Whatever shape we decide to use this needs to be a proper thumping, we're overdue. I'd like to see Courtois Azpi Christensen Rudiger Moses Kante Cesc Alonso Willian Morata Hazard Early goals, kill the game, rest up for Arsenal. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I'm only going on what I've heard. But please ask your friends how he's overrated I'm dying to dig into this!
-
Lol overrated... Hahaha 22m for a 20yr old in this market? Ask your mates how much would they pay for him? Even if it rises to 30m, in this market that's a small pinch for the potential he possesses. He's a finisher on the final 3rd very good close control and clinical with his left. This is precisely the type of player Chelsea need to buy, we Aren't going all in for attackers who are readymade bonafide stars, just can't afford to do it anymore.
-
Yes please! Has all the tools to be a fantastic player! Would welcome him to Chelsea with open arms... I mean I am Jamaican so bias alert but I've been tracking him since before Genk and his growth as a footballer has been immense. You play him on the right of a front three and you will have Hazard lite in that role. Quick, tricky, good passer, excellent technique, great finisher too. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

It's the context, I have no problem with you responding but you need to have an understanding of what is being discussed. He clearly said stay away from Mahrez and wait for a world class forward, that's why I asked who? If not world class then Mahrez would be fine.
-
Maybe you should go back and read what I was responding to before you jump in.
-
Malcom is world class? Which Williams? Inaki?
-
Who?

And also advanced in age! 4 games in less than two weeks is a lot for most let alone two guys in their 30's? Even when they were in their prime and peak of their performances we are talking about good players not great. Certainly not the centrepieces of an attacking dynamo. I get what people would like to see, entertaining attacking football where we score 5's and 6's and keep a clean sheet in the process but that's just not what we have here. We have a manager who values hard work over relying on individual talent. In the end what you can always call on is for effort, that is the hardest part of the game to coax in today's footballer. It's the reason Jose is less effective and why Pep has to spend €500m to compensate for lack of motivation. We have a manager who is very intelligent and tactically brilliant! What we don't have is the ability to buy whoever we want regardless of price so as a result we are relying more on team tactics than going into the transfer market and building a fantasy team. Having said that people were moaning that we haven't done enough business in the window, they may be right on paper but in the context of a squad, how many players are advisable to bring in without disrupting the team dynamic? I mean we've seen it with so many teams who make 5/6 changes then struggle to find their feet for the entire season. Too much change isn't always a good thing, we've replaced players and not added to the squad perhaps due to this reasoning. Maybe January is another chance to add to the squad since we seem a more settled side? I don't know.... Bottom line is we need stability in order to see significant growth in the club. Conte is at the 18th month mark and we've seen him completely overhaul the team, implement a new philosophy and tactical deployment, lower the average age of the team and stabilize a sinking ship reeling from finishing 10th! All that while winning the league and coach of the year honours as well as getting to the finals of the fa cup. My suggestion is for all the kids who started following post 2003 id to have a bit of patience because the one thing we haven't had throughout that incredible run is a real identity and coincidentally some stability. Overhauls are expensive when the expectations are so high so my message to the conte out brigade is CAREFUL WHAT YOU WISH FOR! If Conte leaves right before a period where we are rationing our dollars because we have a new stadium to build and an owner who seems reluctant to spend at will, the club will suffer immensely! Just some food for thought as we move forward.... Back the manager, accent what we have, and we'll be champions again!
-
Can you ever justify dropping our most important attacker? You sound like someone who hasn't played at all. 4 games in 12 days is without doubt A LOT of football and it's shown in both of their performances of late. And no he's not defensive he works with what he is given. We don't have a brilliant attacking team. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

He most definitely changed something. Bakayoko was basically a secondary striker today. The shape looked like 3-2-5, Moses and Alonso were basically wingers not wingbacks. We had an excellent reaction in the second half and it showed in the final score.
-
We don't have a big enough squad to decide how we want to play game after game. Pedro and Willian played 4 straight games in short window of time. Conte is managing the squad, we just don't have the squad depth to play the way you think is acceptable against smaller teams. We have more defenders than we have attackers right now, look at the squad what else could be done to rectify this?
-
You need to go you plastic.

A lot of kids on social media and YouTube spreading some really negative propaganda about the club and the manager. It is so embarrassing to hear so called Chelsea supporters shit on a man who delivered us from obscurity and set records in the process. Many complain about the style of football being too defensive? Really? I mean the fact of the matter is our true strength lies in defense. Of our 4 world class players 3 of them take up defensive roles. We have one absolutely brilliant attacker and the rest are average or maybe just good. We play a style that is catered to the strengths of the team, what sense does it make to play possession football with the likes of Alonso, Kante, Bakayoko, Pedro and Morata aren't great in possession? I mean that's half the team! Even if you add cesc and take out Bakayoko(which will lead to a whole other set of problems) even Cesc is not great in possession, he gives the ball away and likes to play more direct. You give Antonio Conte the backing and support he's never had in his career and I think you have a world beater of a team. Truly I only think this team is maybe two or three players away from eclipsing the likes of Bayern and Juventus. What he's asking for here is an investment of maybe 130m? There are a number of ways to go about how you spend it too. Either you buy a left sided midfielder who can attack like Lemar or a LWB in Sandro. If you get Lemar then the next move is to offset him with a more defensive minded wingback on the right like Azpi. We will need a goalscoring right sided attacker as well, someone with real quality in the final third, perhaps someone like... Fekir, Malcom or even Leon Bailey perhaps even Zaha... just someone who has quality in the final third. You get Conte the players he needs and we will be miles ahead of the game. All these PlayStation managers on social media would fall back and change their misguided tune. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Agree with most except the benefit of the doubt bit. One thing that can't be explained away by lack of hrs in the classroom is the code of conduct from the many federations he is a member of. Even if he meant no malice from it, he has certainly violated the code of conduct laid out by French Football Federation, UEFA, la liga and FIFA. So none of this lack of education counts for much because along with the handbooks from the various federations, he also has had PR training from all of his clubs and possibly even his own personal PR firm. If none of this has been covered then KICK IT OUT and SAY NO TO RACISM are clearly just for show and have no real mandate. I will be watching this with anticipation. It would be prudent for one of the governing bodies to take action if they are truly anti-racism.

So now you see where my anger came from. Good we are learning... slowly. My original post wasn't just for you but also for the other geniuses who think there isn't a reason to be outraged and feel the need to call people social justice warriors! If you have since come around and realize this is a serious issue and marginalizing is in poor taste then good, but don't call me a fool when you've had to retract a statement. All this talk about the Blackhawks does little for the discussion about blackface and how griezmann's decision to don it is completely out of line. If you excuse Chicago my points still stand! That no one cares about what griezmann did because it has no affect on their lives. If you are black you would've be outraged by the sight of it, and then he tells people to 'calm down'? Complete lack of respect or sensitivity of the issues.
-
I'm telling you to STFU because you are using a terrible part of human history to explain away why demeaning and demonizing someone is not a reason to be outraged. Did you not say this: "It is a completely blown out of proportion sensitivity that is a complete non-issue. The fact that people even bring this up is pathetic. Oh wow, Antoine Griezmann is fond of some of the greatest and most important black American athletes of all time and wants to dress up as them - emulate them, but oh it resembles something that happened 80 years ago..." And again, you point out Chicago but ignore the hundreds of other instances where the native communities have been demeaned. This is why my blood is boiling! You seem to be explaining away injustices by highlighting a few good things that have come of it. Now in the case of Griezmann none of this applies. He is wrong and I hope football as a whole possesses the presence of mind to either fine him or suspend him! I refuse to accept the ignorance plea

I will bet a small fortune you are not black. What you fail to understand in your 'vast knowledge of blackface' is most instances of it were used to degrade, demean and demonize an entire race. How could you look at that, have some knowledge of it, and then say people who are outraged are too sensitive? Is blackface not a sensitive issue? Or is that also marginalized because your mancrush takes precedence? Are you so tone deaf that you can't see that ones skin tone isn't a fu_king costume? The history of blackface should make any utterance of it off limits much like the use of the n-word. The idea of "blacking up" at its ROOTS is racist! I'm suppose to get over it because some idiot with a bunch of followers said he didn't mean it? You mean to tell me that none of the FFF, La Liga or Uefa have no code of conduct that would tell this asshole that something like this can be deemed highly offensive? That his PR people haven't briefed him on race relations and conduct? That he's never in his life come across an press clipping or anything of the sort condemning blackface? Sorry not buying any of that. And if it does happen to be true then football hasn't gone far enough to educate its employees. I often wonder what kind of outrage this would meet if he decided to pin his eyelids back and go dressed up as Kagawa! What I'm highlighting here is how you perceive racism is predicated from your position in life AND how society as a whole views the victims. Perfect example of this is american sports and the teams washington redskins, Chicago Blackhawks, Atlanta braves and a whole host of college teams. You think if native culture and heritage were viewed with any sort of respect and dignity those names would be allowed to exist? Not in my bubble. Griezmann is 100000% wrong and the only people who are calling it SOCIAL JUSTICE WARRIORS are the ones that (a) haven't educated themselves on the history of it ( come from an upbringing that has sheltered them and thus makes it hard empathize with issues of race © are racist (d) are fanboys with mancrushes who can't live with the notion the object of their affection has done something wrong! In the case of zwarte piet Sorry but zwarte piet was racist from its inception! The Dutch were HUGE colonizers and that image was used to demonize blacks and to poison the minds of the locals. It's propaganda that justifies colonization.

Who else should be in for him?
-
Acquiring VanDijk and shipping out Luiz keeps with our transfer policy. It will in no way, shape or form impact on our ability to get a LB.
-
Stocked??? Lol
-
Zaha is like an AND 1 mixtape player. All moves no finish. Whoever we pursue as a third forward needs to be clever and clinical. What we don't need is another dribbler who does everything right except score.
