  1. Now that Moyes to United is done and Pellegrini to City looks dead on, if Chelsea don't get Mourinho ( ), then I'd take Hiddink. But a name like Hiddink will only have a negative effect on the manager. If the team is not doing well, there will be media pressure on manager and the stories will eventually spawn from lazy journos that Roman will replace Manager X with Hiddink. A name like Emenalo is no threat. Don't think we should hire a big name director of football
  2. What about Guus Hiddink? If Roman can convince him out of retirement
  3. Yes. While on the other hand Ramires is just a poor passer of the ball generally. Not a good fit together, these 2. I think Luiz should not be played at DM at all from next season. We'll have Oriol Romeu and probably Michael Essien back and we have to expect a new playmaking midfielder in the summer. Luiz at DM was more out of necessity than talent
  4. Luiz-Rami pivot is just pathetic imo. Neither can pass. Both have one of the worst pass-completion rates in Chelsea squad. Sure, Luiz has picked out the long balls from defence at times, but his passing has been woeful whenever he's played at midfield. Against Spurs, he had a 71% pass-completion rate(?) and that too with Parker and Huddlestone in the opposition midfield who are close to immobile. He brings a good defensive cover to the pivot but Luiz-Rami is asking for suicide. They f*** up so many counter-attacks! Against Aston Villa - Luiz came on at half-time and had an awful ten mins, misplacing half of the passes he made. Pass completion in this game was 72% and it only improved after Benteke's sending off when he got more space.
  5. I wonder why. We've been raiding Porto since 2004
  6. That just shows how little you expect from Rafa. He does something completely ordinary like putting Luiz in midfield after going down to 10 men and you're praising it like it's tacitical ingenuity
  7. I think BluesChick has an unfair advantage in the Most-Liked forumer category
  8. Pellegrini is a good tactician but I can't help but smile when I think that the Manchester clubs will have Moyes and Pellegrini at the helm. Jose will eat them alive in mindgames
  9. Signings like Javi Garcia, Jack Rodwell and Scott Sinclair get you nowhere
  10. You couldn't script that finish! Watford in Wembley!
  11. But Spurs will take it as a step up and try to improve the squad. If Arsenal gets 4th, they'll celebrate the Top 4 trophy and be happy and sign an obscure young Frenchman as their 'marquee' signing in the summer
  12. Stoke 1-0 Tottenham Let's all laugh at Tottenham! :D :D :D
  13. You clearly have no confidence in your opinion when you resort to having a go at me. I shall not bother this time
  14. What Spike said. Nobody will try to argue that he is a charming little fellow but he went down and made changes to the way he approached games. For such an aggressive player, to go a full season with just 1 yellow card is impressive no matter what.
  15. This is unfair. He has mellowed in recent years. There was a ridiculously long stretch of games where he didn't even pick up a yellow card or something. This 'attitude' problem is not as big as a few years ago i feel edit: http://www.mirrorfootball.co.uk/news/The-new-angel-of-Manchester-United-Former-bad-boy-Wayne-Rooney-has-just-ONE-booking-this-season-article888892.html
  16. Absolutely buzzing. Champions League!
  17. Move him back to CB and throw Cahill out of the team please
  18. Lampard dedicates goals to his mother. "I have been here a long time, I lost my mum a few years ago and she was my biggest supporter so it's for her,"
  19. The 2nd goal reminded me of the winner vs Wolves a year ago. Carbon Copy
  20. Lampard was overrun in midfield tbh. Hazard for MOTM today. Everything went through him!
  21. I don't believe it. He's done it! Frank Lampard is All-time leading Chelsea goalscorer and that too at a time when we most needed it. Top 4 secured. A Cup to win. Pumped Up for the last week of the season! And how good is this picture btw
