  1. This game has 4-3 written all over it.
  2. Yeah lol, L2 then right stick right I think.
  3. It's all happening in this game. Suarez is annoying.
  4. Kick off is in exactly 3 hours and 23 mins from NOW.
  5. Todays the day... Feeling good that we can do it. The hardest match we will face yet, but if we could do it we would have a 7 point cushion on them which would be extremely nice. I wouldn't take a draw if we were offered one right now, but i don't think we could be unhappy if that is the result. Looking forward to us running at their defence, but not looking forward to them running at our defence. Could be a thriller... Prediction... 3-3
  6. Yeah i know what you meant and it is incredibly annoying, particularly as they will eventually come out of this slump without much of a scar to show for it.
  7. He was yes. And mackie just missed a sitter.
  8. He kicked out, but i am not sure he even touched vermaelan.
  9. Yeah he was shocking in midweek in the chmp league. Arsenal have been held so far, another 45 mins of that sounds good to me.
  10. Will probably hover over all the games tbh on soccer saturday. Thats the one i might watch though if i watch a strea i cant watch soccer saturday as because of the delay they tell you who scores before you see it, so it will probably be one or the other.
  11. We need someone who will convert those great chances that he has been getting. And its not like it has to be falcoa, but someone who is a clinical finisher. Even someone like defoe. He is a great finisher from around the box. If we had him upfront this season we would have scored a hell of a lot more. Our start of the season however has been extremely good in terms of results, but it won't be long when those one on ones will really matter and we don't want to see that happen. We can only ask torres to do his best, but if his best is not good enough for us then alternate options need to be found and as of right now that man is daniel sturridge. Now come on torres, prove us all wrong tommorrow.
  12. That used to be legal, then they changed the rules.
  13. No one is saying if we play sturridge then we will have the equivilant of falcoa, but you are not human if you do not get slightly frustrated at the number of wasted oppertunites we are having atm. These oppertunities could well be at a premium especially against the likes of man utd. Furthermore, no one is "hating" torres, everyone gets behind him all the way when he plays for us and i will be exactly the same when he starts on sunday as he puts in a lot of effort; and anyone who wears our shirt deserves our support. However, it has to come to a point where putting in a lot of effort, isn't good enough. Danny starting one game doesn't spell the end of torres, but means he knows that he has competition for places, (which all the football pundits seem to think doesn't exist) so giving danny a chance has surely got to be worth trying. Maybe a league game vs united isn't the best time to make as big a change as switching strikers, but a league cup game vs them would be the perfect time to give him 90 mins and then if he plays well he gets to start at the weekend.
  14. I don't think they are outlandish claims. We have seen what sturridge can do at striker from his loan spell at bolton. We have also seen his impact he has made in his rare appearances as sub. Most of the time he makes more of an impact than torres had done in his previous 75 mins on the pitch. And we can't really do a comparsion without giving him a chance. Also, he has grabbed some goals which everyone is glad at, however we do have hazard mata oscar behind him. As a trio that is probably up there in the top 4 AM trios in the world. As a lone striker with that creativity behind you, you should really be scoring goals. For me, it is clear who atm is the better out and out striker.
  15. Yeah that is a good point... I could well be wrong on that one. Though there arn't many of us who truly believe anyone other than torres will start at ST.
  16. Lol, but back on topic, i think if you ask a man u fan who would they prefer to see up top i would think they would prefer to see torres.
  17. Lets be honest... he would be a beast, though i would play him at CB. Also, that picture is so funny, earl boykins 5ft 5 130lbs, the shaq 7ft 1, 330 lbs. And thats nothing... Bougues 5ft 3, and Bol 7ft 7
  18. Ok, but in all honesty, we are most successful going down the middle or cutting inside from wide positions. We don't do as many standard crosses, and in general when we do they are unsuccessful as in comparison to defenders torres isn't that good in the air. For the 3 AM's we have there is a higher priority for players who will latch onto through balls and get shots off. RDM will go with torres because he knows what we get with him and we have a great record so far this year. Hoprfully torres turns up and does to man u what he used to when he played for liverpool, as we would all love it. You don't know how much i want to be proven wrong but I as a lot of people just feel the same way when torres gets the ball with time in a dangerous area.
  19. Didier was a beast in the air, because he was 6ft 2 and MORE IMPORTANTLY A BEAST IN THE AIR. If he was 6ft he would still have been a beast in the air, just a slightly shorter one... Case in point. Tim cahill is a heading machine but is 5 ft 11. Height doesn't make you useful in the air, unless your crouch in which case you have such an edge, jumping and heading ability doesn't matter as much. Also we are talking about a 1 inch difference. Its not like sturridge is 5ft 7.
  20. Why is everyone going on about height. They are both around 6ft... However none of them are drogba. Cech often hits it out wide to ivan to header it rather than straight down at torres. If you look man for man then sturridge has to start. Yes torres has been better this season than last, however we all know he has hardly lit anything up and has messed up every one on one. As i said in a different thread, torres is great atm IF he doesn't have to think about anything, i.e. his first touch shot vs newcastle, his goals scored from a header etc, however any time he has to think about what he is going to do, 90% of the time he either messes up his shot or slows doen so much he gets tackled. Danny is more selfish (he is a lone striker he is allowed to be), and he looks more threatning when he is on the pitch. He also looks like he can create something out of nothing and will be able to convert some of the chances Hazmat and oscar will create for us... And as for some talk about defensive qualities... If we are worrying about our lone strikers defensive duties then we have big problems. I want our striker to worry about scoring and creating chances not whether he is tracking back or putting in the effort running back. HOWEVER: We all know that none of it matters as RDM will play torres.
  21. Probably wont play a part on sunday but will get a start or make an apperance on tuesday... If he does play a part on sunday, that would be some game to make an appearance in.
