If Ronaldo stayed at United he could've become a much more decorated player IMO. It's shocking to learn that he's only won 1 La Liga title

I bet Cech's thinking now that he'd rather be a loved back up player at Chelsea than a despised starter for Arsenal. He could've had so many important games for us in the cups if he hadn't been selfish. Truly, as legendary and loved as he is, this is karma. Barely past your peak, yet saying goodbye to the club that gave you everything for their rival just because a new shiny toy has come in for your position.

You wouldn't think a 5'5 defensive midfielder would be the best midfield player in the world 2 years running. But he is. There's no midfielder playing for Barcelona, Madrid, City, Tottenham, Bayern, Juventus, Roma, Atletico, Seville, and on and on and on, playing to a higher standard as consistently. He's truly one of the greatest to ever play his role. He must've put in so much work & dedication on his comeup.

I'd say Tottenham are now our biggest rivals. Feels good for the minnows to finally be worth beating. They're not leaving the top 4 any time soon. It's them, us, City, and whoever of the reds can battle it out and end up on top.

I don't care if Tottenham get CL football, it's good for them, they're our little annoying step-brother. I don't care if Arsenal get CL football, they're our retarded cousin, they deserve to be a part of things too. Man City i've just accepted as a local bully who'll always be up there now. But United and Liverpool? Them missing out on CL again would be ecstacy for me. And at this rate, chances are at least one of them will - and i think it may just be Liverpool (hopefully). It's up to Arsenal and United really.

It's crazy that he was on fire at Atletico, yet came to the Premier League and has actually scored more goals in fewer games. But that said, he did show more passion and all-round striker abilities for them, whereas I feel like we've just got ourselves a poacher who, sometimes, brings in some target man qualities. I love his personality but only like him a bit as a player. I really want Lewandowski. It's delusion to say he's not as good as his Dortmund days.

He deserves to be vice captain. Beyond Terry, he is our best leader. You look across to your teammate Cesc, and you see a player you want to live up to and emulate. You don't really feel the same way with Luiz or Azpi regardless of their passion & dedication. Especially with how he's on the bench now, yet still being in our top 5 most crucial players, it'd be a nice touch for him to come on and get the arm band.

It's hilarious how if any top teams win their next games, their points will still just be creeping into the 50s while we'll be in the 60's.

We're past the point of needing 5 at the back, and we do not need Cahill when we have both Luiz & Azpi in the centre. We'd be far better with the usual 4-3-3 with Fabregas added, telling him to go forward and telling Matic to keep his position and form 5 at the back if needed. (This is roughly what i'd go with next season if we can find a great right back. I'm happy to keep Azpi where he is for the rest of his career.)

We don't really need Courtois for this game clearly, so I'd take him off and add Fabregas to midfield.

It's something to do with taking a moral high-ground and feeling smug doing-so I think. It makes some people's ego swell when they believe they're such a great person to admit faults in their own team (even when there is no fault). It makes them feel impartial and rational, which is who they want to be; but it's contrived in this scenario.

Amazing. Sometimes stats do tell the whole story. He can't not be the best with that sort of record; no Premier League or Serie A player in history would achieve the same in Spain, regardless of the strength of the league.

Is any other player in the top 5 ever of their league in both goals AND assists? I'm not sure whether or not Messi will be in the top 5 for assists over in La Liga. I presume Rooney is also in the top 5 for both. I can't think of anyone else. Regardless, Messi wouldn't do it over here.

There's little difference between Sane & Hazard based on this season, other than the former being more consistent. Same moves, same thoughts, but one of them has a higher desire to prove himself, and it shows in the extra bursts of pace and drive.

Despite not signing anyone ourselves, it's rare that none of our rivals strengthen. I wonder if other top 6 supporters are as miffed.

A player who has some decent link up play. A player with some creativity. A player with pace beyond the norm. Something to give our striker an edge, other than, he's a lazy brute with a powerful shot. We may as well have Berbatov.
