  1. Instantly the best substitute of the Conte era.
  2. There is such a thing as being TOO urgent, which our players are right now. They're putting too much pressure on themselves and not even thinking about the moves they're making.
  3. Matic will be the new Mikel. He won't be moved on because he's 'nice', and doesn't cause trouble. He seems to have a fine relationship with the players & staff, was bought for a lot of money, and isn't *so* obviously bad that everyone in the country can call him out - only Chelsea fans are seeing the small things he does, which are awful. Pundits and commentators continue to say he's one of our more important players; but they're talking out their arses. Unfortunately, public opinion matters in football, and dictates how things go too often. Who can even picture us selling Matic? Where would he go, and for how much? What team would he accept? It just is not written in the stars. We'll repeat our process of hanging onto average players for far too many seasons, with all of us shouting for damn upgrades in the right area. It's more urgent to replace Matic than it is to replace Moses or Alonso, but I've no doubt who'll be leaving last.
  4. http://www.247hd.info/ronaldo7net.php always go to ronaldo7net for streams. I've never come across such a consistent streaming source.
  5. You honestly believe Kante is taller than Mata? Stats lie. The majority of our favourite footballers & actors are a couple inches shorter than what the internet says. Kanye West is 5'7; Kanye would not be towered over the way Kante is by his own players. The guy is a beautiful 5'4-5'5.
  6. Germany is the best place to send our players simply. You have to work just as hard to get points over there as you do here. No 1 player carries a team, they all pitch in. And then on top of that, no other league is as good for prepping you for the athletic demands our league requires. But that said, i just don't care for RLC. There's been players like him in the Bundesliga, all big with little technique & no pace, but at least they have determination. (I'm thinking Goretzka; very similar profile, yet miles ahead, despite still not even being quite good enough for Schalke.)
  7. ..........Jose levels of hilarity this is, still not picking Cesc.
  8. Anyone with a smile this innocent and hair this youthful cannot be prosecuted. Next.
  9. Zouma will never be the best defender in the world, but he will end up playing with them, as the cement to their wall. In a world of Puyol's, you need a few Pique's to do the uncredited work. He suddenly reminds me of Barzagli based just on that. To put into other words, he won't ever be the headline grabber, and thus far fewer fans will believe the hype shared amongst pro-Zouma supporters, but, if you had a central defender playing alongside him, he'd be at the top of his game - and with a potential removal of Zouma, you'd see that top defender's form falter, which'd be no coincidence. He'll be important for any team he plays for, including us. Other teams will look on wishing they had someone as consistent, nevermind such a consistent defender plus the sheer physical traits. In the same vein that Conte concluded hard working players will make it ahead of the technically gifted these days, Zouma will simply be one of the best, just because of his genetics. Bar horror injuries, nothing can stop him.
  10. Just seen that before this game Liverpool were basically neck & neck with Everton in the league. This is not Everton's best season at all, so that's amusing.
  11. If he's genuinely either of those things, he deserves pity and genuine help. If he's not genuinely either of those things, then he is just playing a game and he always has been, but I wouldn't go so far to label him either of those. If he's a narcissist then 90% of Westerners are. He's very humble in real life it seems once the lights & cameras are off. The Rock & Dwayne Johnson are very different people, and so are 'Mourinho' & Jose Mario dos Santos Mourinho Felix.
  12. Wij is the real boss there. His pass was better than Mane's finish entirely.
  13. All players look great when they're doping.
  14. Bertrand was one of our most important players while he was playing. Both a back up for Cole and also a back up on the wing. When he played, he was solid, and we would've been too defensively flimsy without him during that period. No, he didn't cement himself long-term here (I wish he did), but he made a big mark, and you can't make a big mark if you haven't 'broken through into the team' yet. A player who didn't break through was McEachran. Bertrand did break through for a season. In his first 3 games for us, he got 2 MOTM awards, and then he started in & helped win the Champions League final. But he didn't break through ? If you play in the CL Final, nevermind winning it, I think you've done as much as any player can do. In fact, he's done more than any Arsenal, Spurs, Liverpool, player has done in the past decade, and had a better career than 80% of City's squad - and not just riding on the bench collecting medals, but being a part of it. He was and is a boss.
  15. Monaco poured money into known stars - and were quite crap. Moncao then poured any remaining money into unknown but highly touted (at least within French circles) players - and are the best side in the league now. So why didn't clubs like Marseille & Lyon get in on these players? Should we really send their scouting HQ some scopolamine-laced cookies alongside a note?
  16. Every time I saw Lukaku play for us, I felt what I feel now when I watch RLC. Risky business wanting a player who gets slated week in week out despite being one of a club's top scorers ever. I don't think he'd offer anything Costa doesn't. But as a back-up there's been worse, and unlike before, I do think he'd get flukey goals against top teams this time around.
  17. Manpe, I'd bet my left arm you haven't even seen 5 games of Valdes or Casillas in the past 3 years. Maybe one or two. So you're either voicing your opinion based on barely any knowledge, or, you're baaaah'ing like a sheep. But correct me properly if I'm wrong. Do try and tell me how Casillas hasn't been absolutely incredible again for the past year - go on. In regards to Valdes, I should've elaborated. My original post is specifically talking about Courtois being shit with the ball at his feet, and having poor distribution. Hence highlighting a true great at goalkeeping distribution, Valdes, who Courtois could learn heaps from still, as the former outperforms the latter in that category. Deny that and you don't understand football. Now discuss these points with me, unless you'd rather stick to your opinions without any evidence or logic.
  18. The *majority* of our games he has allowed opposition players within 3 ft of himself and had to hoof it upfield anywhere regardless of direction. You want to see a great keeper, look at the real greats who're still better despite being granddads, like Buffon, Casillas, even Valdes. He is not good with the ball at his feet. Who said he's utter shit? Who's saying he isn't one of the best shot-stoppers in Europe?
  19. Don't hyperbole, I've called him a legend more than once, and nobody is saying he isn't the greatest goalkeeper we've ever had. I've also highlighted how deservedly loved he is. What on earth are you talking about?
  20. He literally just in our game right there kicked the ball straight at Arsenal's forwards while they were 10 ft away from him because he wanted to give it to Luiz who wasn't even looking in the right direction (who proceeded to slip). He is absolutely not good with the ball at his feet.
  21. Jesus won't be half the player, truly. Aguero won games on his own; this new guy won't. If he ends up leaving City or simply not playing much, I can't see any striker on this planet having the same effect for them that he had. With him gone we regain dominance; he remained the main difference between us. (It's no coincidence that while all the other City players fulfill their potential, the 1 season Aguero declines, City fall waaay behind.) Now we just need Silva to lose it. That's another player they simply will not be able to ever replace to the same extent.
  22. Right. But we are still very much in the times of it being a despisable trait to move to a direct rival, let alone a local one. Imagine Totti going to Lazio next year. Imagine Terry going to Arsenal. Something's wrong with your perspective if you're alright with these sorts of moves. Did Gerrard go and join Everton when he wasn't quite good enough for Liverpool? Would he ever? No. I wonder why. Because it's disgusting.
  23. The player who fits his criteria is Kroos, and a slight downgrade on that would be Modric. Sad they're both in the same team. Personally I can't think of anyone else in that ilk of Lampard-esque shooting ability (to an extent) coupled with Gerrard's passing. I bet there's some gem playing for a mid table Serie A or La Liga side who has everything we want.
  24. Only Ozil is less of a Conte player. And maybe Taarabt. It's easy to draw conclusions about what they all have in common without explaining. Exceptional talent does not equal exceptional performances. This guy is great to watch but only if it's not in your team. I would take him only in a scenario where he's a bench player used against small sides in cups. For those games, he'd always ensure we win.
  25. Do you think it's OK if Ronaldo goes to Barcelona if Madrid decide, that's enough contract extensions for you, and he wants to remain in Spain at a top club? or if Rooney goes to Man City when he stops getting a look in, but wants to remain close to his Manchester manor? Looking out for yourself before the team can maybe work in basketball; not football. As has been said before - everyone including Cech knew Arsenal aren't going to be competing for trophies again in his playing career, and he could've easily gone to Crystal Palace if he wanted to remain loyal and in London. He put his personal glory above Chelsea's - no other way to cut it. He would've become a club legend over there, too. It would've been dandy & glory as he would keep them up. Are they too small for him? Well West Ham aren't exactly as fierce rivals as Arsenal, so why not go there? I won't hear any 'ambition' nonsense, not about a player who's been on the side whooping Arsenal for a decade. Keeping a team like CP up is far more rewarding and meaningful than trying to get 4th place with Arsenal. He was really wrong to make this move.
