good job. This torres thing is getting old.

dam u guys have new computers, and amazing backgrounds. Im jelly. Here's mine.

You guys make too much of it. In world football there is no more controversy than real madrid vs barcelona. Fans from both sides have to take a hole lot of Bullcrap, but one thing ive learned, and that everybody should learn, in kindergarden even is that you shouldnt care for what is dismissable. Let these piss heads talk, in the end, what do you guys care about their opinion for? For a long time now, i base my thoughts on madrid logically and reasonably, dont let these clowns get under your skin... Chelsea in a certain context got lucky, and shouldnt have won, thats fact under a certain context, you also have to learn how to view things from different views. Chelsea's road to cl gold was fairy tell like, theres this ony guy in these forums that has a quote on his sig, stating how ballack said the cl would be won when least expected, and thats what happened. Have thicker skin guys.

International Competitions Good Any More?
Zinedine Iniesco replied to Justin_3d's topic in Football Chat
Yep everyone has their own reason for liking things and thinking things are a certain way.I stated that i found the thread title to be a bit redundant, or bleak because of the fact that personally i take it as if the question is asking in a general form, when in fact it is based upon opinion. International football declines or does whatever, when compared to something else, you get it? A better thread title would have been simply..Club Glory Vs International Glory..because for some people international football has been almost non existant, i think i make my point -
International Competitions Good Any More?
Zinedine Iniesco replied to Justin_3d's topic in Football Chat
Ya because there's actually something to care for. Some people will feel happy just for the pure "patriotism", as big or minuscule as it might be. I will always feel good and happy, even ecstatic possibly if U.S.A, Germany, Or Spain win the world cup, and happy if they win other internationals like the euro cup, and etc, i have soft spots for many teams, countries. It's all about what someone cares about. Nothing has changed really. International or Club football, its all about the individual, thats why the thread title question seems a bit redundant in a way to me. Real Madrid winning the cl above anything else. Winning La Liga MAYBE < Germany winning world cup. -
International Competitions Good Any More?
Zinedine Iniesco replied to Justin_3d's topic in Football Chat
It all depends on the individual of course. Personally my country is crap internationally, has no major history in football, and i feel no patriotism compared to other people, in certain contexts anyways. 70 percent of the reason i watch football is because of real madrid, albeit i love the beautiful game. Maybe i should bring the 70 down to 60 or even 50 percent, but anyhow the champions league has always been the priority for me. I feel that as a fan, the idea of real madrid winning the cl is much more important than seeing the teams i follow internationally ( germany, spain) win the world cup, albeit its always special. International football has arguably always been the same, in the end it comes down to personal liking and taste. For me international football is there, simply put. Just There, its great. But cl football and real madrid is above all. As a player i'd even prefer cl glory i dare say, but it depends on what country i'd represent in world cup. Im not a player though. Cl is king. -
By the way i would find it interesting to know who it is that has "owned" chelsea the most throughout history.Which player has made the most damage in matches against chelsea? Do you have a say? Vs madrid its probably messi.
-
We all know how great he is, albeit some have different opinions engaged because of emotional attachments to their own club.He did amazingly well, it was an exhibition of skill, the media's job is to inform and entertain, who cares about it, you rate him the way you want, but dont try to downplay his performance based on alleged overating.

I always like to support cr7's quest for the balon d or, explaining how the guidelines for winning it ( team impact, season performance, impact on team success, trophies) help cr7 stand tall in the race, but in the end, without those guidelines, we just stand here with the truth and that is the fact that Messi is a superior footballer to cr7. Either the balon d or is given to the wide consensus best player in the world, or it is given to the one with the most impressive meeting of the guidelines. but either way cr7's la liga triumph and goals might not be enough, they are fair and square, but even if cr7 does win, he's not the "best". For cr7 to win it for sure he should have gone to cl final, win it, and score a goal while at it. It's still close due to season performance, but messi might win it still because he's that good. Pichihi of europe and spain. Messi proves hes the best almost every time hes in the pitch, and even by using my guidelines for success, messi wins it. Messi for the balon d or. Its close though, but im calling messi the winner. Cr7's la liga title is his only hope.

Or you can download it in hd in rojadirecta. Its probably miles better if you record it though. For future reference though, if anyone wants to download full matches, search rojadirecta on google. Thats where every youtube videomaker gets the footage from.

I liked what you said about pele, but apart from that you sound a bit angered and ridiculous, or better said "over the top".You state some "truth", but there is a truth for everyone, no one is perfect.
-
And let me just say, that there is nothing wrong with maradona, or cr7, or pele, being arrogant. In this world everything a person does is for self benefit, they might not care for being idols or figures for younger children to admire, and for societies' social values and morals to revere, or they might indeed, but as long as their happy with them selves then good for them, those who dont like it can either learn to understand it or keep moaning. Pele and Maradona have acted like clowns and nothing else when it comes to talking about each other by the way. Pele says some funny sht sometimes, like "maradona can't score with his head, the one time he did, it was actually his hand". Guys are clowns, but whatever. And as for messi, in this world no one will ever do anything BUT nitpick at something until they find something to complain about. Messi is top notch, and you try to give me an argument that doesn't sound stupid or childish to bring him down "big time". Pele and Maradona both had great teams, and its harder nowadays to attempt to single handedly do something for your team but some just dont like to understand that football is a team sport. Argentina sucks badly, only good thing is the attack, and thats not enough when you have teams like germany and spain up top.

I could go over on how your perspective on the whole issue is a bit bleak and uneducated but i wont waste my time doing so.The borg analogy makes sense if taken into the correct context. Yes he was past his prime, but he couldnt even make it into the top 1000's, the sport had left him, but you are far too narrow minded to try to make sense of it. In the end i will re-iterate my point. It is good to identify a player and rank his importance and impact during his own time, to others, but when it comes to 1v1's on different generations, the new generations will win. We can all talk about how one can adapt to the modern game ( i found your hypothesis rather bleak and even uneducated to a certain degree) but the facts are there. John Mcenroe, Borg, Lendl, playing the way they did in their prime, wouldnt touch today's stars, you could see it in the way they move and in the way they played, they used different technology, its almost apples and oranges. You could talk about how by pure talent they could adapt but thats hypothetical, im talking about reality, and the reality is that nadal would sweep any clay court player if just magically put in their. Same with football, madrid 1955-1960 would get thrashed by a today's elite, and so would the players of the past. We could talk about adaption, but realistically comparing one player set at one point and the other at another, today's heroes win. Pele is an arrogant joke, he was good, but its quite irrelevent to compare him to messi or cr7 for me, id bet my whole house down that, that exact same player would get banged hard by today's specimens, the comparison is reality. Dont bring his goals into account, makes you look silly. Nadal and Federer And Djokovic would trash Mcenroe,Lendl, Borg, Wilander Messi, Cr7, thrash the 40 year old memories. And i also bet a mansion that there is no possible reasonable or logical argument that you can make up to deny that. No one can, because its ( for some people) an inconvenient truth.

I understand you logic, but i see it as rather bleak and narrow minded, this thread is here and thats that.If anyone wants to make discussions about other teams then feel free to create threads about them. If the idea of this thread hurts you then ignore it. There are no rules other than your opinion regarding the reasoning behind an "official" thread dedicated to a club. -

That dark and gold kit by adidas looks good, but too similar to the kits worn by real madrid and la galaxy for away games. Whatever, i like it by if i get a jersey, ill get the home one. So delicious.

Most important indeed We won the first champions league ever, the last one of the twentieth century..we have always been riddled with great things. I hope with chelsea, this is just the beginning. Some of the spanish media has been making comparisons between chelsea's first cl win and barca's. The start of a "better" more successful direction for the club. -

European Super Cup? Damnit Well i hope to see them play again -
Gotze has done very well for borussia dortmund. Before anyone goes and makes brash comments, i recommend you try to watch videos of him, or weekly in bundesliga matches, he is very promising and i think he is making a good decision with staying with dortmund till 2014. It gives him time to show europe that he is ready, or that he will be by then anyways, to go to a "bigger" club. Gotze wont move until then, so its futile to compare to hulk in a realistic fashion anyways, concerning who could go to chelsea.

Messi is a great footballer, and the 09/10 balon d or will forever be debatable, but its case closed.Im open minded enough to accept and recognize a good player when i see one. My current favorite non real madrid player at the moment is actually andres iniesta, if i was a player i'd love to play like he does. My favorite player EVER is Zidane by the way, so i wont lose any respect to him either.

Well it's hard for them, even when they had great players, and even now, the most they can handle is 3rd spot.Theyve had guys like david villa, david silva, juan mata, roberto soldado, superstars, and they have all left. Valencia is in the end what i call a "Proud Feeder Club" They play well, but in the end feed their top talents to other teams. Soldado will stay though.
