Ok City down, last year we NEVER took advantage of rivals loses. Win vs Everton would now be even sweeter. BTW swansea third straight win, title contenders?
-
Should bet on opposition, that gives you either Chelsea win or some money in return Unless we play someone like Barca where is no doubt that we will win...
-
I will probably get some stick for saying that but if City signs Falcao while we sign Remy, that could decide the title. There is a lot of IFs, but City strike force will be extremely good then, not to say that they already won it last year with prety much same team, that is now improved in defence and midfield. Im very against nonsense spending, but sometimes if there is quality player who will improve you available, maybe you take that option. Last time we won title, we spent like crazy, Im not pointing that we should spend alot again, because that is not the right way (just look at united), but to invest properly. If we win league because of Falcao, or if we lose it because Remy wont do well in Costa absence, Im sure no one will say it was wrong to bring Falcao. Lot of IFs, but hardly would Falcao do worse than Remy, however Remy could cost us points and then there is no return. Anyway, Remy is here and I hope he does well in next seasons, help us to win lot of trophies.

Chicarito was great in first seasons, now he lost fitness and form. He isnt even starter for Mexico...but working under Mou could definately bring him to best. Just its big risk and United wouldnt ever sell to us, not cheap at least...
-
Say what you want, but against small sides, Hazard-Mata-Schurle with Costa and Cesc would be killer attack. Shame Mata didnt want to wait for his chance. He is rotting in ManU...I guess it would be better for him here on bench than in united starting eleven. He even got dropped for spain NT. But what it is it is....
-
His best goal is from 2 years ago...so he hasnt improved since then even a bit
-
Think we should retire #9 for obvious reasons
-
It would be good to see them together at chelsea one day...
-
Remy was hyped to be something like next Henry etc. He scored goals but he was known to be a bit of cunt with not so great work ethic. And qpr? What i call being ambitious is going to teams like Chelsea, bayern, psg or at least spurs, arsenal. Qpr was all about money, not ambition. If I was picking back then between Qpr or even Newcastle, Swansea I would pick Qpr only for money, newcastle and swansea are simply better english clubs.

I did say his character is why i dont want him here a few pages ago...Its main reason why I dont want him here. I have feeling he is kind of player who works ass of to get big juicy contract and fancy club and then his performances drop to bang average. I assume 2nd striker will still play alot this season, I feel Mou will risk Costa as less as possible, probably replacing him in around 60/70min if we have good result. He will also start about 15 games, maybe more depending on cup's progress. As much I like Drogba, he looks like he cant run anymore, or at least does it very slow. I dont expect many goals from him, despite it would be nice. Anyway, spending 20m for second striker wouldnt be too much then, considering he will play alot, after all we have 35m Willian on bench too... Remy might work, but someone with more determination, inteligence and hunger for success would fit better here IMO.
-
I hope you have seen him in first season at Qpr. Giroud is better player, his allround game is better. Finishing about same. And I dont want Remy because he would be bad player. I dont want him because he is player who never gives 100% to the club. He doesnt give a shit realy. Thats why.
-
Giroud, Gignac, Gameiro plenty of players who had great season in france, then went on being average. Sometimes it takes more than just goals, striker need intelligence to improve to higher levels. Only reason Im accepting Remy move is because Mou is behind this and he is usualy right.
-
But Can Remy do it on cold night vs stoke or Psg? Think he lacks that edge of intelligence to be better. He is more runner than thinker and I dont like that. Wont be dissapointed if it happens, but he will have to prove me wrong in games for chelsea, not on stats from last season. I just dont want another average striker who wastes shots, breaks down attacks etc. Hopefuly Remy aint that kind. I want striker who will give 100% to Chelsea like Costa does. Who genuinely likes Chelsea and work for Mou. Who wants to improve and take every opportunity given. And not only world class players do that. There are strikers out there; relatively cheap, just need to look around.
-
We dont realy struggle in open games. We struggle against closed teams and that is profile of striker we would need of the bench. Killer instinct over pace.
-
I was pointing on better striker, not world class one...
-
Then bring Huntelaar, Alcacer, etc...there are many fish in sea who dont need to cost fortune but can still do great. I know Remy had good season, but he also had disastrous season year ago and two years ago. Marseille fans said he never filled the potential, that he doesnt work hard enough, is inconsistent. His move to Qpr was also prove he doesnt give fuck about achieving anything serious. Now he had good season wants a move to big club and he can again dissapoint like before. Im quite sure Remy was never in Mou plan, but now with Torres gone, he is one of few available. Spending 10/15m more to get better striker would be more beneficial to our club. Quality over quantity I say. We can live with Costa and Bony type over Costa, Remy and another average striker. Two quality are better than three, two of them being average. And for same money spent...
-
Ba was in quite same situation. Remy year before was bang shit with Qpr... Paco Alcacer or Bony or Destro at least have potential. Remy lacks character. And he scored those goals with regular play. Now from bench is other thing. Destro seems to be master of that, much like Chicarito for many years.
-
Also if we cant keep player like Bony or Benteke happy on the bench, I dont know how City manages Jovetic and Negredo, Real Benzema and Higuain (year ago), United Chicarito... I would understand Falcao, Cavani wouldnt be happy on bench but Bony, Benteke or even Jackson should be! We are still one of best clubs in world, we could achieve many trophies together and they would still play LOT even as second striker. Paycheck is good and being coached by one of best managers around. At one point I bet people will start comparing Remy to Torres, how it would actualy be better if we kept Torres. Save this post if you want to, he will be decent, few games without goal and people will get dissaapointed with him. I mean even Etoo got blamed for things last year at times and he actualy had very decent season.
-
Not world class, but someone on Bony level would be truly amazing.
-
I think he likes #19 more, he has it in spain too, while he could simply take #9 if he wanted...But could be done for marketing reasons...
-
Only problem I have with Remy is his character. He seems to not give 100% and looks for money. He joined fucking QPhaha of all clubs for fuck sake...
-
With Xavi and Xabi out, this guy could become key player in midfield for spain, considering Iniesta aint that young anymore.
-
Oh how right you were
-
Remy is good but for a club like us, title chasers, plenty of games, pressing game with players get exhausted, Costa who is potentialy injury prone, we should target better than Remy. Even if Costa remains healthy, second striker will likely play 1/3 of all games and I wouldnt trust Remy in CL, or any bigger PL game...
