  1. Its amazing how many people still want Jose despite getting sacked at Chelsea twice, Failing at United (26 points after 17 games when he was sacked), failing with Spurs, leaving Roma in 9th, having a terrible record with youngsters. "At least he will motivate these youngsters" sounds like the vibes argument people make when making nostalgia appointments like Jose, Lampard, Gerrard. We need a tactician - imaginative and able to coach attacking patterns.
  2. Nizaar Kinsella says that Portuguese report is not true
  3. Both expensive. Guirassy for 15m is the only cheap deal available. Even a Firmino/Karim loan will have crazy wages to cover.
  4. I saw him for the first time last weekend and he was decent after coming on. Didn't manage to take his chances but he immediately improved Villa's attacking threat, was able to hold off defenders and keep attacks going. Not an option for Chelsea but he can be a good striker in the league
  5. True. Karim didn't have major injury but he is 36. A lot older than all of the dud loans. There's a possibility he won't able to cope with the demands of the league even. And we will need to change the striker again in the summer and start all over again. Signing a 27-29 year old will also bring in the experience and has a better chance of working out medium term.
  6. Our wage structure will not allow this. + Short-term loan fixes are not the way to go. We've seen it with Saul, Higuain, Falcao, Pato, Sign a striker in their prime.
  7. I think Nkunku is not playing because he's injured again - hip injury. I doubt Mudryk would play over Nkunku at any point.
  8. From where did Spurs unearth Udogie and Porro ? They’re both great
  9. I was happy with Enzo and Caicedo. I wanted the club to sign a midfielder who plays better with the attacking line (Odegaard lite) and not just a group of DMs like we ended up doing - Caicedo Lavia and Ugo in the summer
  10. Doesn’t feel like it but Chelsea is above Newcastle and Man United in the table and we have won 4 of the last 5 in the league.
  11. Really shows the difference in thinking where Pep was targeting Paqueta, Nunes in midfield and we were looking at pure data driven DM signings.
  12. Same day last year. Willian scored in a 2-1 loss. Won't be surprised to see this repeat
  13. High end wonderkid Brazilian. The new Endrick
  14. More proof Matt Law has lost his sources at the club
  15. Identity alone will only take you so far. We will have the same problems in creating. We need an obsessive Pep type coach who’s able to drill attacking patterns into the young team.
  16. A big no to this. Among the worst routes to take. His toxic narcisstic personality with the current squad will lead to the stages of burnout that you always see with Mourinho tenures. There’s no indication he’s able to build a team anymore. His last 3 jobs have had little meaningful success. The last time he built a good team was 14-15 Chelsea and that was by sacrificing KdB, Salah for Cesc, Costa. The team didn’t sustain form beyond one season either.
