  1. "Rustled jimmies is an expression that is used to convey feelings of discontent or discomfort in response to someone else’s post on imageboards or forums" LOL
  2. A request for all members before this game.... Don't be upset if we lose this game. Don't be upset if the play is not perfect. Don't call for Mourinho's head and claim that X-manager would do so much better in his place. Just reading the post-match thread from the United thread made me cringe. This team is not at same level as it was during Jose's first tenure. We have a young, fantastically talented squad, potentially able to go on to be world-beaters. But they simply ARE NOT there yet. They need OUR support. Not through bemoaning the style of play or focusing on the occasional inadequate performance. Of course you can raise questions, analyze and provide constructive criticism of our team. Go ahead, be my guest. But to see members post stuff like: "OMG MOU OUT PARK THE BUS LAUDRUP SO MUCH BETTER" Really rustles my jimmies. We're going to lose games this season. That's an almost guaranteed fact. We're MOST LIKELY going to draw against a few low-tier teams. But we're (hopefully) going to play some excellent football and see some of the world's most exciting talent play at the Bridge. So get out there and support the team. After a loss/draw perhaps wait a few hours before you post, so you don't end up looking like an ignorant twat. Then after most of the frustrating notion of loss is gone, you are free to post and provide your opinion on why, and what to do better! Long season ahead lads, let's ENJOY the ride together! CHEERS FOR A WONDERFUL SEASON AHEAD, GO ON CHELSEA!
  3. Mate, relax.. Please Believe me, I know how much media can control people. 1984. By the way, don't use an informal fallacy like this: "if you thought he was cute and funny you'd support him?" You CAN'T ignore what he has done. My hate towards him has nothing to due with his looks. Regardless of media bias. I don't support a war. But what other options are there to a military intervention? The western countries would be criticized either way. If they did nothing people would claim we watch innocent people die, if we do something we exploit your people again. Lose-lose situation. I don't want a war at all, mate. I'm terribly sorry you have it like that.
  4. Some are though. There is not one side to this story, and as you could read it my original post, I'm very ambivalent to this question. I only comment on what I know, and if chemical weapons have been used towards civilians, that is clearly unacceptable. I don't know whether or not to support the rebels, but I know that Assad seems like a massive smug-faced cunt. I hope you do not condone his actions?
  5. In regards to the Syrian situation, I am split. On one hand I believe it is wrong to intervene, since it is on false grounds. We know the governments don't do it because of pity towards the civilians. Still, you can't just stand by and let the Syrian regime slaughter it's people. We've been too quiet for too long.
  6. I call it reasons, you call it excuses. Benitez was mid season. This is the third competitive game. Benitez was shit at the start, turned out OK. Give it time
  7. Celebrating ignorance now are we? Cheers.
  8. I give up.................................................................................
  9. Come on yourself I have NEVER stated that we did play in the fashion we strive for. HOWEVER, considering the facts that this is the THIRD game of the season, our incredibly low average age, and the simple fact that we played the actual champions, 1 point is brilliant. I am not stating that Mou showed tactical superiority. Check out TOPTB posts, he sums it up brilliantly. I merely commented on the comments of Busman since he continuously bemoans the style of play without actually considering the vital factors in play. He has to understand that we have so much talent, but it needs time to flourish, and it will not happen over night.
  10. You might just go ahead and do that if you cannot grasp the simple fact that we played the Champions in their own backyard. 1 point is brilliant, arguably the toughest fixture this season.
  11. If I remember correctly, Neuer, Thiago and Ribery are out injured. Not entirely certain, though.
  12. When I saw André as the striker, I thought it was a very ballsy move from Mou that would either work out surprisingly well or turn out an absolute disaster. He was decent thought, although he didn't exactly excel as a striker, he was SO FAST. Incredible. Oscar had a 5/10 game, Eden not exactly great, Torres............. GTFO please. I feel like enough people have already commented on the complete and utter overreaction. IT IS MAN UNITED. AT OLD TRAFFORD. THE THIRD GAME OF THE FUCKING SEASON. 1 point is certainly not bad, and although the display might not have been as flashy as ever, United certainly didn't impress either. This and the away City game is undoubtedly the two toughest games during the season, and 1 point in each one would not be bad. The point about Laudrup managing this side is laughable by the way Even though he's a Dane, and I've pretty much followed him during his entire managerial career, he is NO WAY NEAR ready to become a top team manager. And he would not thrive under the players currently here, he would be another AVB disaster. Go on, Mou! :blue scalf:
  13. Have an odd feeling that we'll be playing somewhat the same team as against Hull. Hope to God I'm wrong.
  14. Like TOPTB, even though this transfer might not make as much sense as, say the 'Hazard-transfer', he is an incredible talent, and while it certainly is a lot to fork out £30 million, he deserves the EXACT same support as any Chelsea player, present or previous. Welcome, Willian! Go on, lad! :blue scalf:
  15. I only see artists worthy of the 'worldclass' tag?
  16. Managed to catch a bit of the interview tonight, him and Andre are such nice lads! Will watch the rest tomorrow when it is uploaded to youtube!
  17. Dammit, missed it..... But the Boss is BOSS!
  18. Calm down about the Mata stories, please.
  19. And Chelsea's reply would probably be something along the lines of: "No. Fuck off."
  20. Don't particularly agree with your player ratings, but I see your point. We shouldn't be underestimating United, afterall they are champions. But I think we have a slightly better team this year, however most of our players are not proven yet. Cech is better than De Gea. While I don't think Terry should be a starter, I don't think Rio should of been anyway near the team of the year. End of. Cole and Evra, don't agree either. Ramires and Cleverly tie? Nah. While I do concede that Zaha has a much higher ceiling than Moses, I believe Moses could contribute more as of now.
  21. What I think the line-up will be: Cech Azpi - Ivan - Terry - Cole Ramires - Mikel KDB - Oscar - Hazard Torres What I hope we see: Cech Azpi - Ivan - Luiz - Cole Ramires - KDB/Van Ginkel Mata - Oscar - Hazard Lukaku I think it'll be a very tough game, but like Jay said, we'd do good against teams coming at us, utilizing our counter-attacking possibilities. 2-2 is my guess.
  22. 3 points in the bag, let's move on! This is the difference between last year, and now. If we played bad last season, we would lose or draw. If we'd mess up just the slightest bit, we'd lose points. Now we've got a competent manager, so I'd take this 'playing inadequately but still getting the 3 points" any day, compared to losing a 2-0 lead to Reading or Southampton.
  23. I believe Lambart said he was available for selection, but not sure if he is going to play
