What bugs me is that we completed his signing on the 2nd of July, days before Maresca even took a look at the squad. Not like Carney or Casadei really banging the doors on the rare occasions they play or Ugo would be amazing on loan but definetly a shit buy.

I overestimated the strenght of ECL-teams.. I saw the team names but I was thinking everyone will fight like crazy against us and we'll have some hard times. But every single game we score headers from corners without our players being marked or even having to jump.

Besides being a Chelsea fan, I don't see it would be a good move for Palmer. He has been the starboy of Chelsea and Premier League, he is on good way to establish himself among the best players on the planet. Real Madrid has Bellingham, Mbappe and Vinicius(let alone Güler, Rodrygo and Endrick). He would be starter there, but the team wouldn't be build around him, he would have difficult time getting all the free kicks and penalties, Vini and Mbappe would not seek to feed him and work under him like Sancho, Madueke or Neto. I understand Real and Barcelona are allways attractive for footballers, but Palmer is still very young, he can join them few years later when situation is different. He already won everything with City bit with very little contribution, I feel he is enjoying now being the main man in his team, especially we are running for throphies now.

It'd be a bit wild to sell one of our top performers for a 17 year old kid. Looking at Vini, Rodrigo, Endrick - who were absolute elite talents - they all needed 1-2 years in Europe to fully break into first team. I'm not so sure about these financial decisions aswell. I still fail to see how loaning out Chalobah and signing Adarabioyo for free was a financial genious movement, neither buying Omari Kellyman for 20 million, without any path to first team. We are wasting hundreds of millions with shity contract management(Lukaku, Sterling, Mudryk next), but we shall sell one of our best players "for profit"? That'd be huge disappointment.

What makes you think we would sell Noni? He's been starter and one of the top performers. He improved a lot since we signed him, selling now would be quite risky, would be a shame if he reached his ceiling in other English team. Also, Neto, Felix and Sancho were good additions but they all quite goal-shy. With Palmer and Nico mostly play in the middle Madueke is our only major goal threat on the wings. At last, Noni seems to work great with our biggest star, Palmer. I would be surprised if we cashed in on him.

Still not sure what we can expect this season, but it's December and we are sitting 2nd as highest scoring team in the league, so fucking good.. In 2022/23, we finished the season with 38 goals scored, now we already have 31.. We stopped at 44 points, currently we are at 28. Crazy..

Nuno Mendes I like a lot. Kerkez is super good, both defensively and in offense. Fonzie and Theo definetly not as heroic in defending as Cucu.
