  1. Was sensational tonight. Scored 2 and assisted 1 and was a menace all game with his trickery and dribbling. He just needs to deliver on a consistent basis because there is so much potential there. Anyway surely his performance tonight has done enough to earn them a place in the EL final and hopefully they win it too. That is who I am backing. Well played Traore
  2. So true. The amount of long ranged-distance goals we have scored against Everton is amazing. Some real spectacular goals. From Ballack to Lamps, Drogba, Matic, Pedro. Some really top goals
  3. Would be very surprised if Ake did this. One, he was born and raised in Holland and 2 he stands a very good chance of being part of that defence in the future. Especially if he can nail down a position at us or elsewhere. He has got the playing characteristics they like for a CB too. No offence to Boga, but he probably realised he has a better chance of representing Ivory Coast than France as he was even missing out on their U21 squad.
  4. Youngest player in the team at 16 but absolutely amazing. His dribbling ability is fantastic. Him and Sterling are always ones who standout for me when I watch our U18.
  5. Was frustrating but so good at the same time. Nice to see him back scoring again and finally getting more than 1 goal in a game since our 4th game against Swansea I believe. His last goal was just outstanding and it is so good to see the passion he showed when he scored. Those goals meant a lot to him and even if he wants to leave, as long as he plays his heart out till the end of the season, I am happy. Diego is back!
  6. Hazard been star man again but once again he is too nice and needs to be more selfish. He wants Costa to score so much that he tries to pass for him so much times when he can take it on his own and try score. Really frustrating because he is just way too un-selfish. He passes way too much when he has so much options to shoot and take the game by himself.
  7. As good as Moses has been at RWB for us this season, he still does not know how to take a throw-in. Every game he probably takes at least 1 foul throw. He needs practising on this on the training ground because it concedes needless possession.
  8. I actually meant to write that post few hours before I posted that but Kante intercepted that too
  9. Rumours going around that the award was going to go to Hazard but Kante intercepted it
  10. He prob is fed up the amount of times over the last few months that Costa has ruined one of his moves he has set up and it is not even an exaggeration the amount of times Hazard has done something magical, only for Costa to fuck up the move.
  11. His hold up play was terrific yesterday. He managed to set up so much counters and win us possession and free kicks with his play yesterday. Considering he has barely played and was coming into a game like that, he can be proud of how he performed. It is a shame because he won't get much chances to keep that momentum going and he prob will revert back to the bench.
  12. Would not take another CB over this guy. He is just brilliant. Even he is prone to the odd error like any other CB is because they are human, what he brings is priceless. Wins his duels, has a lot of pace for a CB, prob best vision/passing ability for a CB, scores the odd spectacular goal and just leads by example. He don't have the same hype for POTY like Kante and Hazard does, but he is certainly up there. Been magnificent this season and shut up a lot of people. I remember after we lost to Liverpool 2-1 at the Bridge in September and post-match when they have their usual discussion, Carragher and co were stating Luiz was a panic signing, was not Conte's signing and he won't be first choice once JT is back etc. Bla bla bla Now look few months later. Best CB in league. To Carragher's credit, I am sure he has owned up and admitted he has been proven wrong and even stated himself Luiz could be POTY so respect that but hindsight is just a funny thing.
  13. Been saying this for ages. In fact, just before this game started on the post match thread with us and United, I was saying how important it is to have a Pogba/Dembele type of player in long run. Dembele provides so much protection and provides all the substance for their main attacking threat to do their job. Although we won, the we were outplayed throughout that match is worrying. It s good when we use the counter to advantage but to develop as a really top side, it is important that we know to use the ball in important matches because we were getting picked off throughout the match regularly. I said before on here that Dembele is the best CM in the league for me. He can dribble, protects the back 4, lays off passes. It helps them that Dembele and Wanyama are so phycially big too. Kante is brilliant but even him is vulnerable to losing the ball. So yeah, hopefully a Naingollan type player can come in.
  14. Kalas only had 1 good game for us though. That was brilliant but Ake has shown even against Arsenal this season that he is capable of being a potential top CB. He was brilliant at the Emirates despite them losing, he was a close call for MOTM. Also he made a big impact for Bournemouth during his time there.
  15. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/football/2017/04/21/chelsea-manager-antonio-conte-leaves-diego-costa-sweating-fa/ Yep. Looks like Ake is starting. Conte has basically confirmed this and also might leave out Costa. I hope he goes with Wllian-Hazard-Pedro. More fluidity and unpredictability in our game. Alderweireld and Vertonghen will prefer coming up against Costa and imo will be able to neutralise him. However they would have a lot more problems with the trio of Willian, Hazard and Pedro. Has worked for us every time we have played like that this season and Costa has been shit for weeks now and needs to be shown that he is not a guaranteed starter in the team. Also on Ake, best decision if true. Deserves this chance. Has been so restricted which is unfortunate but he is the best candidate to take over from Cahill. Zouma looked rusty last week. Terry has barely played for months and has spent some of those on sidelines and don't think he is ready for this game imo and as much as it will hurt him, think Conte is making the right decision.
  16. Mbappe is brilliant but if I had a choice who to lead us in a single striker formation I would go for Lukaku. I think Mbappe would find it a lot harder on his own up front for us.
  17. Weird how as time moves on, it changes your perspective on things. January I was praying he was not going to have his turned as he was on fire and we needed him. Now, with a striker like Lukaku available albeit for a hefty price but who is younger and forever improving, I would rather this deal happen. He has been so off it and you can see how his head has been turned. Just total different player and total different attitude.
  18. Really think he deserves to be in that PFA Team of the year. Rose has been brilliant but also injured for large parts too while Alonso has consistently put in good performances and has scored 5 league goals which is remarkable. The English factor helped Rose there.
  19. He an be very good there but yeah I highly doubt he would want to play there regularly. A lot of rumour has it that he is on his way to Liverpool in summer.
  20. Yeah, well you judge a player over the whole season and Lukaku has 7 more goals....
  21. And people were criticizing Lukaku for not "fighting for his place". He made the right decision as very soon he will be at a top club.
  22. People can come up with all the excuses of why he came back but the reality is it what is a stupid decision to bring him back. From playing every minute at a PL club and looking very impressive to being called back to the club only to be majority of the times not even in the matchday squad.
  23. If I were him, I would hand in a transfer request ASAP after being left on the bench despite being 2-0 down and our team and our striker especially having arguably our worst performance of the season. The ultimate slap in the face. Feel so sorry for him. I refuse to believe he is not good enough until he is given a proper opportunity which obv will not happen,
  24. Yes, I want him here next season. Has improved so much this season in all aspects of play and is on 24 league goals. All from open play ffs. Only positive thing I take from Costa's form is that hopefully Conte has already decided that he is going to make a move for this man in summer. I will be so pissed of if another PL club get him. Even if Costa decides he wants to stay here next season, we should be looking for a top striker anyway. Cost'a drop off in goals general form is really alarming. Want to see the two Belgians lining up with one another next season. We can't mess up on this one again.
  25. I knew this would happen. I know he is not everyone's favourite but people wait for him to have a poor game then pounce. The other 2 games against United this season he was top class. The game against City the other day was probably our MOTM along with Hazard but like I said then, you won't see much people giving him praise because he is the no.1 scapegoat. Opinions will always be divided but he has been a big part of our success this season. Majority of season he has been class. Not on level of Luiz but still very good.
