Ah dammit Marseille.

Half-time. Liverpool have pretty much dominated which is surprising considering how many youngsters are playing. Adam Morgan, who many believe to be 'the next Fowler', has shown a great work rate but nothing much else. Wisdom looks like he's going to be 1st-choice for Liverpool in no time, and their keeper should be 1st choice ahead of Pepe Reina from now on. Anzhi are just sloppy. The players have very slow passing and bad decision making. Eto'o is playing too deep for my liking, and they're fortunate to be ahead. Here's hoping Anzhi hold on though!

BEAUTIFUL from Traore! Anzhi 1 - 0 Liverpool.

Hopefully Liverpool are about to get pumped :) A few goals from Traore would be great.

Hmm... alright, if It's true that his contract is indeed coming to an end this is much more plausible. I didn't add this part, but I'd be delighted if we signed him. He's actually underrated in my opinion in every single aspect of his game. He can finish like the best in the world, pass like the best strikers in the world, has decent pace I guess, and definitely picks his shots well. He has some of the best shooting accuracy I've seen in years.

I believe he'd have the impact Van Persie is having with Manchester United at the moment to be honest! But come on guys, really? Why would Barcelona sell? Who would they buy as his replacement? Aside from Villa, unless you count Messi, I believe they don't have a single striker in their squad. I mean obviously if we put in an outrageous bid they couldn't refuse they would probably sell, but there's no way we'd be getting him on a good deal despite his age etc. Barcelona have splashed out on Alex Song and Fabregas over the last few seasons, and for them, that isn't actually cheap. They'd have so little to gain from selling us Villa - unless it got them around £30mil or so.

Podolski is wanting a game or 2 as a central striker for Arsenal apparently. If that was to happen, I'd assume Chamberlain would play on the left with Walcott retaining his current role - leaving him rather frustrated. Come here Walcott. We'll treat you better.
-
Call me 'crazy', but I think he's going to be bigger than Kaka ever was. Kaka obviously scored more goals as it was part of his role at Milan, but Oscar is the better tackler & passer and has an incredible work rate for an attacking midfielder too.

If Juventus beat us and Shakhtar beat Nord(thingy), both Juventus and Shakhtar need a draw when they play eachother to both go through. If Juventus draw with us and Shakhtar beat Nord(thingy), Juventus will need to beat Shakhtar to go through. If Juventus lose against us, Juventus are out - if Shakhtar fail to win vs. Nord(thingy).

From the same game, an absolute stunner from Fabiano! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7B4YCoqbHEQ

Lucas Moura just scored a rather tasty goal for Sao Paulo! He joins PSG in January remember. It'll be absolutely amazing to see him in Ligue 1. Perfect for him!

Skip to 1:00. Absolutely amazing. Really amazing. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hL4_feIEz5w

He's a decent winger. He could be an amazing poacher. He reminds me of Henry actually. Didn't Henry start as a winger, then turn into one of the greatest ever Premier League players when Arsene converted him into a striker? Arsene has said he'll do the same with Walcott but he sure is taking his time. I genuinely believe Walcott could be one of the best players in the league if used correctly. His finishing skills are really understated.

There's so many players in that Shakhtar team that I'd welcome with open arms; mainly Srna. I doubt he'll ever leave, but he would be an incredible addition.
-
Willian has improved an awful lot since last season. He's a lot more decisive and less selfish. Wouldn't mind him in the squad now! I love Moses though on another note. Just love him. He already seems really passionate about wearing our badge.
-
@Land, ah, really? Do you think Marin could improve to the point where he's at Willian's level? Or is he just not that good? I haven't seen much of him.
-
@manpe, Stop making me laugh.

My thoughts - 1: Terry and Cahill should be our centre-back pairing. 2: Bertrand, like I've stated before, isn't ready for the 'big time' yet. He's nearly there though. He's more effective in his natural (yes, natural) winger position. (He'd be an incredible wing-back.) 3: I don't like Luiz as a player. If this 'Geezer' thing didn't exist and he didn't have a Twitter account, I know that literally thousands of people would admit to him simply not being good enough. 4: Torres. Meh. Decent game. 5: Di Matteo really does confuse me with his subs. Sure, the Moses sub paid off, but the Sturridge sub was an odd one. 6: Oscar makes me reconsider my sexuality. 7: Mata makes me full-on gay. 8: I wish Ramires was Fernandinho. 9: Ivanovic loses possession too much still. 10: Mikel was alright but had some really questionable positioning at times when pushing forward. 11: Watching Willian made me wonder if Marin could be our little version of him. Maybe. 12: We beat incredible opposition today. They were horribly underrated by a lot of us. They are surely amongst the top 25 teams in Europe, and based on current form, amongst the top 10 for sure. Huge win. 13: We weren't good enough today, despite the scoreline. 14: Oscar will eventually win an award for 'best player' either of 'the month', 'the year' etc. or something along those lines. 15: No. Moses is not the 'new Drogba' you silly willys. 16: Hazard just isn't doing good enough at the moment. He left Bertrand far too exposed during the match, and didn't make up for it with anything magical going forward (but I did like how he linked up with Mata on a few occasions.) 17: I wish someone got a knock so I could see Eva's ass. 18: Terry looked cute when he was warming up. 19: I will support Shakhtar against Juventus. 20: This list is too long.
-
No disrespect intended, but Fernandinho is everything I've been hoping Ramires would be for us.
-
Shakhtar have gained my admiration over these 2 legs. I'll be rooting for them in every game which isn't against us.
-
I must say, in order right now, my fave maestros must be - Mata >>> Oscar >>> Hazard
-
Oh god, I just came...
-
Our attack are starting to build decent chemistry aren't they? It's worrying how much we miss JT's leadership though. This is why I keep preaching that we need a new central defender more than anything. We really do. Who will be the leader once he's done?

Well that's rather gay
