I expect him to be dropped in big games. Especially away from home. That is why I am happy with the signing of Cuadrado. The counter-attacking threat of Hazard, Willian and Cuadrado will scare the life out of teams.
-
And why is that then? Are you going to state because he did not score or assist? Because I doubt you watched the game. Especially the first half if you think he did not do well today.
-
I was impressed with Willian today. It was him who chased Clichy down and outmuscled him to win the ball back in which we scored our opening goal. I thought along with Zouma, Hazard and Matic, Willian can come out with a lot of credit today.
-
Willian has been brilliant so far. Hazard been good as well. Oscar needs to step and show a little bit more steel ffs. Get involved.
-
Rubbish. He got run ragged by Gray in the opening 20 mins then was completely formidable. Won everything in the air and was a big reason why Middlesbrough kept a clean sheet today.
-
Can't be that clueless when he has been one of the best players in the league this season when fit. He never actually stays on the wing as well. He has a free role where he roams all about the pitch. Throughout his whole City career he never has been strictly played in the no.10 role. He has started of wide and gradually roams all about the pitch.
-
What a goal he just scored. Best player on the pitch alongside with Vereinha. 2 goals and an assist Such a shame it never worked out here or more so that he never got enough chances. He is only 23 as well.
-
Let's be honest now. Skrtel getting into Costa's face is just part and parcel of the game. Skrtel is a little cunt for that but it is no point holding that in the same regard because they are two different situations. I just hope someone to do with Chelsea FC asks why the hell Aguero was not banned for what he done on Luiz.... That is where there is double standards.
-
If we are playing on the counter, Remy should start as he is faster and can get in behind. Against City I would rather we have someone who can test Kompany for pace. Remy will be perfect for that. He is not as strong as Drogba but his balance is underrated as well.

Nice when our players recieve credit from our rival team's legend. http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11668/9684590/premier-league-robert-pires-thinks-branislav-ivanovic-might-be-best-defender-in-europe

Zouma done very well tonight. He is a bit raw and I do worry against opponents with more clinical and out and out strikers but he will learn game by game and can only improve with minutes on the field I guess. But you can see that Liverpool are crying out for Sturridge. Had he been playing, Zouma would have been much more tested imo. Will be interesting to see if Zouma is selected against City. I have a feeling he will go for Cahill. Because of his experience and he often performs in the big games tbh. Whoever is picked will need to be on the top of the game up against Aguero.
-
He will make a huge difference for them when fully fit. You don't have to be a smart person to realise that they are missing him and when he is fit he is a quality striker. They need him back asap as their other strikers are not doing it.
-
This season he has been playing as a striker all season and done it brilliantly. He plays CF with Fekir and N'Jie usually supporting him Anyway another goal for him today albeit from the spot. This guy can't stop scoring. He just had to go off injured. Hope it is nothing serious.

Bye you lot

The FA Cup is a trophy a lot of us love. Losing to Bradford is not acceptable. Of course people are going to be angry and that is understandable. A random loss? Yes and we are out of the cup due to losing to a L1 team at our own ground. If you are not too disappointed that is you but I am bloody annoyed about it. Especially considering the second best team in England went out as well.
-
But how will that change Bamford's situation? Costa will still be starting every league game. Remy, if here will be second and Bamford third. Bamford, realistically could be starting every league game or so for Middlesbrough if they get promoted. I would rather that than him see marginalised minutes here and he probably won't even make the bench some games.
-
Remy can't even get a sniff despite getting into double figures in the PREMIER LEAGUE last season. I hope Bamford does not suffer the same fate where he cannot even get a look in. He is doing excellently at Boro but if Remy struggles to get minutes let alone starts ahead of Costa and a 36 year old Drogba, Bamford will have little chance unfortunately.

We might as well close our youth academy after this because there is no way Mourinho will play any youth players in a cup game again. Not that any youth players such as Christensen are to be blamed but there is no chance in future cup competitions that Mourinho will even chance playing youth if our first team squad cannot win this type of game. We even brought on Hazard and Fabregas ffs!
-
This guy cannot stop scoring. He scored 2 tonight in our U21 3-1 win over West Ham. Just reading up on him on our youth twitter page. Those goals tonight make his goal tally for the season 22 in 19 appearances. Brilliant Just imagine the amount of goals he will be on come the end of the season.
-
We have every reason to be annoyed about our performance as fans. Players too because Mourinho set them out like this. I assume it was not planned to be that defensive but I don't see how Mourinho can complain. He set our team out to play cowardly football against a team who are much inferior to us. I get it is advantage us but that was a poor game from us and we should be embarrassed. 1 shot in open play for that whole game which was a ridiculous attempt from Luis that probably reached row Z. Courtois and Hazard are the only players who come out with credit from this game for me.
-
They were running us ragged for 90 mins. He got skinned once or so but also made a vital interception to prevent Sterling from getting to the ball in the first hald but on TC, who is the scapegoat, Gary Cahill. Some of you
-
Not 1 attempt in open play so far. What a bloody joke!
-
Mourinho's approach to these away games is bloody frustrating. We have players who can attack them and hurt them if we attacked but it is far too negative. I would like to see Oscar come on but Mourinho will be happy with the away goal. Paying too much respect to a team who don't have Sturridge and we have better attacking players than them!
-
Erm... where did I try and ridicule any of our players? Don't put words into my mouth please. I was just having a dig at people who constantly criticise Cahill but are in complete denial when he does something well. I never once said Zouma was poor. I just said the clean sheet hides a lot of errors in that game which it does. It was not the perfect defensive performance. If you mean I ridiculed Zouma because I said Cahill never was dropped from the team then you have reached that conclusion yourself because I was just stating that Cahill has not been poor all season. He had a poor game against Spurs like I said and needed a rest which he was given.
-
Well one mistake but it is not as if Zouma was excellent against Newcastle. We were lucky. I am not blaming him for it but I don't understand why everyone jumped on the Zouma bandwagon because of one clean sheet. Truth is we were lucky to get that clean sheet anyway. People actually thought Cahill was being dropped for 'poor performances' which was ridiculous. He was poor against Tottenham, no denying that but the fact that people think he has been poor all season is laughable. I think Mourinho realised that maybe Cahill needed a little breather and that is what he gave him. The amount of times that Cahill got ridiculed after that Newcastle game for being rotated for Zouma was quite ridiculous imo. We were not even defensively solid as the result shows yet people were using that game as an example for why Zouma should keep him out of the team. So yes, maybe my comment was a bit knee-jerk but their are just so much double-standards on here.
