We're rested and pretty much at full strength, I expect PSG to play this one cautious now. Even if the injuries aren't that serious they will have depleted energy due to todays game. We should come out and look to take advantage of the tie right away, there are no reasons for us to sit back and wait for them to come at us. We at the very least need a goal and if we get two I'm certain the tie will be put to bed. Naturally, PSG are still a dangerous outfit but they will be a disjointed, tired side when we face them on Tuesday. can't imagine any of the injured players training for this match at full speed so that means Cabaye, Aurier and Pastore will likely be out. I do think given the circumstance Matuidi, Lucas and if needed Marquinhos will play.

We clearly didn't even need him to score for us in the champions since we scored more than any other team in the tourney. Matches get real now and I expect him to be there fighting as he has all season long.

Either the people who compare Desailly to Zouma are racist or they don't know anything about what Desailly was as a player. They are nothing close to similar when analyzing their individual games. He's black and french and plays for Chelsea but the similarities stop there. Desailly was very good on the ball, many forget when he was winning European cups with Milan he played defensive midfielder. At Chelsea he also played sweeper, I can't imagine in 100 years Jose playing Zouma as a sweeper, he's not good enough on the ball. That is the component of Desailly's game that made him so good, he was able to break up a ton of moves and play it out the back like a midfielder. If you are looking for a CB to compare him to who was big and black and played in London the answer is Sol Campbell. Much closer comparison than Desailly...

The main reason our counter has been hampered is the fouling. Teams will sooner get a yellow(or nothing in most cases) than allow the likes of Willian, Hazard, Ramires, Oscar run at them with pace and numbers. We saw it even against city.

Lets not get carried away here. The Champions League represents the best of the best and on any given day a team can put together a performance to beat the favourites. Its highly unpredictable. For instance, last year was the first time all the team who won their group qualified to the q-finals. I think we have enough mettle to beat PSG, however, I understand that they have great players who also want to achieve their objectives. It would be foolish to write them off completely.

Matic, Fab and Costa. Three world class players we didn't have last year... Should make all the difference.

While I agree they aren't just Cavani and Zlatan, they aren't nearly as imposing as they were last year. With the improvements we've made as a team and with a full strength squad we should be able to see this tie out. PSG are like a Helium balloon losing its helium slowly... I'm not in any way, shape or form as nervous as I was last year.

Poorly timed. And really who the fuck cares? He will leave the club someday whether its for Real or retirement... Enjoy him while you can rather than focussing on the inevitable.
