Penalty denied? Typical officiating towards chelsea. "Can't give hazard too many pens, he'd have one every game then!". Doesn't matter that he does actually draw one almost every game. If it's a pen, it's a pen. Call that!
Lol, that's not what I was referencing. I meant more like despite the win, some people were still upset Torres didn't get 2 or 3 goals, or that he played at all, or that Chelsea's not using a false 9, etc. etc.
This was not the Chelsea I saw against Newcastle. But guys, it's ok...this is all part of the plan to make history as the first team to be consecutive Champions League winners. No one will expect it now!
This is great news. Hulk would've been awesome but not for 35 million. Getting Moses for 9 is a steal. Hulk isn't 26 mill better than Moses. Nice +Expected Value move for Chelsea.
Does setanta online (setanta-i) show the same content no matter the country you're in? I get it in canada and it has the game. Only takes a minute to sign up.
What about Torres is currently worrying? He clearly drew a pen and was denied. He drew another good foul at the edge of the box after getting around like 3 defenders. He was unlucky not to score when his ball was cleared off the line. And he put himself in a great position to have a superb chance on goal but ivan couldn't complete a 3 yard pass properly. And yeah, Hazard was class. I was really pleasantly surprised with Oscar's performance though. Excellent vision and awareness. And somehow, for such a skinny dude, he was pushing the backline back rather than them pushing him around.
what did you guys think of MLS All-Stars centre back Jay Demerit? He plays for the Vancouver Whitecaps and he's our captain. I'd love to hear what other Chelsea fans thought about him. He's the guy who prevented Lukaku from going 1 v 1 against the keeper with a sliding tackle.
