  1. No you are wrong. He's Fernando Torres so logic and good sense doesn't apply. He can't do any wrong. If he is playing badly it must be because of the players around him! When he is invisible for 90 minutes it must be because he didn't get any service and not because he was lazy and has no way of creating chances for himself! Leave Torres alone it is not his fault. Stop attacking him, it's RDM's fault, or our midfields fault, or the referees fault...anybody but him.
  2. I'm so sorry. Please forgive me for forgetting how much more important Torres corner was than Drogba's goal, or Cech's penalty save, or Ramires' chip against Barca, or Cole's clearance against Napoli. I apologize. I'm an idiot. Torres singlehandedly won us the CL I don't know how I could have forgotten that.
  3. Only on talk chelsea is the corner Torres won more important than the goal Drogba scored. Jesus fucking christ. Torres is just infallible. We should build a statue of him at the Bridge because we are all forever indebted to him for winning us the Champions League by winning that corner for us. All hail Torres who made the greatest play in Chelsea history by winning that corner. Because of that corner he's pretty much the most important player in Chelsea history. Crown Torres.
  4. Why do people even bother with posting lineups? We already know RDM is going to play the same park the bus lineup with a Mikel/Lampard pivot and Ramires on the wing like he always does. If we know anything about RDM it's that he's predictable. Or consistent depending on how you like to look at things.
  5. Yes. He won a corner for us in the CL final so he pretty much won the whole thing for us! If Ashley Cole hadn't made that clearance against Napoli....we wouldn't have won it. If Cech hadn't made that penalty save against Messi....we wouldn't have won it. I could list a hundred other examples. What a completely stupid argument. Torres supporters will find any excuse in the world to defend him. It is ridiculously annoying. Just STFU already. If the best thing you can say about him was that he won a corner for us in a CL match then that says it all really. We paid 50m for him so that he could win corners for us that other players could score on. Just great.
  6. So Atletico wasn't a good team? Or are we just going to completely forget about that match because it contradicts your argument? If we had won I certainly bet you all would be using a victory against a good Atletico team to support your argument. But since we didn't you can conveniently brush aside the result as if it never happened.
  7. That's the guy everybody loves to defend. Plays like crap for 80 minutes. Bitches at the ref. Then goes to the locker room pouting and leaves his team behind.
  8. Ramires as a winger so counterproductive.
  9. This is one of the dumbest things i've ever seen posted here. Which is saying a lot. If anybody was unprofessional about things, it was the club for sending a senior player who has helped this team win titles in the past to the U21 squad all because he is choosing to finish the contract that both he and the club LEGALLY AGREED TO. When the club gave him that contract they promised him those wages. How on earth is Malouda the villain for not wanting to take less than something he was promised and is legally and contractually obligated to receive. I GUARANTEE NONE of you criticizing him would be doing anything differently if you were in his shoes. A football player's career doesn't last forever. He has children and a family to take care of. He is in the twilight of his career and has every right to try to get as much money as he can from the sport of football to support his family while he's still physically able to play the sport. He hasn't gone to the press. He hasn't gone to the media. He hasn't caused a disturbance or come out publicly against the club. He's been quiet and said nothing. This situation is not his fault and he shouldn't be vilified.
  10. As if being married automatically makes someone mature....
  11. ManUre had Welbeck, Rooney, Chicarito, Berbatov, etc. certainly didn't need to add a RVP. Who cares if some players don't play? This isn't an intramural league where everybody gets fair and equal playing time. It's about playing the best players, not the most. Just look at Spain in Euros. Mata couldn't sniff the field and he was our best player last year. Was Spain having quality depth such a horrible thing? Do you think Spain cares about which good players they have that aren't playing when they are winning anyway? Hulk can play on the right wing....but really...it doesn't matter where he plays. Having too many good players on your team is never a bad thing, it's a great thing. Who cares if Moses and Marin never play if there are better players playing instead of them? Did Spain care that Mata never played because Iniesta, Xavi, and Silva were playing over him? Nope. Some of you just don't get it. It's about having the best team. Not the most fair team with the most evenly distributed playing time.
  12. So if your boss came to you and asked you to leave your big company, to go to a much smaller company, and get paid a lot less, and also have to do a lot more work...you'd be willing to? Guarantee all the people criticizing Malouda would do the exact same thing in his shoes.
  13. Since when is having too many good players on your team a bad thing? It's the opposite. It's a great thing. Look at United. They had 10 good strikers on the team and still went out and signed RVP. Was he necessary? No. But he still makes them better. We are Chelsea FC. We are not a small club but a lot of you still have this small club mentality acting like it's crazy for us to sign a bunch of good players. Do you see United, or City, or Madrid, or Barca not signing great players just because they have other good players? Hell no. So why shouldn't we do the same? We are big club, some of you need to stop thinking like we are Tottenham or some other worthless club.
  14. Who cares if its necessary? He'd still make us better so If we have the chance We should get him. Would signing Ronaldo Be necessary? No. But if we have the chance youd still sign him anyway because he makes the team better
  15. I love Bertrand put playing him on the wing is a terrible decision. And starting Mikel and Meireles as the mids is another bad choice. Really annoyed by RDM's selections. Sturridge should be starting on the wing at least if he's not going to play at CF. Wonder if Romeu will ever play for us again.
  16. Yeah. Lukaku had a great performance coming on as a sub today.
  17. He sucks now because he's one dimensional, he needs other players to perfectly set him up so he can run on to the end of passes and slide them in. His link up play is terrible, he goes invisibile for large stretches of games because he only gets involved when others serve him up passes on a silver platter. Add that to the fact that he has almost no ability to create something out of nothing and create chances/goals for himself now. Oh yeah...and then there's the fact that everytime he gets the ball he appears hesistant and indecisive which gives defenders time to close on him before he can do anything. His lack of confidence is another big reason why he has struggled. His lack of aggression in attacking is always going to make it hard for him to be a threat.
  18. We can't keep playing Ramires as a winger. He is invisible for a majority of the game when we do and we look terrible when we play him there. Yes he's a good player but he's hurting us more than helping when we play him out of position.
  19. No. The season is a marathon, not a sprint. The idea is to rest your players early so they don't ever get tried in the first place, and then throughout the season so they can continue to stay fresh. Waiting until they actually get fatigued to give them rest is just dumb.
  20. Wow...some of you are out of your minds with these lineups. Did you all forget Bertrand is perfectly capable of playing RB as well? He played RB very well for Team GB. Start him there. No way Oscar starts. He has a friendly with Brazil Wednesday so he will only have been with the team for 2 days. Doubt he'll even be a sub in that short amount of time.. Even if we signed Azpillicueta this week there's no way he would start on Sunday already. Some of you are crazy.
  21. Why on earth would RDM take off Hazard for Bertrand but leave Ramires in at RB???
  22. Why hasn't Ramires been subbed out yet? Playing him at RB is pointless we might as well set up a cone in his area and call it a defender. His effort on the last goal was atrocious.
