Why does everyone compare our situation to City's? They are exactly what I mean when I say OVERKILL, you don't need 4 strikers fighting for one shirt. We have our complete striker and likely our first choice for the next 5yrs, buying Cavani makes little sense and shows a bit of cowardice on our part. We don't need the world's best at every position including the bench, no one wants Torres so essentially we've made our bed with him. Its not the perfect scenario but it never is, we just gotta hope that the other additions i.e Fab, Luis, Courtois combined with having Matic for a full year and the growth of Hazard, Oscar, Schurrle and Willian is enough. I have a feeling we'll be fine, Didier still has elite attributes, he can hold up the play and also win a shit ton of headers. If he can be the target for us to build attacks for the aforementioned we will still be fine. Like I said as is we aren't that far off, 4pts from the title and semis of the champs league.

Depth is one thing Depth is one thing, adding Costa and Cavani in the same summer is overkill. We have enough, its not like we were miles off the pace last year. until proven otherwise we've strengthened all over the pitch and will be much stronger than last year. No need to go in for Cavani at this point unless you have a feeling Costa will fail...

Right now the major difference between cavani and costa is, edinson has more of a track record. Doesn't mean he's better just he's a little more proven. I don't think the time to hit the panic button and sign another stud cf. put our faith in costa and give him every chance to succeed.

No, even if we don't win one of the major ones sacking Jose can't be the solution. Let him finish his contract and evaluate him after that period, the sacking thing gets too expensive and we need to be stable in order to compete. If we miss top 4 THEN we have a problem and he should be sacked...

Romelu Lukaku has shown to us all that he's a little baby and when he's challenged, would sooner run than stand and fight. I don't know about the rest of you but any player who doesn't fancy his chances at besting 36 yr old Drogba and extremely poor Torres, while under studying the most clinical striker in the world last year sounds like a coward in my books. I don't know if I agree with that. We need a healthy squad that's for sure but we lost out on the title by 4pts last year, not 15. We should be better even with costa for part a season, we have Cesc, matic for a full year, an improving Hazard and schurrle, not to mention the best defense in the prem. We will be better just through maturation and if costa plays 20 games that's 20 more than we had last year.

I think we will lose an edge if we play Fab in the 10. The beauty of this signing is utilizing his vision and technique from deeper positions. He will provide pockets of space for our attackers to exploit. Leave the 10 duties to Willian or Oscar.
