I do think we need to progress in this tourney mainly to show were are one of the top teams in the world, but Prem is taking precedence over the champions league this year... For me at least. He's also missed boatloads of chances to score as well. Do you really think we'd be looking for a striker the last three windows had he been even moderately close to adequate? He's not good enough, has never been good enough... And that is precisely why we need to get someone else in here. Eto'o hasn't been great but he's maintained a goal every two games. Throughout his Chelsea career Nando has maintain a piss poor conversion rate... around 1 in 3+ games. I love Chelsea fans though, no matter how shit a guys been we continue to support him and shine up the turd by saying "He won a corner" and "he works hard" LOL Eto'o does more for the team and should start.

Kroos would be a fabulous addition but I wouldn't hold my breath on this. He will want to go to a squad where he plays all the time and quite frankly I don't see him getting that chance with Chelsea. Matic was the buy we made for that position, Ramires is a lynchpin player for Jose... VanGinkel will be back and likely be integrated slowly, Mikel is still an option... I would love to have him but I don't think he'd want to come here.

Why is it that whenever people talk about a striker the first words are "He'd be cheaper than so and so"? There is a reason why he's cheaper! Mandzukic is similar to Gomez in that he gets a ton of chances with the team and league he's in... I want a footballer who can do more than stick in the odd 5 yd strike. Costa is much better that Mandzukic, not even close...

If we are in front after those 5 games I can't see a Jose team losing the title with 7 games to play. Just my opinion

I think the title will come down to which team can stay healthy. Right now it appears every team has been bitten with the injury bug and that seems to be the difference in most fixtures. March will obviously go a long way in deciding who takes it but more than that, I believe it will be health.
