Anyone here think Thatcher is responsible for a fundamental shift in British politics? Or is is the near permenant economic growth period experienced by the baby boomers; who are now protecting their interests at the expense of the next generation?

Hey guys, where are you usually watching chelsea games?
Tricky replied to risslight's topic in Matthew Harding Stand
How does it cost them nothing? They fist pump money into the PL, hence they quality of the football on display. I ha a second ticket for the last decade, but I gave it up last year. Work / home commitments didn't leave me with the time to attend every game. Still go to some but ja e been watching mostly on TV this season. -
Mikel is toilet!!!
-
Sorry not really aimed at you mate, a lot of haters on here and I'm glad Nando is throwing goals back into their faces.
-
Fuck yeah!!!
-
You maybe right but at home against teams like Norwich we should be worrying more about offense. Your point is valid though.
-
Laugh it up, the haters make me laugh. 6 goals this season and they still complain. He shall score 20 by Xmas and still ppl shall criticize him. He plays for us, get behind him.
-
You were saying?
-
Get in Nando... I said twenty by Xmas on your well on your way.
-
He scores when he wants, he scores when he wants... Fernando Torres scores when he wants!!!!
-
You were saying? Well played Nando, working hard for the team.
-
Hazard needs some rest. 1-1 united ?
-
Unlucky Nando, one touch shot, good save from keeper.
-
lol United!!!
-
Seems your man is coming back to manage United.

Nice post from 'Arsenal Maniacs': IMO CFC were set out tactically to nullify our 3 role CMs to stop us playing through the middle to attack the front of the 'D', & allow/encourage us to play from the flanks in the final 3rd. Unless we play Giroud then our CF role is all about movement ahead of the ball through the middle to create space for the likes of Podolski & Cazorla to exploit. However when we are forced wide then the movement is negated & we lack a genuine presence in the area until we bring on Giroud. As such CFC achieved exactly that & did so playing with the ball on the ground. Their 3 behind Torres were far better at holding the ball & controlling possession in the attacking 3rd than we were. We were forced to make 20 crosses in the 1st half alone (which is a handful less than for the entire game v Saints), but less than a handful actually got beyond the first defender. As for JT being excellent - about the same measure IMO as the 2 soft goals we gifted them = he was only any good because we didn't put him under any pressure as we were unable to get at their CBs down the middle or to attack the channels. Likewise our transition in attack was so pedestrian that CFC were able to set along the edge of the area & in general were not required t turn & chase anything - unlike our defence that was caught high a few times - hence the FKs that led to the goals. That said CFC did not come here to do anything other than to stop us playing, and anything beyond a point was a bonus for them. The didn't come to kill the game, but they were more concerned with stopping us as opposed to playing their 'normal' game. Some would say that they didn't look to impose their game upon us, and yet tactically that's exactly what they did"

So How Do We Know If We Are Doing Better?
Tricky replied to terraloon's topic in Matthew Harding Stand
We have headed in the right direction. We have reduced the average age of the squad, and massively improved in the final third of the pitch. Can't tell you how excited I am by this squad, City built a team for the now, we have built one with the next decade in mind. In the summer we only really need to look for a striker (depending on performances) and CM and we are good to go, no FFP for us to worry about. -
I'd love to see some standing areas back (great call Hutchi) no reason why they could introduce them again, safety design is so much better these days. They have them in German grounds and it works well, in fact those are the areas where the noise is made. I was young but I'll always remember standing as a lad in the shed, atmosphere was cracking. Nostalgia is great, but the ground as it stands is not the one of many of our childhoods, it's been torn down and rebuilt so many times. Hell getting in an out is a bitch at the moment. Had to give up my season ticket this year (commitments at home), but I'd like to renew it soon and as things stand I could be waiting for years. Lower prices for families and bring in category games again and we would have no trouble filling 60k. Make it do Roman.

Really? Did we have six shots on goal? Torres played well yesterday, credit where it's due he hardly put a foot wrong.
-
Not true, Arsenal are a good team made to look average by a Chelsea team brimming with talent.
-
Lol anyone would think the £££s go into their bank accounts.
-
Who ever said that shop hang there head in shame.... Mata was a beast least year.
-
Fucking get in Torres steps up and delivers, His best game this season. Solid all round, pleasantly surprised he went with Mata, Hazard and Oscar. Hate to say it but Fat Frank is in trouble, Rambo and Sideways looked pretty good in midfield. Dare I say it? We look like title contenders....

Happy days I'm off to get... ????
