Why? are they starving for cash?
-
There will be another better, young striker we could buy in 2-3yrs who will be better than Morata or Belotti. I feel they are overhyped because the marketplace is so small. Either that or Tammy will be rounding into form.
-
My guess is if this isn't wrapped up soon(within the next few days) we're not in for him. Dortmund have ambitions too and they will need time to find a sufficient sub. If they are keen to sell it will be to a certain point in the transfer market

I think Emenalo makes the initial contact, Marina is the closer and she's been terrible at it. Still, Real Madrid felt they were making progress with Neymar’s father. Motta even drew up a contract between the club and Neymar. Abramovich had not given up wooing Neymar either. Michael Emenalo, Chelsea’s director of football, flew to Santos to try again. He met Neymar and proceeded to deliver one of the best sales pitches Motta had ever heard. “It was the very first time that I saw Neymar’s father listen to someone for more than 30 minutes without looking at his mobile,” Motta said. Emenalo told the story of the Chicago Bulls and Michael Jordan. How Chicago was not a big team, but together they evolved into international icons. Neymar could become Chelsea’s Michael Jordan, Emenalo said. José Mourinho was about to return to the club as manager and he wants to sign you, the Nigerian added. “You are going to lead Chelsea to the top.”

Not if you really care about their development. Ruben needs to play a lot, he's never had a loan. I still have high hopes for him but he's at a cross roads now, needs to go to Palace and show signs of dominating
-
makes sense.
-
Hard to imagine that Bakayoko does not sign at Chelsea. Especially since it turns out that Monaco is not blocking. No more than the VM ...
-
As I go through this thread again, this is one of the best posts made. You all should take this in, its precisely why Bakayoko is heading to the Bridge
-
Ya, what's the problem?
-
Good signing. High quality squad player.
-
I doubt it highly. You don't go from being heavily linked with Lukaku, Morata and Belotti to the erroneously linked Aubameyang... seems a stretch to me.
-
lolololol
-
Oh but it is a race, a race to finish deals before the market changes(like it did with Lukaku) and our negotiations for secondary and tertiary targets go up because teams know we're desperate. By allowing our competitors to set the bar and the fee we are going to have a difficult time trying to get deals done in a shrinking market. Its happened each of the last two seasons.
-
Would love to sign him. Reminds me of a cross between Mane and ousmane dembele. Exquisite pace, fantastic technique, adds goals and great balance. Could be a nice impact sub. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
-
oh okay. My interpretation is continuity in attack to which I don't think Aubameyang is all that adept in.
-
What do you define as link up?
-
This is so comical. We lose out on Lukaku so now a player we've been erroneously linked to is the target? And if 75M was too much to pay for a HG, premier league proven, chelsea supporter then how much is too much for a one season dynamo with a €100m release clause? Lukaku, whether you like him or not, is a commodity that is known his flaws and strengths are well documented. Belotti has a really small sample size and the risk of him being a catastrophe is greater than Lukaku's Still I like Belotti I just hate that we allowed Utd to pip in ahead of us regardless of who are target is. This will make negotiations so much harder now because we are desperate, Costa out the door, Lukaku off the market leaving Belotti and Morata.... lol fun times ahead fellas

You sound like you are caught up thinking you know what's best for the club and wishing them to fail is in some way your way of confirming your ego driven opinion. I never want the club to fail, I know what I want the club to pursue but that will always be a peripheral opinion I have no control over. At end of the day my bottom line is the club remains successful regardless of what I deem right or wrong. If the ethos of the club changes drastically and don't fit my philosophy then thats when you start rethinking which club you are following.
-
hahahaha... So when Pogba wanted to leave for Utd how much did his price change? How much you think Verratti will go for to Barca?
-
25 goals and a small market! Again do you not understand that market dictates price? And I hate to break it to you but Torino want €100m for Belotti, he just re-signed and his release clause ain't cheap so ya they will look at this shrinking market and put a mint on Belotti's head, you know why? Because the market dictates how much a player is worth.
-
What has Harry Kane won? Do you get the concept of market dictating price? Let me explain it to you in layman terms. If there is one gallon of water left in the world and you and I are thirsty do you think the price for water goes down, stays the same or goes up? Chelsea played their hand by telling Costa he's not needed. Utd don't have Zlatan... How many top strikers are even made available?
-
LOL. So how much is Harry Kane worth right now? MARKET DICTATES PRICE.
-
That team would seriously struggle to score goals midweek and then again on the weekend.
-
Market dictates price my friend. There aren't any available strikers who can score you 25 a season. Even if his evaluation is lets say.... 60m, with him being homegrown and prem proven you have to assume that 75m, though overpriced, fits with the current market. How much you think Real Madrid want for Morata? A guy who's never played regularly and never reached even 20 goals in a season?
-
I don't buy that myth at all. for quite some time now the money in has been in close relation to the money out. Our transfer kitty is non-existent despite what many people on social media say we're willing to spend.
