  1. You're entitled to your incorrect opinion
  2. By the way, even though I put us fourth, I don't expect us to finish there but I expect top six, if arsenal have a poor season then I don't think there's much difference in terms of quality between everton, Newcastle, Liverpool and tottenham.
  3. Cahill would only be a bench player next season anyway.
  4. It will be 4-2-3-1 with Naismith playing in the hole behind jelavic, Gibson and Fellaini as the 2 in the centre and if he signs pienaar and Osman on the wings.
  5. I'm entirely sure who I want to be right.
  6. Just before anyone starts with a he's one of our most important players. He's not, he showed last year he's not good enough anymore. This was the right time for him to leave. However this is the most gutted I've been from an player leaving everton, he's a modern day everton legend and I'll love him for all the memories he's given me. All the best Tim, once a blue always a blue You lot might remember a certain overhead kick he once made.
  7. So who is everyone's three everton players? Jelavic, Barkley, Baines (and Pienaar)
  8. I'm in. Will be the first time in TC history an non Chelsea win will win this. Am I the only one who has two Chelsea players not three? (hazard and Marin)
  9. Can Jim please read/respond to my PM please
  10. We play Motherwell Today, then we're off to Indonesia in play in the Java Cup against Malaysia XI and then Galatasaray/Indonesia, not the best opposition but the stadium is huge (88,086 capacity). Then we come back to play Blackpool away which will be a decent game. Then Tony Hibbert's testimonial against AEK Athens at Goodison (Hibbo scores, we riot!) and then we finish off away to Malaga which will be a good test. And after that we beat Man utd 5-0 on the first game of the season.
  11. 1. Man United - Sir Alex is a great manager and with the addition of Kagawa to bolster the midfield along with the return of Vidic they will regain their title. 2.Chelsea - I really like the look of Chelsea at the moment, and I'm not just saying that because of you guys. Solid defence with Cahill, Terry, Cole and Ivanovic along with a pacey midfield involving Ramires, Hazard, Marin and De Bruyne. Though I only think you'll finish that high if Torres can get off the ground. 3. Manchester City - Great players no doubt, but Mancini is shite. Seriously the only reason they won last season was because United had their best defender out for the season. 4. Everton - Optimistic I know, but for four of the last 5 or 6 seasons we've been in the top 3 form sides in the country from January but we always start poorly, though I think that will change as for the first time we will be starting the season with a proven goalscorer! (Jelavic)We've improved on last years squad with Pienaar's signing looking imminent, the addition of Naismith and I can't see us losing Baines or Fellaini. Also the other sides around that position won't do to well in my opinion. 5. Arsenal - Podolski will be a flop I'm certain of it, Van Persie will leave. Though they'll have the return of Wilshere to boost their quality and I think Giroud will do quite well, though won't carry them for an entire season like RVP. 6. Spurs- they only look like losing Modric really out of their better players, Adebayor looks close too. But Modric is a huge part of their play and I'm not sure on AVB. 7. Newcastle - Don't think they will lose anyone important but Europa league will hinder them in my opinion. 8. Liverpool - They are pretty shit and I can't see the 'Anfield faithful' taking to Rodgers. Suarez's days are numbered and the expectations (as deluded as they are) are too difficult to handle for any manager. 9. Aston Villa - i think Lambert will turn them around, really rate him as a manager, McCleish absolutely killed them last year. He'll get N'Zogbia going and Bent will chip in with his usual 20 goals a season. 10. Sunderland - O'Neill is a good manager and as long as they bring in a half decent striker then they should be able to do top ten. 11. Fulham - can't see Dempsey staying and even if he does I can't see him replicating last seasons form, they have swapped Zamora/Pog with Rodellega which is clearly a disaster waiting to happen. 12. West Ham- Big Sam, need I say more? 13. Swansea - Not sure the new manager will too well, but he'll maintain the philosophy which works well enough. 14. West Brom - Good manager in Clarke but they have a poor squad. 15. Southampton - Might be a surprise for a few people who will have them for the drop but I think Lallana and Lambert will shine in the premier league. 16. QPR- I actually think they'll do better but I hate Hughes. 17. Norwich - They'll struggle this year, but I think they will squeeze through 18. Wigan - time to go. 19. Reading- they may have had good Championship form but I'm not impressed by them. 20. Stoke - Pulis' dreadful tactics won't be enough to get them to stay up.
  12. Everton just won 1-0 against Dundee United thanks to a late Ross Barkley header. that's 2 wins in 2 now in pre-season, looks like you lads and the rest of the premier league are already playing catch up We play Motherwell on Saturday.
  13. We beat Morecombe 4-1 today. Sorry lads but it looks like we've got the league wrapped up
  14. Rate our home kit a three or four out of ten, won't be buying it. Can't stand the stupid sleeves!
  15. Looks awesome mate, sure you'll be happy enough to take the late shifts with him to watch the footy together! Wrong shade of blue but we can't all be perfect eh? Congrats GG
  16. I'll join when I go on Facebook just so you give this post a 'like'
  17. Right that's fair enough, I can assume I have done nothing to devalue the forum then? (apart from the Hazard thread) If your best members are leaving the forum because of immature members of the site then they are quite immature themselves, the likelihood is they will come back anyway once the season actually starts or even once the pre-season matches start. All Chelsea forums will have attracted many 'fans' over the past few weeks because of the champions league win, it's not just this forum, and every forum on the internet will be more clutter with 'crap' because it is off season and it's summer so teenagers in particular have more time on their hands. There's little need to hand out vigorous suspensions to valued and loyal members if they happen to go off topic or have a bit of friendly banter with other posters in what is currently a very dull period in the footballing calender. Not only that but the immature members will be gone soon enough and you'll get back to high quality of posting, you just have to wait it out.
  18. What counts as spamming? pointless crap or off topic discussions too? In the other club kits thread, Cap, Spike and myself went slightly off topic with French culture for a few posts but I don't really think that was spamming as it was actually debate.
  19. No I haven't seen it, nor do I intend too. However Seul contre tous, Irreversible and La Haine just to name a few are amazing films. Please leave the forum.
  20. I would love to see him as Moyes' successor, not completely unlikely when the time does come being a former player for us.
