  1. Worse than a bang average 24 is a bang average 19 yo who does not even body mass to compete at this level. The key is to get good players, but the age of the squad, as well the experience, has to be considered; it is always considered.
  2. Because the answer is having MORE youngsters... more cowbell! 😃 You know we have a U18 team if you are into that.
  3. I'm afraid Conor may be one of the very few players who can get a big offer in the summer. Unless Sterling goes semi-retirement route. Different characteristics in the players you listed: some far more attacking minded than Conor--which may be a good thing if we can convince Enzo he's a CM. Except perhaps de Jong who's more of a positioned CM? good passer tho.
  4. yup and I think a confident FW tends to try the dribble/cut/go round more often when he does not see a clear shot. Oh well.
  5. I think he applied the same finish he tried and missed twice against pool. The difference is that Liverpool goalie was quicker and blocked him in a way he should've tried something different -- like dribble past/round the goalie not attempt the strike. It was a poor decision rather than a bad shot (against pool).
  6. oh there several shades of gray in between the different stances. Maybe some spurs hatred rubbed in? 🙂
  7. 🤣 Something tells me you might not be a fan.
  8. that was me 4 years ago.... now I just can't believe he's still here.
  9. You guys are mad with Poch and I am mad with the club when I look at the bench in games like today. Klopp employed his kids against us, but he did not expect them to score and win the match. They all played like shit. Why do we expect our kids to come on and win a match is beyond me. You play your best players rather than go entirely by each stoic position. 🤷‍♂️ We just found out that Jackson plays better on the wing rather than center attack, for ex.
  10. Yeah I will disagree with you here. I hope both are shipped very far away in the summer. Gallagher is a bit tricky and it depends on what he demands salary/role.
  11. tbf he is right that he runs faster without the football. 😆
  12. Considering we have that one "ready" attacking player sitting on the bench atm, Palmer. Dunno how he will make 2 subs for the attack tbh.
  13. Still waiting for someone to name a single win by a team as young as ours. I can remember extremely experienced teams winning with lousy managers, but not young teams. They make too many mistakes to win silverware. Managers do not tell attacking players what to do. They can ask them to close down a FB or something like that, but once they have the ball they have the freedom to create and play -- that's pretty much everywhere. Perhaps Pep limits his attacking players a bit more. Same story everywhere 😃. The "evil" Manager makes mistakes, while players get excuses. I for one did NOT think what they did against Liverpool was OK. If I thought they were insufficient before that match, I'm now even more certain of that. Mudryk's numbers alone are abysmal. Madueke has trouble controlling the football... neither is good enough for Chelsea FC.
  14. Too bad they were not allowed to do any of that by the Liverpool "kids" despite being on fresh legs. Sometimes the answer lies with the opposition.
  15. Don't think we are saying the manager isn't important to win silverware -- it is! Maybe I can think of a quack like Di Matteo and with that extremely experienced side winning the CL, but not many examples. I personally consider this roster the very worst I've seen at Chelsea: extremely imbalanced, short (esp considering injured), overly young, and soft. Tuchel Cl team had a number of WC players... this roster has none. If we simply ignore personal opinions and personal preferences and simply list where those players, who still play competitively (not semi retired like Kante), play now that becomes very clear. We focus too much on Kai and Mount (won't go there) and ignore the strength in every area of the pitch including options in attack we don't have anymore. Would LOVE to have RLC as a bench option right now, for ex. Regarding our inability to attrack the best managers, couldn't agree more. Not with these owners mentality atm.
  16. Better list https://www.transfermarkt.com/Chelsea-fc/mitarbeiter/verein/631
  17. "he" improved players... 🙄I guess these folks don't do a whole lot then https://www.chelseafc.com/en/teams/men?tab=staff
  18. Palmer may one day shit on Neto. Does not even have the same intensity, different players. We don't have anyone like Diaz or Neto -- short dribbling, quick changes of direction, and intensity. And once again, they have a striker. Our striker likes to carry the ball and plays a lot better on the wing. 😕
  19. Wolves have much better attacking players than us. Pedro Neto is better than any attacker we got (rumor he's going to Liverpool actually). Matheus Cunha is a striker -- we've got none. The issue with our roster isn't so much that it lacks potentially good players, but that it is imbalanced and overly young.
  20. lol good luck attracting a manager like Klopp with this roster and these owners. He'd ask for a striker and would get Brighton's Ferguson, with the goal of "make him world class so it can be sold for 3x!" I'd give a few of our new players for Pedro Neto from Wolves without blinking.
