Still our best centre back easily... He isn't fast but our defence looks awful without him, and his leadership is greatly required. If he is fit he should play. No way he should leave this summer. The people wanting him to leave have short memories.

Jose is the dream and the return of the special one would be for want of a better word, "special". But Moyes would be great as well. Tbh, anyone who is not rafa will get my full backing and i can't wait for the day rafa leaves the club...

Keep the ball, high tempo, quick passes and lots of movement. Ba will probably play so we should be fine on the movement front. Should really tire them out and we should be able to break them down in theory without too many problems... "In theory".

If it was a hard game or a final or semi final then just winning is all that matters. And I would take just winning every game, but it doesn't work like that. We still have around 20 or so games this season and some form would be a great thing to have when we are battling for top 4. And atm our form is worrying...

But Cudicini has never been close to as good as Cech was and can Cech and courtois are both too good to be on the bench. Courtois can challenge him but do we want a situation where we are rotating goalkeepers?

I am not praising hazard, i just meant him or anyone in midfield when they run forward. Hazard was poor. Only bright spot was his link up with oscar, but he neither of them were very good tonight. BA up top would have helped as he would have challenged for all those long balls etc and made forward runs which would beneift the three behind.

Should be an easy game being at home vs brentford, but with us you never know. Would be nice to rest some key men, but rafa will probably play our best team then rest mata vs city and wonder why we get raped.

How Rafa can still prefer torres over ba is beyond me (I know ba can't play in europa)...

Someone tell me why when hazard or someone gets the ball with space in front of them and starts running into it, torres drops deep instead of making a run behind the defence... Isn't that what you learn at under 7 level. Then you create a chance through recieving a through ball or even if he doesn't pass it then it drags out defenders which creates more space for the man running with the ball.

Yeah i suppose so... I didn't want to come on here, as i was thinking it would spoil the 6-0 scoreline. What i should have done was just skip back to live action and watch the last 30 mins... But you live and you learn.

Just finished watching the game as i had to watch it with a 45 min delay because i had something to do and it was a pretty slow paced match with not much happenning. Torres offereed no movement and hazard and mata also had a quiet night. Marin was pretty good for 15 mins then it went a bit downhill. Lamps put in a lot of effort, though most resulted in a long range attempt. Then oscar came on and showed everyone how easy it was to break through with a quick 1 2 and a run. He has to be motm for that. Defence was solid enough thought they should have scored in the first half.

Well tonight, that is rafa's "rotation"... And we should be good enough for top 4 we are having a very bad run and seem to lack motivation atm for whatever reason. No one is gonna start crying if we get knocked out of the europa league but it doesn't mean we should just roll over. Today we have no prem match and brentford and if we cant beat them at home then our problems are worse than thought, no matter how many games we play before hand. Again no one thinks it is an ideal situation, and we should do things on a game by game basis. Rafa's approach will probably differ from what logic would dictate with him wanting silverware to try and keep his job, which is where a problem could lie, but what do you suggest, walking out there and telling petr to have a lay down or what?

The league is priority and how i would play in these games would depend on our situation in the league. I wouldn't be too annoyed if we were not in the competition to begin with, but we are and we have a chance of winning it. So its not ideal playing extra games before the matches, but we can rotate enough that it shouldn't be a problem. And i don't want us to get knocked out just so we don't have those few midweek games.

Well not the team i would have picked in the slightest.. But hopefully he will give mata a rest early if we can get the game won... On the brightside, hopefully a good win could give the whole team a bit of a lift and our next game is brentford..

? I said play a weakened team... Which means rest our key players. Prem is of the hugest importance. But i didn't know that playing a weakened team midweek will mean we can't get top 4, so we should just not bother... I might as well ask you, are you gonna be cheering for sparta then?

When someone says, its more embarrasing to try than to get knocked out that kinda suggests that we shouldn't try to win it.
