  1. I dunno. I know you can't just rely on stats, but with Brazil he currently averages a goal every 6 games, while at Inter in Brazil he's averaged a goal every 3.5-or-so games. I've never seen him as a game changer who'll take a game by the neck and just push hard every second for an equaliser when the team is a goal down. I see him much more like Dzeko - A player who can come on in the last 20 or so minutes and often get a good winning goal etc. We need a leader up-front now in my opinion to compliment the maestros. Not just a good finisher. (Which is why I would now opt for Cavani over Falcao for example.)
  2. I hope we see something similar to the start we had vs. Man City where the ball was played to the defence at kick-off, hit right up to Torres, down to Cole and gave us early possession. I like quick things off the training ground like that and not just taking the game as it comes the whole time.
  3. This video left me in shock the very first time I watched it. I had no idea who this guy was at the time:
  4. Some quotes I've come across today which either made me laugh, think, or that I just enjoyed: "All men dream, but not equally. Those who dream by night in the dusty recesses of their minds, wake in the day to find that it was vanity: but the dreamers of the day are dangerous men, for they may act on their dreams with open eyes, to make them possible." - T. E. Lawrence "Your workout is my warm up." ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ "Imagine there is a bank account that credits your account each morning with £86,400. It carries over no balance from day to day. Every evening, the bank deletes whatever part of the balance you failed to use during the day. What would you do? Draw out every penny, of course? Each of us has such a bank. Its name is time. Every morning, it credits you with 86.400 seconds. Every night, it writes off as lost, whatever of this you have failed to invest to a good purpose. It carries over no balance. It allows no overdraft. Each day, it opens a new account for you. Each night, it burns the remains of the day. If you fail to use the day’s deposits, the loss is yours. There is no drawing against “tomorrow.” You must live in the present on today’s deposits. Invest it so as to get it from the utmost health, happiness, and success. The clock is running. Make the most of today." ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ "Life's not about finding cover and waiting for the storm to pass....its about learning to dance in the fucking rain." - Greg Plitt
  5. Simple but true. I love this image:
  6. OMG I love his technique, touch, his dribbling...just... Ahhhh I want him, I want him, I want him!!!
  7. Cech sounding like a captain here:-
  8. Just back from a jog. I just go on them because they make me feel good. Nothing else. Anyway; I never ever listen to this genre of music really, but I found myself replaying this again and again for some reason. I probably couldn't just press "Play" in my iTunes and sit back in my room and listen to it, but it's really decent for medium-paced cardio etc.
  9. If he gives Marin a start vs. Fulham i'll happily lick his presumably cheesy feet.
  10. I'd probably go with; Cech; Azpi, Ivan, Cahill, Cole; Mikel, Ramires; Hazard, Oscar, Sturridge (is he back yet?); Torres If Studge still isn't available I'd go with Marin or Moses. I really want Mata to get a game off. Lots of people on Twitter are saying Bertrand and Marin should play. I personally feel this is a must-win and Fulham shouldn't be underestimated. We're also now building on our defence with Rafa in charge, and after our first clean-sheet in ages, it would be a shame to make drastic changes to the back-line.
  11. His penalty was one of the best I've ever seen.. although the camera angle may be deceiving me a bit. http://footyroom.com/atletico-madrid-4-0-sevilla-2012-11/
  12. At least Stamford Bridge is a fortress again!!!... for around half a week.
  13. Half-way through Atletico Madrid - Sevilla. Atletico winning 3-0. Maybe this is the actual reason Falcao isn't playing in the Europa League this season? Maybe Atletico believe that they can actually challenge the top 2 for the title so want to keep him fresh? It's not impossible! (Oh and yes, Falcao scored...and assisted the other 2 I believe.)
  14. He wasn't actually that great today infront of goal. Took him a few golden opportunities to seize one. That aside though, his passing was rather good, and he put a few teammates in on goal multiple times. Elsewhere on the pitch, Kalas was great as usual. He hasn't been anything other than great this season really. PvA had one of his better games. Got forward lots, but didn't defend well enough. Usually he doesn't do either too well though! I think he's still settling in and finding his feet. He would have gotten an assist near the end of the match to make it 1-3 if a striker was in the box, but instead of cross just scuffed across goal and went out for a goalkick.
  15. Sundays, like today, are my 'off' days where I don't workout at all (aside from the occasional 25minutes on the treadmill). I find these days the opposite of relaxing, which can't be good for me. I simply can't decide what to do with my free time. (No, don't mention masturbation anyone I mean REAL time, not 30 seconds.)
  16. When defending, we're playing 2 banks of four, Torres up-top, and then Oscar in a Gerrard-type role as support to Torres it would seem with Mata out right.
  17. We're getting the ball out of the back quite well when we're about to counter-attack. It's sort of a pronged shape of 3 players. A triangle I guess. 2 deeper players; 1 more advanced player, and then they move forward together. Good stuff.
  18. Passing aside, it looks like our team has more 'direction' than usual. Good sign.
  19. Assuming we don't lose this 10-0, I have to say... I'm already seeing a huge improvement. There's a bit of zonal marking going on and, so far, I like it.
  20. That one pass from Luiz invited all that pressure for a minute.
  21. Hi. Try and defend Luiz for giving Manchester City that dangerous attack there. Anyone. Thanks.
  22. Someone answer this please - Why are Fox Soccer showing Ramires on the right with Mikel on the left in the centre? WhoScored do this too as does Fifa 13 in the default Chelsea formation.
  23. GOAAAL!!! BONY GIVES VITESSE A 1-2 AWAY LEAD VS. TABLE-TOPPERS PSV!!!!
  24. Man City XI: Hart, Zabaleta, Kompany, Nastasic, Kolarov, Yaya, Barry, Silva, Milner, Dzeko, Aguero
  25. SWANSEA CITY: Tremmel, Rangel, Williams ©, Chico, Davies, Britton, de Guzman, Routledge, Hernandez, Michu, Shechter
